The two walked to the Baron's study, and met two sentries standing guard beside the door.

"Young Lords, the Master is waiting for you both."

"Don't call me young lord, for I am not noble, and my station is merely that of a commoner."

"Ah, there you are, quick, do not dally, the Lord has important matters to discuss."

An old man that looks like Gandalf came out from the door and told the two to hurry. The 2 adolescents entered the study of the Baron. It has a big table and a middle aged man can be seen sitting on a seat near one of the windows overlooking the main entrance of the manor.

The two boys we're silent and did not make a sound as the middle aged man is deep in his thoughts. The man looks like Taras Bulba, or rather Yul Brynner. After a few seconds of silence, he sighed and turned to the two boys.

"Cain, I hope you understand my decision."

"Do not worry Lord, I have no other thoughts. In fact, I have always wanted to pave my own path and this decision is not merely made without thorough consideration. Please call me Genji, Lord, for I have already decided to forget the past and start anew."

"Cain, I know what you're thinking, and I'm not happy with what you're planning to do."

"Lord, I shall have no regrets after this. This thing you don't have to take responsibility for, I shall avenge mother myself."

"Baron Gustov is Duke Alexis' son. I'm afraid you will be hunted down even if you somehow managed to succeed."

"I have my plans, Lord."

"Does that plan include travelling to the Underworld with no hope of returning?

"Then go, take those brigands as an excuse. Cain had an accident during the attack, and didn't survive. I trust you know what to do next, Edward."

"Genji, once you've finished, go to Seahenge, and show this badge to a man named Ramun the Trader, an acquaintance of mine. I'll write to him first so he'll help you find a knight to serve. But don't trust him, just use him to find a way to survive until Duke Alexis' anger has passed."

"I have another plan Lord, why don't I lead a group of bandits near Duke Alexis' territory and provoke disputes between him and Ironhand Inar while integrating all the other bandit groups in the region. Once Inar leads his Iron Army to fight him, I would be a good card both sides would want to use, and I can use that position to deal with both, making sure that both sides would hurt each other severely, then you my lord, would arrive once Duke Alexis' army has been annihilated, to repel the Iron Army. The king would surely treat you as the hero of the kingdom and you would be the best candidate to plug the gap that has been opened due to the total defeat of Alexis."

"That can be arranged, but we will need many allies and a powerful noble behind us."

"That my lord, is easy. Look at this lord, this region north of the city of Tonshingwa is barren and has no special products. That's what everybody thought, but in fact, I have discovered something lord, this place is rich. They have lots of predators and animals that can be hunted to provide fur and in the nearby ocean, they have something else that cannot be found in the rest of the kingdom, Whales. Now my lord, what are the importance of those stuff? First off, is that the nobles in that place are not using their natural blessings but insist on providing food through farming and agriculture and they don't even know good beans from bad. That is like forcing a pig to produce milk or slaughtering an egg laying chicken for meat. They are not using their natural advantages. Now the thing that lord should do would be to first make them taste the sweetness of selling their products. Lord should first procure from them a batch of furs, which lord would gift to his Majesty's and other great nobles of the kingdom to make them luxury products. Then, lord must transport the products and sell them to other nobles. Once the demand for their products increase, other nobles would want a share of the pie, and this is where we come in with our first scheme. Lord must invest his money and profits on buying the arable food production lands around us. We will then use these lands as a bargaining chip with those from the North. Since we can cut them off from the rest of the kingdom, they would have to procure low cost food from us while they provide us with their products which we will be selling to other nobles near the capital. Now, in order to protect the interests of the great nobles, lord must make a deal with one of them, and I think Grand Duke Agathon would be the most suitable representative. Lord must know that Grand Duke Agathon controls a big portion of the South of the Kingdom and they have a few things that can greatly help the business thrive. First is, Grand Duke Agathon is upright and honorable and won't cheat us, Second, he is very powerful and influential, third, he isn't as greedy as Alexis and fourth, he is a man who values his friends really well so we can be sure that he will protect lord, and that I think is the most important thing. So we need to bind our interests with his lordship Duke Agathon to make his excellency even more adamant in supporting our agenda."
