The Tournament of Death #8
Match Eight:
James The Assassin Versus The Invincible Man Gildarts
Begin! *Bang!*
James wearing two daggers on his sides and a katana on his back, multiple other hidden weapons inside his light armor, Gildarts looks at him, 'Show me what you got', Gildarts not moving at all just staring James down.
James incredibly fast in a blink of an eye appears behind Gildarts attempting to stab him with both daggers at the same time, as they were easily bounced off, 'Nice try kid, they do not call me invincible as a joke, 'try again', as Gildarts turns toward James just smiling.
James not taking any second blinking behind him again, this time holding his katana and slashing into the back of Gildarts, this time Gildarts was forced to retreat a bit as he notices his back was bleeding, not deep but softly bleeding.
Gildarts a bit surprised, 'I underestimated you, guess I will have to use some force to defeat you after a-'.
Before Gildarts could finish his sentence James already was behind him again, trying to slash his back even further open, Gildarts this time noticing him, steps face first facing toward him grabbing the katana with his bare hand, 'How about you let your elder finish before you attack again', as the katana cuts a tiny bit into his hand.
Gildarts laughs again, 'This katana might be the only thing that can hurt me in this entire arena! but not for long', as he tightens his grip on the blade his holding shattering it in pieces falling onto the ground, as he moves his other hand toward James his chest pushing him back with impressive force, making him fall.
James quickly stands up after the hardest push he ever felt, he had one chance left, 'It is time for you to die', he yells as he even faster than before blinks, Gildarts Expected him to be behind him, but James blinked right in front of him, Stabbing him right in the chest with the dagger he was hiding inside his armor, 'This is a special dagger created to penetrate anything'.
Gildarts coughs some blood from his mouth, 'heh' It has been a while since someone made me bleed like this, I guess I should return the favor'.
Before Gildarts could move James already moved away from him, 'Good choice, but not fast enough', before Gildarts even finished his sentence he was already behind James.
Gildarts smiles at him, as James attempts to instantly make Gildarts regret it by stabbing him with the special dagger once again, Gildarts was gone before he was even able to swing it toward him, Gildarts once again behind him, 'Mhm, twice the same trick, that will not work'.

James starts to smile, 'Oh? just you wait till the effect of the dagger starts to work'.
Gildarts suddenly feels some kind of weakening almost making him fall to his knees, Gildarts looks up, 'Poison... I should have expected that from an assassin'.
Gildarts not able to move sees James instantly blink toward him, as James comes in front of him attempting to stab him once again with the special dagger, Gildarts simply stands up, 'You think this weak poison can do anything to me?!', as he punches James straight across the face not using all his might, but still making James fly a decent space away from him.
James not expecting the punch gets almost launched into the air landing on his back, losing his dagger in the progress, attempting to stand up, Gildarts already in front of him holding his dagger, 'You are weak, I do not understand why-'.
Before Gildarts was able to finish his sentence he feels a sharp pain in his chest, 'The poison is taking effect', James smiles toward him while standing up, this time Gildarts is not able to move at all, 'No... This is not possible, I can not be defeated by some simple poison'.
James comes closer toward Gildarts, 'It is not a simple Poison', as he Attempts to stab Gildarts again with the dagger right in the chest, 'It is a curse, three stabs and you are dead, this is number Three!'.
Gildarts whispers 'Release', James still in the movement of stabbing, The dagger would bounce off.
James in shock, 'What the...?!', as he sees his dagger bounce off, while Gildarts was able to move grabs, James, by the neck, 'You think a simple curse can kill me that easily do not make me laugh, they do not call me invincible for nothing!'.
James struggles to get out of the grip, as Gildarts would throw James into the air, coming down he attempts to punch James to finish him off using more power with this punch than he did the whole match, as the ground starts to shake around him lights going all around him, as he smiles, 'I know this is not you', as James comes down he smashes him into the ground, as the James on the ground disappears.
A sudden sound of clapping comes from the top of the arena, 'Well done giant, you defeated my clone of about 20% of my power, now... let us see who is strongest of us two', as he jumps down landing swiftly on the ground, this James clearly on a different level then the clone was.

Both without hesitation blink toward each other with a force of a mountain, James holding his this time real katana blocking the blow of Gildarts with ease, as he notices he was being pushed back by the blow of Gildarts, he quickly jumps back, before landing he quickly blinks behind Gildarts, 'You are finish-' before he could finish his sentence, Gildarts already turned around Grabbing toward his blade.
James Even faster sidesteps the attempt slashing Gildarts in the arm with the katana, dealing almost no damage, as he notices the special dagger nearby them, he jumps back, Gildarts instantly noticing the dagger and his attempt to get toward it, as Gildarts launches himself toward James, as he whispers 'Release complete, Power 99...100%'.
Gildarts reaches James before being able to grab the dagger punching him across the face and making him fly, Gildarts instantly follows up with multiple punches and pummels him to the ground, James his face half blue and bloody, barely able to stand up again 'I wish I did not have to use this but you are worthy foe!'.
James stabs himself with the katana, as it goes slowly further inside, making James cough up blood heavily before he falls to the ground, as a dark aura starts to cover half of his body, and going around the arena, Gildarts takes a step back, holding his position to attack if needed.
James stands up, his Aura all darkness as he within a flash appears in front of Gildarts punching him away from his current position, Gildarts tried to face tank the blow, but not able to stand his ground he flies a decent space from James his punch, which James quickly follows up, as his shadow side creates a dark blade. quickly coming closer toward him, as Gildarts yells once again 'Release'.
James clashes into Gildarts sword of light, and just in time appeared out of Gildarts light aura, both weapons Equally in strength, James trying his best to end it as fast as he can, swinging blow after blow, increasing his pace going faster, and trying multiple sides, as the shadow on the half of James his body starts to glow more.
James felt there was something wrong, The Shadow side of James started to hurt more and more, it was trying to consume him!
James did not give up trying to go even faster and striking with more powerful blows, as Gildarts noticed James was getting weaker and weaker, he would just block every hit, as the shadow is taking over his whole body.
The Shadow takes over the whole body of James as he tries to not get consumed, but it was too late for him.
The Shadow now forming into some kind of creature, which made the whole arena shake with its roar, instantly would attack Gildarts with its claws, not caring about the sword at all, as Gildarts felt the dark aura increasing all around him, making him barely able to breathe in the now covered arena of darkness.
The light of Gildarts seemed to get weaker in this dark arena while the creature was growing in strength.
Gildarts blocks the creature his claws with his light sword, as the creature seems to increase in speed as well, Gildarts is barely able to keep up, as he calls to his aura to give him more strength, but nothing would happen.
The Creature would break through Gildarts defense smashing and cutting him over and over with his claws, not giving Gildarts any breaks between attacks, Gildarts bleeding all over as the creature continues to pummel him around the whole arena, the cuts getting deeper and deeper, as Gildarts once again asks his light aura, 'Give me strength this last time to defeat this creature of darkness!'.
As all of a sudden light appears above the darkness of the arena, Gildarts feels his wounds being healed, but not quick enough as the creature continues to beat him all around the arena, as the light aura becomes stronger and stronger around them, as the darkness on the whole arena disappears the creature noticing it as well trying to finish off Gildarts.
Gildarts easily blocks the blows of the creature, as his wound slowly seems to recover, he slashes his light sword into the creature, Gildarts is surprised as well as his blow was even more effective since it was a shadow creature, The creature trying to recover getting more darkness around the arena, but the light aura too strong makes it instantly disappear, as Gildarts comes closer to the creature, 'You do not belong here creature of darkness, I will banish you', as he slashes the creature in half, as the darkness disapears the body of James reapears on the ground dead.

Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
