"Leki, flank from the back, Cartus, ready up your most powerful spell!"

The leader of the group, who had just trespassed into the dark, damp room barks orders at his subordinates while they attempt to move behind the solitary figure standing in the center.

'Why do they have to act like all the others?'

The group of trespassers begin to sweat in anticipation as they wait for their target to make the first move, however, against expectation he continues to stand there and observe.

'I have no idea what language they are speaking, but it doesn't really matter. They never attempt to communicate, preferring to shout at each other while trying to kill me. Why? I don't know, and frankly, I don't care.'

A small aura of despair begins to form around the man as both sides continue to wait for the other to make the first move.

'What I do care about is that they interrupted my peaceful music time.'

The aura began to warp into one of anger.

'All I have left from my past world is "music" and the names of the "songs". My memories are blank, and I do not remember how I got here or even how this divine noise called "music" is created but what I do know is, I love it. My gauntlets play this "music" through devices which I believe are called "speakers".'

The group of trespasser finally had enough of waiting and decided that they would make the first move. They began to move cautiously, knowing that their target was very dangerous.

'I don't honestly understand how I know that word, just like how I know the name "music" I mentioned earlier, but for some reason, I just know that it is what they are called.'

'Trapped in this room with my "music", only infrequently interrupted by the small groups that try to kill me, I have lost count of how many years I have been here. Like much of my past, I can't even remember my name, so I just call myself Vert, mainly because he is the creator of my favourite song.'

A light pierces the darkness of the surrounding area as the sound of an incantation fills the room.

'I also have my treasures. Items that I have gathered from all the people that were foolish enough to fight me. Maybe I should separate the shiny things from the non-shiny things.'

The one that calls himself Vert seems to look kind of relaxed compared to the atmosphere of everyone else in the room. You could even say he was ignoring the people, and that would have been partly right.

'Wait, wasn't I doing something important?'

"Do it now Cartus!"

'Oh yeah, that's right, I completely forgot about these annoying pests.'

The faint white light surrounding the man, assumed to be Cartus, starts to glow more vibrantly and the attack almost blinds his comrades.

'Predictable.'

Vert effortlessly brushes off the attack of blinding light that was hurled at him as he casually taps his gauntlet which in response, it begins to play one of his favorite songs.

The song is "JB" by Intervene, and it has a vibe that makes happiness seep into him when loneliness begins to settle in. He loves to attack to the beat of the songs and uses it to keep his fighting spirit up.

The music shocks his attackers, causing them to hesitate as he bides his time. Sixteen seconds of time to be precise, which is the exact moment the bass drops and Vert attacks.

There are seven people around him, but picking his first target is easy, he was foolish enough to cast the first spell after all. The moment the bass drops, he uses his incredible speed to appear in front of the spell caster, releasing a punch towards his chest.

It is a direct hit and sends the man flying backwards. As the next beat is played, another punch with intense force slams into the man. This attack came unexpectedly to the man, so he was completely caught off guard.

He continues punching and appearing as the beat goes on, sending the man named Cartus flying all over the place like a rag doll.

Blood is forced out the man's mouth and is landing on Vert occasionally, but he doesn't care. His relentless attack doesn't stop until Vert thinks the man is dead which is convenient, at the same time as 47-second mark hits in the song's timeline.

Without a shred of mercy, Vert's fist penetrates the man's chest before his fingers wrap around and crush his heart. A satisfying splat echoes throughout the cave, sending a chill down his comrades' spine.

Pausing as he waits for the next, small bass drop, Vert eagerly eyes his next victim.

Even though he could have easily ended the fight in less than a second, quickly putting an end to the intruder's lives was not how Vert operated. He would endlessly attack until his song was over or until they went limp. This is how he liked to kill people, especially those that interrupted his music time while trying to kill him.

It wasn’t unusual for more than a few bodies to hit the floor at each beat of Vert’s music, but that is what made it fun.

This tactic seemed unconventional at first glance, but if you actually looked into it, the tactic was a genius way of fighting. The songs could range from slow and powerful to extremely fast and softly, which made Vert’s fighting style constantly change depending on the song he was using.

It also had another perk. The more intensely the song played, the stronger Vert became as he matched the speed and ferocity of the song.

Finally emerging from her stupor, a woman screams, filled with anger.

"Cartus NOOO!"

She would be Vert’s next target.

The beat that had stopped for a brief moment begins again, and he easily dodges the woman's attack before punching her in the gut, generating a sickening crack as blood started to flow from her eyes and ears.

'What an ugly sight, I could feel her rage, so I had to calm her down so maybe we can talk about it. Did I punch her too hard? Oh well.'

Vert was talking to himself as the man that seemed to be the leader swung his sword towards his head. Vert instantly vanished and began the process again. Fight with the beat, appear in his opponent's blind side, use speed as an advantage to destroy the enemy.

Vert tried to kill the leader before the song ended, but he was a lot stronger than his appearance would show. This completely surprised Vert as his punches didn’t seem to affect him in the slightest.

After about a minute and a half of teleporting around and hitting the powerful man, the only progress Vert had made was slightly denting the man's armor. He wasn't even trying since this wasn't a fighting song and more like a dance song, but he always wanted only to use one song to kill his targets.

Vert didn’t like it when his enemies lasted more than a song.

'Maybe I have underestimated him. Oh, the song seems to have ended. I only killed two, that's upsetting. It looks like I will have to kill the rest without music.'

As the song ended Vert completely disappeared from the group's sight.

The remaining five adventurers, fear etched onto their faces, were searching for him, but no matter where they looked, they couldn't see him.

It wasn't long before the leader's head slipped off his body and blood started spraying out of his neck. The others just looked in complete shock.

"This was the man who had defeated all the other six gods, but how did he get beat so easily without even putting a scratch on this one?"

One of them mumbled this question, and they all began to laugh nervously, knowing that their fate was sealed.

The previous fighting spirit they had shown was gone, the light from their eyes vanished.

"When would they die? Where was the "God of Death" now? Would he spare them?", these were thoughts going through their heads, but soon their heads were gone.

Their heads had been separated from their bodies without them even seeing their killer. After the last body had hit the floor, Vert reappeared back onto his usual rock and began to listen to another song. "Bad and Boujee" by Migos.

Forgetting all about the people who had, just moments ago, tried to kill him, he starts to nod his head to the beat and sings along with it.

"Raindrop. Drop tops. Smoking on cookie in the hotbox."

As Vert was singing to this song, he began to think to himself.

'I wonder what is on the other side of that door? I've never tried to look. Maybe I should? Maybe after I run out of songs, I will. Wait, what is outer space and how does it relate to Kid Cudi?'
