Why didn't I get a skill from learning how to use the weapons properly? Have I not finished the quest yet?
While he was thinking he didn't notice that Knell had left and came back once again. In his hand was a large blue crystal with purple and black runes flowing around it like moons around a planet.
"Now that you have learned the ins and outs of your weapons, you will learn how to fight using them!" - Knell
"What do you mean learn to fight using them? I know how to swing a blade and I also know how to shoot... Surely you don't plan on making me waste my time?" - Jason
"You've learned how to use your weapons properly. Very well then, show me how you will use those three weapons at the same time. Also, show me some skills you have for fighting with those weapons." - Knell
For a few seconds Jason just stood there, staring at Knell's face, dumbstruck. It was mentally impossible to him for him to forget something as simple as that. He knew the weapons, but he had no fighting style to use with them.
"Since you are going for both ranged and melee attacks, I will need to show you how to switch weapons and combat styles mid-fight. If you will follow me to the dummies." - Knell

Following close behind, Jason couldn't stop but think about how he actually planned to fight with those weapons. I may have just made everything much, MUCH harder for me than I expected.
"Okay now, I want you to show me some techniques. I will tell you what to do, but you much do the techniques on your own. Firstly, shoot with both pistols and then quickly switch to your sword and do a diagonal slash from the dummies shoulder to its hip." - Knell
Well, that's not too hard.
Taking his pistols out, he quickly pulled both triggers.
As the bullets sped forward, he quickly put the guns back in their holster before taking the sword out. Imbuing it with mana, he charged forward before slashing against the dummy.
At least, that's what he planned to do. A few meters away from the dummy, as he attempted to lift the sword up, he lost balance and ended up face-planting.
"You can't even run properly and you attempt to use 3 weapons?! Boy will this be fun!" - Knell
Knell was on the ground laughing while Jason could feel the stares of many other people on his back. Picking himself back up, he sadly went back to where he started.
"Hoooo, now that I'm done laughing let me tell you about the first problem. You took too long to switch from pistol to sword. When you switch, you want to be able to be in position to attack with your sword and already be in range before you even take it out." - Knell
How can I get there faster? Maybe if I run towards the target while shooting and switch when I get close? I'll try that and see how it goes.
Taking his pistols back out, he quickly ran forward. A quarter of the way to the target, he quickly pressed the trigger. Without waiting for the bullets to hit, he put the pistols away before taking the sword out again.

Gripping it with both hands, he slashed downwards once he was within range.
This time, he hit, but still managed to mess up. When he was switching the weapons, accidentally he rotated the sword in his hands, so instead of attacking with the sharp part of the blade, he hit it with the flat side, barely causing a dent in the dummy.
"Well you were much better this time, you just need more practice. Try again." - Knell
Sighing, Jason walked towards the start getting ready to start again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7 Hours later...
"Well, you finally did it. Congrats!" - Knell
After a few hours of repeated failing, Jason had finally gotten the technique down. The thing that took the longest was learning how to switch weapons quickly.
In the end, he would shoot, flip the guns cowboy style into the holster, grab the sword with his left hand and quickly taking it out of the sheath and tossing it into his right hand.
This way, it only took him a second to switch from one to the other. It was still a bit long, but good enough for now.
Back to the exact technique then. He would shoot while running. As his hand lowered to his hips to put the guns away, he would rotate his body to the left a full 360 degrees, so that once he pulled out his sword, he could use the momentum fro the run along with the moment from the twist to cut into the dummy. With enough practice, he soon got the footing down.
Congratulations! You have created your own technique for Fighting Style: Sun-Dancer! Technique has been named: Whirlwind Strike. To fully unlock the Fighting Style: Sun-Dancer, you must create or learn 9 more techniques for it.
Congratulations! You are the first person in Ley World to discover the Fighting Style: Sun Dancer. As a result of this, you are now considered the Grand-Sage of this fighting style. You can keep the knowledge to yourself or bestow it to a disciple.
Wait what?
