《Re:Asura》Chapter 2: Reincarnation

"Uuuuuu. Cyrus...." a beautiful blonde lady weeped beside me. I put my hands on her mascara stained face, looking into my girlfriend's eyes for as long as I could, before I drift into unconsciousness.
"I'm so sorry, Noelle..." I gasped, coughing out bits of blood that were stuck in my throat.
...
It was the wee hours of the night, and I had taken my girlfriend to the popular coffee house a couple blocks away as she was craving for some caffeine, I had originally planned to propose to her as this was the very same coffeehouse we first met at. I was just a university student at the time, when I lost to my friends at a game of dare. We had to take a 'couple selfie' with a hot girl.
It was then that I noticed the bombshell sitting at the opposite end of the coffeeshop. She was wearing a plain black hoodie, sitting cross legged at her seat as she typed relentlessly onto her laptop. "Umm.. H-h-hi, I'm Cyrus..." I stammered.
To be honest, I had never been good at communicating with girls, having been studying at an all boys school during middle school and highschool. Even after graduating, I had never really talked to girls unless neccessary. It's not that I'm gay or anything, it was just that I was too shy and timid.
"U wot mate?" she growled back. It was so sudden and unexpected that I just stood there speechless. It was the first time I had ever seen such a rude girl in my life, albeit a rather short one.
"Hey, I'm really sorry but.... can we take a selfie together?" I tried my luck.
"Nope, fuck off!"
I actually laughed out loud when I recalled that moment, resulting in a coughing fit. The blood puddle around me grew even larger.

At the coffeehouse, we had been making small talk, as my heart was pounding like a drum from a death metal song, as I tried to find the right moment to pop the question. All was going okay, when suddenly people were screaming from outside. Taking a quick look at the glass windows, I could see two muscular men ganging up on another skinny man.
My brains told me that I should have just left it alone and minded my own business, but my heart felt that I should help the poor guy. "Wait here" I told Noelle as I ran out to the street. Never did I expect that the two muscular men were actually undercover cops that were about to arrest a serial murderer who had a gun hidden in his jacket...
"Cyrus...*sniff*..a.re you... *sniff*...laughing?" she stared incredulously at me. My vision was already starting to fade, as I felt my life slipping away from me.
"Noelle...." I struggled to say her name for the final time. I had already known from the rate of blood loss that death was inevitable. Even if the ambulance manages to arrive in five minutes time, it would already be too late.
I reached into my pockets, taking out a black box. My hands were already shaking heavily at that point, taking every ounce of willpower to keep myself conscious.
"Take this.... Give it... to someone...that....you....lo-" And then everything went black.
Is this death? I felt as if I was drifting in an ocean, and it was rather quite comfortable. It felt like an eternity until a voice boomed out in my head, abruptly ending my sweet slumber.
"MYLERIAAAAAA!"
