One month or thirty days passed quickly for the students thanks to always being busy with training with no day off.

They also have learned a little about this world: a year is divided into twelve months with each month having thirty days. Thirty days are divided into five weeks with six days each week. There are no name for months or seasons. They just call it 1st month, 2nd month and so on up to 12th month. As for the current years, it's year 10352 of New Age. So todays date is 17th day of fifth month, year 10352 of New Age. Apparently the reason why it is called new age has been lost to history. No one actually knows why it is called like that, they just call it like that. As for seasons it seems there are the exact same seasons like on earth. The winter is probably gonna be a bitch.

As for Echo he has learned how to fully control his mana and has completed learning five magics: [Body reinforcement], [Fireball], [Waterball], [Earth Wall] and [Shock]. And currently he is learning four other magics: [Wind Slash], [Fire Shot], [Minor Healing] and [Air Step].

He tries to focus on magic that goes well with his fighting style and movements. There is also one spell that he wants to learn certainly and that is the teleportion skill that Ana used. When he asked her about it, she said she won't teach it to anyone unless she seems them worthy. But she did tell a little about the magic. Apparently it's part of Space elemental magic. She also said there is void magic, but both of these two are extremely rare and most people don't know about these two magic types. And that is probably the reason why Karena didn't mention them.

(AN: the real reason why I added these two elements in this chapter was because my dumbass forgot to add them into ch5)

Beside the new magic, he has learned more about his [Magic Cards] and [Magic Deck]. The cards from the deck can appear into your hand as a whole deck or as many as you need. Also as long as you don't use magic spell with a card, the card stays and can be thrown as a regular card. The coolest part is that the regularly thrown cards can be summoned back to your hand. As for the cards strength, they are strong. They bend and weighed about the same as a regular plastic card, but can't be teared or cut. As for now, there is no way to destroy these cards.

As for the current relationship between Echo and Evelyn, it is neutral-ish. Echo always teases her when he is bored and she hits him after that. Evelyn seems not to be angry at him about the drunk sex thing. Both of them were drunk and so both of them were at fault. Also she is now trying to learn about his past and help him. She hasn't learned shit. She herself doesn't know why she does it.

Currently Echo was out at the training grounds and throwing his cards at the wooded target about fifty meters away. Usually it would be pretty even to throw a card that far, but it seems that all Heroes are a lot stronger then regular humans and can get much stronger faster. And because of that he can throw these cards at the target fast enough for them to hit the target and stick into the wood.

"Echo. Can I ask you something?"asks Evelyn who is near him. She currently doesn't have her magic lessons and so decided to spend her time here.

"Ask."he says and keeps throwing.

"Why do you use cards. You have [Sword Mastery] and [Knife Mastery] both on pretty high level. So why don't you use those instead of cards."she asks him and he replies"Because I refuse to wield a bladed weapon which purpose is to kill."

"Why's that. Why do you refuse?"she asks him.

"You ask a lot of questions."he continues"And because of that I won't answer."he says.

"You seriously-."she stops before running away.

"The fuck was that?"he says and throws the final card. He looks at the target and sees how perfectly he has thrown each card so they don't each other and all 54 cards are beautifully stuck in the target.

Echo summons his cards back and sees that it is about time for his magic lesson. So he dematerializes the cards and leaves the training grounds for his lesson.

"What's his relationship with Evelyn?"Asks Mari from Chris as they are practicing with the sword away from Echo, who is currently throwing cards, while talking to Evelyn.

"Don't know. They seem close."replies Chris.

"Maybe they are dating."she continues"But there is no way. That guy doesn't care about anyone."

"How do you know so well?"asks Chris and she just sighs.

"We used to date a few years back for a month. The entire time we were dating he didn't show any interest to the relationship. So I dumped him after he cheated on me."she says.

"Wow. Such an asshole. So who was the girl he cheated on with you?"he asks him and she answers"Some bitch named Fiona."

Later that night, the Royal Mage Ana and the Head of the Royal Guards Walther are standing in front of the king, who doesn't have his family on his side currently.

"Tell me about our heroes progress. Walther. You start."The king says and looks at Walther who starts to talk.

"Yes your Majesty. The progress is going well. We have finished the basic training and now those who wished Are learning to use a sword, bow or both. Four even chose spears. The Heros progress is going very well, which is expected from the Hero. As for the Blade Dancer they are getting special training from Yrsa. But there is one person who is standing out."

"Is it Echo?"the king asks and he answers"Yes your Majesty. His martial arts skill are better than mine and he probably could take down the hero in one-on-one fight without weapons. But the weapon he chose to use is, is what makes him stand out. He chose cards even though he had both [Sword Mastery] and [Knife Mastery] skills on pretty high level. It isn't that he doesn't want to learn to use a sword, he just refuses to even touch it. Like he has some kinda of trauma related to that."

He finishes talking and the king proceeds to ask"Talk, Ana."

"I'll start of by saying that I don't know the reason for his refusal to pick up his weapon, but I think I know a little about his cards. It seems that he can learn and use any magic without a problem. He is the best student I have."

"Ana. Don't go off topic."the king says. He knows that Ana could easily go off topic and this usually includes boasting about something.

"Sorry. Anyways. It seems that he needs his cards to use magic spells. Because everytime I ask him to show me, he hides his right hand with clever ways. When he does that I can feel two completely different mana movements one after an another. It was easy to figure it out after I knew about his magical card deck."

"That is interesting information. Investigate his magic more deeply. But for now tell me about the others progress."the king says.

"Yes. The progress is going so-so. They grasp onto the information very differently. The best one beside the card boy is the priestess Evelyn. She has already learned the entire light magic element and now is learning water. She seems to be a student who completely learns one element and then moves onto another once the previous is learned. There is also the Controller class hero who is a little worrying"

"How?"the king asks.

"Well he is a quiet boy with a fragile looking body. He also seems to be bullied. And If such a kid gets these kinda of powers, he is gonna abuse him. So I recommend some kinda plan to take him down If it is needed. Unlike the others who won't easily abuse their powers, he probably will. For now I won't teach him to full extend of his powers. Just enough to fight and not enough to be a threat."

"I understand. I will have someone spy on him and I am glad that you thought about it. A person who could control human would be too dangerous. And especially If he was bullied by his class."the king says.
