"I think my mind's all good, so what exactly was it that you wished to talk about, Mister Jinbe?" While walking down the hall I stood aside the... well he was exceptionaly wide, there's that going for him. Anyway, I suppose meeting Jinbe was inevitable, I did speak to the entirety of fish-man island without any restraint.

"You seem very polite, I do not know why, but I didn't expect that from you." He chuckled, I believe I've gotten a bit too used to hearing those words. "There was a slight concern that I had, after all you're just a child who has recently joined the marines. You appeared to have quite the perspective on how the celestial dragons treated people, it brings to question how exactly you obtained that perspective."

Oh, I see now, because I widely expressed how much distaste I had in the Celestial Dragons and also described the experience of slavery... I drew his attention.

"You bring up a fair question, I cannot exactly argue with it." Then again if I just said I watched One Piece a lot, he isn't going to really buy it, is he? "Well, you see... when I was younger I would follow my grandfather on expeditions to places. On one of them we were helping a Celestial Dragon's ship and... I began aware of the concept of slavery. I witnessed how the Celestial Dragons treated them and it absolutely sickened me!"

Let's hope he buys it, I think it sounds convincing enough anyways...

"You seem to be quite a strong girl, you're not afraid to say what you think, are you?" Jinbe exclaimed.

"Maybe, Aokiji-" I was opting for Aokiji to get into the conversation, but apparently... he wasn't even with us. "Lazy git-I mean... I suppose so. I did just step on a Celestial Dragon and express my hatred of slavery."

He narrowed his eyes towards me and thus grew an awkward silence between the two of us. This hasn't happened once since I entered this world.

"But, you're afraid to act, are you not?" Jinbe calmly stated. "I can see it in your eyes, I'm sure everyone can. Within your head there are desires you have, things you strive for, yet you appear to be restraining yourself. You seem to be terrified of the future."

... Holy shit, this man is psychic. I don't personally think I'm afraid of changing anything, but still he just said I'm not going to change the original story at all! Which was most likely what I was planning to do.

"I don't think I'm afraid to act." I muttered out. "If I go against what is planned, then I won't have anything to go off. It's worse to go into an unknown future and to impact others who have nothing to do with it."

"Ahaha, this is something new." Jinbe laughed strongly, I feel mocked. "A girl as young as you fancies yourself a God?"

A God? When on Earth did I say that? I never once mentioned being a God!

"Hold on, don't try to manipulate my words! I never once said I was so arrogant, I'm not a God! Now you're just trying to make me look bad!" I exclaimed in an attempt to defend myself.

"If so, then why do you act like you have control over everything? That the future is known only to you? It seems that you're scared to be without any knowledge in a new future." Jinbe questioned. "You seek to reinvent justice in the world from what I've heard, but to me you seem to lack the ability to act."

Okay, this sea warrior is putting up a good argument, he's actually making me rethink a lot of what I'm doing. I came down to fish-man island... not because I wanted to change anything but because Aokiji was testing me again. I have not done anything because I wanted to change it, a lot of the things I've done is because of smaller goals. In fact, I introduced myself to Luffy, became his mentor, got the goro-goro no mi to escape from his body and then faked my death and reset everything I've done for him. I did all of that... for the sake of the story, even when I wanted to change things.

"Hey, Mister Warrior." I sighed, folding my arms. "You're a bit direct, but you're really doing me a favour by pointing that out. I am going to change things up a bit and ditch that future and try to start something a bit new."

"Oh, going to start enforcing your beliefs now?" Jinbe chuckled.

"The justice thing? Nope, I don't think I'm the type of person for that job, although I'm not really sure what type of person I am." I smirked at him and we both halted in walking. "I think my first goal is to figure that out and mix things up a bit."

"It's been an interesting conversation, Miss Maris." Jinbe chuckled, I nodded in response to him and turned back to the direction we had come from.

"Aokiji! There's something I need to ask you!" I shouted, running back in the direction.
