Not a chapter. This was supposed to be the original synopsis, but got scrapped since I felt it was too long. Read if you want; it doesn't really affect anything and is more like an overview to the previous chapters if anything.

In the world known as Aerethin, where monsters and all manners of abominations roamed free, there existed an empire by the name of Imperia. This empire was renown throughout the land as being the greatest bastion of mankind that ever existed. It had riches and strength beyond comparison and guaranteed the peace and prosperity of humanity. At the apex of this mighty empire was a man known to all as Emperor Cyrus Alabast Imperia. Being the founder of the empire and a man of great power and charisma, he had everything man could ever desire. Fame, wealth, and unimaginable strength to dominate even the most vicious of creatures, he had it all. It was he who used his bottomless talent to unite humanity against the abominations of nature and it was he who still stood to safeguard the empire against any and all threats, becoming a hero and a bulwark that continues to protect mankind against any future threats.

But alas, nothing lasts forever, and even this man in all his glory could not withstand the test of time. As he laid on his deathbed, all his thoughts culminated into worry about the future of his beloved empire. Whether it will continue to prosper under his legacy or not was something he may never find out. And so, with such thoughts, the mighty ruler passed away.

His worries were proven true as his empire crumbled and segmented in the absence of his guidance, breaking apart completely. Internal strife and corruption ran rampant and the once prosperous empire of Imperia shattered and became no more.

As the millenniums passed even the name and legacy of this empire faded, becoming nothing more than a mere myth. It was at this time, hundreds of thousands of years after the fall, that an earth-rending quake erupted all across the world of Aerethin, bringing catastrophes wherever it hit. At the epicenter of this great calamity laid an ancient and forgotten tomb.
