Soaring Dragon Continent, Bottom of Mt. Zu
Having been blown back over seven meters by the demon bear, Qiu Zhen crashed through several trees. Boom! He finally stopped once he crashed into a boulder, and he coughed up several mouth full of blood.
His body was motionless, he couldn’t even feel one bone in his body. The strength of a demon bear truly is terrifying, because at this moment Qiu Zhen was on the verge of dying. His mind was fuzzy, bones broken, blood was leaking all over, and his eyes were slowly closing.
“I..I cannot..Die! Can’t...die!” Qiu Zhen kept repeating to himself time and time again, he wasn’t going to lose his will to survive and get his revenge. He has already died once, if he died again who knows what will happen.
Soon one eye closed followed by the next, this was it, Qiu Zhen truly was done for. Qiu Zhen appeared in a sky that was filled with countless stars. “Where am I?” Searching for any lifeform that could inform him, his search led him nowhere. “T-this can’t be the afterlife! I can’t die! Not yet, I have yet to kill Chang Chi!”
“Hohoho, so you’re the owner of the pendant. I always wondered what lucky soul would pick it up.” A voice that sounded distant yet close was heard in Qiu Zhen’s mind, he turned around several times but was unable to locate the owner.
“Don’t worry, I’m right here.” A bright light shined and once it dimmed down, what appeared was a green dragon. It’s body scaled over 1000 meters long, and it’s height was over 100 meters. The wing’s on its back spanned over 300 meters, and it’s scales had a shine to it. The eyes were azure blue, but if you looked deeper it would feel as if it was sucking you in.
Qiu Zhen shot a glance at the dragon and looked it straight in the eyes. He had questions, and he wanted answers. ‘What is the pendant, what other things can it do, why was he the one who found it.’ These question appeared in his mind, but he needed to know who this person was before all else. “You, who are you!”

“Me? I could ask you the same thing, who are you? What rights do you have to keep the Five Sky Turning Dragon Pendant?”
“Five Sky Turning Dragon Pendant? So that’s what it was called!”
The green dragon nodded it's head, then it closed its eyes. Swosh! The green dragon sent out its spiritual energy and it passed through Qiu Zhen’s body. He felt as if the energy wasn’t harmful, it was only searching for something.
“I see, the other four haven’t woken up yet.”
Qiu Zhen was trying to figure out what he meant before he realized that on his chest one of the dragons were gone. Connecting the dots he knew that the green dragon before him was one of the dragons that was on his chest.
“Since you are the owner of the pendant, i’ll tell you who I am. Around a few hundred millennium ago, I was once known as the Dragon of life. The power I hold hails in comparison to the other four dragons contained within the pendant, I can only grant healing properties. Considering the damage to your body it would seem I’ve awoken just in time, or else we would have never gotten reborn in this world.”
Qiu Zhen was stunned, this meant that the dragon was over 100,000 years old! The kind of knowledge that a being like that would hold is enormous, not to mention the type of power. This dragon was a part of the pendant meaning the other four dragons should wake up sometime soon also. If their power was anything like this dragon, then Qiu Zhen would be able to control the five of them. However, one thing caught his attention, the word ‘reborn’ wouldn’t this mean that they were dead?
“Senior, you said that you five were going to be reborn in this world correct?”
“Indeed, I said that. Us five dragons roamed the lands and each controlled a section of it, however dragons have endless life spans thus we cannot die. The only way for us to stay alive is if we go through rebirth, meaning we would start over from an egg and then turn back into adults. For countless years has it been that way, until ‘he’ came along.”

“He sealed us in a pendant trying to harness our power, but shortly after he died by a beast whose cultivation was way beyond his. That foolish Immortal thought that he was at the principle of strength, what he didn’t understand was that was just the beginning. With our bodies being sealed in the pendant all we could do was stay there, waiting for someone to find it.”
“Around 50000 years someone found it, but he didn’t understand its powers and sold it around as a mere accessory. Finally landing in the hands of a mortal woman who worshiped a god of evil. The citizens burned down the temple along with anyone in it or who worshiped the god, leaving her to a fate of death. The pendant was then forgotten about, and we were still in eternal sleep waiting to be reborn.”
“Twelve years ago when you broke the pendant trying to destroy it, you only managed to shaken us in our sleep. This however was enough for to come to an understanding, that you were the one who were to help us be reborn. The five dragons inside each have some kind of specialty, you’ve already learned three abilities of them. However, two still yet remain, but it’s better to find out as time progresses.”
Qiu Zhen bowed his head, his eyes were filled with admiration for these five dragons. “Senior, I understand.”
“Good, my brothers will wake up soon and then you’ll understand much more. I’ve repaired your injuries, and be sure to take good care of my dragon soul.”
After saying all that needed to be said, the green dragon disappeared and Qiu Zhen’s eyes awoken. When he awoke, he found out all his injuries have been healed, and his strength shot up one more realm. “A being that is truly worthy of being called the Dragon of life, It healed me fully!”
The time it took for Qiu Zhen to converse with the Dragon of life was merely a few seconds in the outside world, and the three demon bears were charging at Qiu Zhen. His chest expanded and he let out a deep breath, turning his eyes cold as a steel blade. “Come!”
Not wasting the slightest bit of movement, Qiu Zhen moved in an elegant manner and approached a demon bear. Pushing the qi in his fingertips he could tell that since he reached the second level of the Dao realm his qi really did expand by 100%.
His hands movements were quick as lightning stabbing into the bear, but this time it pierced the hide. Sadly it only went a little over two inches in, it wasn’t enough to kill it, but it was enough to show he made progress.
Being stabbed in the side, the demon bear swiped its paws at Qiu Zhen in full swing, only to catch his afterimage. Swish! Qiu Zhen disappeared and once more stabbed the bear, he wasn’t giving up. Out the corner of his eye Qiu Zhen noticed that the other bear was getting ready to attack, but Qiu Zhen was full of confidence.
“Not this time!” His figure blurred leaving the bear swiping air, you can tell that it was enraged.
Moving three meters away from the demon bear Qiu Zhen couldn’t continue to fight like this or else he would expend all his qi and he would really be on the losing end. Searching his surroundings Qiu Zhen was making out for any object he could use. “Weapon, I need a weapon!”
His eyes landed on a piece of rock that was in the shape of a blade. It was only one meter long, but this is exactly what he needed.
The there demon bears must have sensed that Qiu Zhen spotted the rock and moved to guard against it. But how could their speed compare to Qiu Zhen’s, he easily blew past them. Picking up the rock Qiu Zhen infused it with his qi essence making it a valuable weapon, and his killing intent skyrocketed.
“Come! Let the real battle begin!”

VOID EMPIRE: IMPERIAL MAGE
Eric Grayson was just a welder by day and fantasy junky by night. His free days were spent camping in the woods and reading. When he falls through a crack in the foundation of reality his life is going to get a lot more interesting. Making his way through the sea of chaos, he finds himself, with a little help from a Goddess, in a new universe, on a new planet. The exalted mage lords of the Empire have ruled for over two thousand years. Keeping the Empire safe from the tribes of beast kin and the void monsters that break into reality. A world on the edge of the great universal tree, a bastion against the ever-encroaching void. The realm of the dead and souls is far. The touch of the Gods and Goddesses is faint and growing weaker. This is a Litrpg / Gamelit where I am seeking to explore the idea where an Empire like Rome made it to the Edwardian/Victorian period. With all the decadence and kinky/bdsm stuff, Rome was known for, intact and evolved. Think pride and prejudice but the complete opposite of prudish. This story contains explicit scenes. This is not a collect slave women to bang story. This is not an endless struggle grind. The character is OP. The character is figuring out how to adapt his power to the world. Last, I will point out, glass is five hundred time sharper than steel and can be sharpened down to just a single atom in thickness. Please leave a review and rating as it helps me improve my writing. Feedback is always appreciated; I hope you enjoy. I am working on my grammar as well and hopefully it will improve, through editing. As It has never been a strong suit of mine. chapters Sat 7 pm... until the series is complete.

An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
