《Empire's Heir》-Reiha-

This would be the first and hopefully only time she’s ever trusted two strangers. First that strange man, who she’s just now is starting to think is another god, and now Him… Reiha noticed something strange about both of them too: she couldn’t help but trust them. She was willing to completely trust them with her life - which was more than what Reiha was willing to say about most people she’s ever met.

She groggily sat up in her bed. Reiha just had some of the best sleep in years. The best sleep she’d had in what felt like forever. She stood up, placing one foot after another. The moment she got on her legs, her stomach instantly started rumbling.

“Food,” was her first thought.

She quickly got dressed, opened her door, and walked downstairs. She still wasn’t used to this place. Everything felt ancient, for lack of a better word; yet, everything seemed clean. Spotless, even. No dust on the ground or walls, no spiderwebs hanging on the top corners, Reiha could’ve even sworn not a single bit of dirt was tracked in when they all arrived at the fortress. Some type of magic seemed to run through the walls, and it wasn’t just the runes either. It was something else. A type of magic that Reiha could tell was just as old as the walls themselves.

She rounded down the stairs. The smell of actual good food flooded her senses. After what seemed like an eternity, she finally found herself at the dining hall. Piles upon piles of breakfast foods were stacked on a table that looked similar to the one in the main hall.

As Reiha stood, unable to believe her eyes, Nalia and Talion slowly approached from behind. Just like her, they both stared at the food in complete shock. Both had the same expression on their faces; shock, confusion, and hunger.

"Oh my gods," Talion breathed.

Nalia didn’t say anything, but simply stood there staring at the food in front of her. Reiha took a deep breath before heading towards the table. She grabbed a plate and began filling it up, putting whatever was on it into her mouth. They all scrambled to find a seat to sit at.

Reiha grabbed a mug to drink out of, only to realize that it was empty. Or, at least for a few seconds. As if the inanimate object knew what she wanted, the mug filled up with water. Aigor and Dyra were the next ones to come in. Whatever conversation they were having ended on the spot. The two took places at their table across from each other, looking just as astonished as everyone else.
