《A Warlock's Luck》Update

Alright, lost my job, still have a place to live. Now for the important news, I am in the process of a complete re-write from scratch. I'm aiming for a more serious feel, hopefully it fucking works cause I didn't like the way the story was progressing.
So far I have just started chapter four, I will probably start posting the new chapters once I have a bit of a backlog. I am also ditching the character Annabelle, she just didn't fit well into my mental narative. I will keep the Margitte but will change her name, it was just a place holder name anyways.
As for his abilities as a warlock I wouldn't mind some advice, my writing dosen't have a usually clear cut Good vs Evil themes, I tend towards moral grey areas. Wizardry on the other is pretty straight forward, its an almost scientific approach to magic. Its all based on testable formulas, fire + wind + sphere = a fire ball. How ever actualy being able to formulate a spell and channel aether accordingly is an entirely different matter.
Then there's martial skills, I'm debating if its a cultivated spirtual energy (like chi) only its absorbed by slaying monsters or other people (like exp). Using special martial abilities would increase strain on the body and increased fatigue. However it takes much longer to develop these techniques and the energy to empower them, your average foot soldier or mercenary for example would never be capabale of anything more than a slight unconscious boost to strength, speed, and agility.
Where as if a mage cast too many spells and goes beyond his tolerance of Aether he's got a 50/50 chance of dying or suffering a mutation( these can be positive or negative, Ie increased tolerance for positive or a third arm growing out of your stomach). If a non mage gets exposed to raw Aether they have a 90% chance of death. It also mutates wild animals, things like school bus sized wolves with steel like fur for example.

Anyways, just letting you all know I am infact still working on A Warlocks Luck and now that I have a better Idea where the story is going I can get a roll on.
Also changing his Succubus' name, as much as I like the ancient Assyrian goddes Lilith I'll be changing it to Anax'shi or something.

8 233Edge Cases (Book 1 Complete!)
Rare classes and powerful skills are helpful. Too bad the system doesn't seem built to handle them. What even are all these errors? Our team of outcasts and adventurers will have to rely on their trust - and the bane of all stories, healthy communication - just to survive, let alone understand what the system is doing. Because they're quickly realizing that it's doing something; to people, to monsters, and maybe even to the gods themselves. And their goal isn't just to survive; it's to make things better. It's a good thing they're not doing it alone. --- Edge Cases is an attempt to take the LitRPG genre and the overpowered MCs trope and write a story where numbers aren't everything. Sometimes it takes trust, support, and just a touch of being very, very clever. Expect a mix of action, slice-of-life, friendship, and ominous worldbuilding. Updates M-W-F at 6pm EST. Cover art by Alovck of Artstation, and typesetting by jessessey right here on RoyalRoad.

8 398Murderously Disturbed
This collection chronicles the horrific contents of my brain in poetic form. This is not for the faint of heart. It contains terrifying moments of murder, suicide, mayhem, rituals, hauntings, and nightmares in various poetic forms from ballads to sonnets and many more. Most of these pieces are oneshot tales, but the "Haunted Blades" ballad sequence is marked with an asterisk (*) throughout the collection to denote an interconnected series of poems.
