Chapter 3: Field Trip Romance

“Max! Max! Tell us about the time when you were a hero!” (Geo)

During the break, Geo suddenly shouted at me in an excited manner, causing the other kids to also pay attention excitedly.

...I already regret my introduction...oh well, since it’s already come to this, let’s just go along with it.

Shrugging, I pulled out the [Imagine Holo] from my backpack, which is, by the way, extremely childish in every way...it’s really embarrassing for me to carry a bag with colorful designs and with drawings of some kind of cartoon…

Anyway, as I hold the [Imagine Holo], I thus began my story…

“Once upon a time, there was an awesome man named Max.” (Max)

Not like that was my previous name...anyway, a holographic image of the previous 17 year old me appeared in front of us.

This 17 year old previous me has black hair and eyes, dashing and cool face, and had a hero-esque aura about him...okay, maybe I altered myself a bit...actually I don’t even recognize this guy! Who’s that!? Who’s this awesome and good-looking guy!?

Moving on, the handsome guy wore a simple t-shirt and pants, which still makes him look very cool for some reason, suddenly appeared in a majestic hall.

“The Gods chose him and was summoned in a different world to be a hero. To change the fate of humanity!” (Max)

Afterwards, a middle aged bastard *cough* King showed up and talked...well, I lip-synched…

“Oh brave, handsome, and cool hero! We implore you to help us defeat the demon king and end his tyranny!” (Bastard King)

To satisfy myself, I made the damn king prostrate and beg in front of me *cough* I mean the handsome and awesome hero.

Afterwards, I showed them some snippets of my battles. Among them was my battle against the infamous Red Dragon!

Donning the shiny white armor, a sword filled with majestic power and amplifies one’s magic power, a fluttering red cape, I looked very imposing and grand as I stood before the Red Dragon.

Hurling hundreds of high rank magic, flying and dashing about the battlefield, no matter how the Red Dragon struggled, in the end, I stood on top of it’s gigantic corpse filled with satisfaction.

Actually, that Red Dragon was one of my most hated enemies in that world. The reason why I killed him in the first place was because that Red Dragon has the ability to turn into human form. Not only was he annoyingly handsome, but he also kidnapped a huge amount of women, be it kids or adults!

Well, I actually didn’t care about it that much, but you see, before that day of the battle, I met a cute kid who believed in me, the Hero. Despite her age, she was very smart and hardworking to help her parents. After parting with her for just a day, I already found out that the Red Dragon had already kidnapped her and her mother. By the time I reached his lair, those two, plus some more women, had already died.

So I killed him.

It didn’t have anything to do with what’s good or bad, it’s because someone I had appreciated was involved, I acted.

Well, who cares about that, more importantly...these kids are getting way too excited…

“Woooooooooooaaahhh! That was amazing!”

“It’s like I’m watching a movie!”

“That- that- that...that BOOM! And that-that WOOSH! And BAGOOM!!!”

...No, sorry I can’t understand what language you’re speaking…

“Next!? What’s next!?” (Geo)

Hmm...should I continue? Well, I think this is more interesting than a kindergarten lesson anyway.

Afterwards, I showed them more battles for the boys and dramas for the girls.

There was my battle with the Orc Lord, Leviathan, Sabertooth, Golem King, Goblin army, more dragons, Chimera, and such. As for the dramas, there was the time where I helped a mermaid princess find her whale pet, helping villages that were attacked by the demon army, waking up a sleeping princess, helping an elf find her true lineage, and such.

By the way, all those princesses and girls mentioned...none of them ended up wanting to marry me...I’m really sad…it’s just like a game. Finish a quest, earn rewards, and they won’t bother with you again...

Finally, I ended the story with a made up fight with the Demon King.

“Woaaaaaaahhh!”

“Amazing!”

“Waahhh I also want to ride that huge doggy!” (Zoe)

Doggy?...Wait, did she mean the chimera? She actually called that a doggy! It’s not even part dog!

“I want to fight the dragon! Max, help me get summoned to that world too!” (Geo)

No, in the first place, I don’t know how to go there from here. And even if I knew, I don’t wanna go there!

Also, do you think a brat like you can kill a dragon!? If that was so, they wouldn’t even bother to summon me and just deal with it themselves!

After all, the dragons in that world is only a bit weaker compared to the Demon King.

“Uwaa! So cool! Ah! I-I mean, hmph! It wasn’t cool at all! Not cool! But since I don’t want to hurt your feelings, I will say that it’s cool!” (Mica)

Livia’s face was tinted with red and refused to look at me, instead, she fiddled with her teddy bear and didn’t dare to raise her head.

She gives off the feeling of wanting to protect her! I say...if this girl gets a boyfriend in the future that isn’t me, I will have to properly make sure that guy knows what will happen if he makes her cry!

...Oi! Did even the teacher forget her job!?

“Alright everyone~ show’s over~ let’s go home!” (Jenny)

Ah! She’s running away!

Like that, the day ended in a flash...seriously, is this alright? Well, it’s the first day anyway so I guess there’s nothing wrong about it.

Since our schedule is already known to our parents, my parents were already waiting in front of the school to pick me up.

Inside the car, we casually chatted about my first day in school.

“So, Max. Made any friends already?” (Mother)

“Yep, they’re a bit weird, but also interesting.” (Max)

“Any girls I should be aware of?” (Father)

“Dear...it’s the first day of school, and he’s still just 5 years old!” (Mother)

“There’s a girl who wants to be a dog and promised to be my pet in the future, there’s another troublesome girl who always says the opposite of what she wants to say, and there’s this cute but shy girl!” (Max)

Behind the steering wheel, my father gave a sneaky thumbs up to me and I did the same.

Seeing our exchange just now, mother sighed and shook her head.

In a blink of an eye, 5 months passed.

Not much really happened these past 5 months. Occasionally, I would stir up some trouble. Most of the times, we would tease Jenny. Sometimes, we would go to my place to play.

It was also fun for me as I never had this kind of childhood in the past so I just enjoyed it as well.

Also, I would practice magic sometimes when playing with the others just for the heck of it.

An example would be when we would play by the beach and when no one was looking around, I would control the sand to make an awesome sand castle with earth magic!

I would also sometimes do sudden shouts like ‘Hah!’ and summon a gust of wind, making it look like I timed it perfectly.

When I felt like it, I would use the same move to flip some skirts accidentally…

Before I knew it, my aged mind had already become playful and mischievous even. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a kid or because I’m not in that damn world.

Anyway, those aren’t important, right now, we’re about to have a field trip!

Finally! I get to see more to this world than just my house, the beach, and school!

Even before I got summoned, I’m always excited in our field trips! Cause you know, it’s a freaking field trip!

While thinking that, I got more and more excited as I imagine the places we might visit.

Nevermind, I hate this field trip…

Why? Well, you will understand if you look around me.

Right now, we are inside a castle...a balloon castle that is...you know, the types where you enjoy bouncing around and such.

I didn’t think these things still exists even in this time…

“Haha! Look at me! See how high I jumped!” (Geo)

“I’m like a kangaroo! A dog kangaroo! Dogaroo! Hehehehe!” (Zoe)

No, even in that damn world, there is no such thing as a dog kangaroo! Heck, do you really need to add a dog!?

“This...this isn’t fun at all! Haha! This isn’t fun!” (Mica)

You’re not even tsundere-ing right oi!

Seriously...something is wrong with this girl’s head...my only conclusion till today is that she is influenced directly by her older sister, or was influenced by watching her older sister’s hobbies...anime.

Yes, she has an older sister. I haven’t met her yet, but from her description, I don’t wanna meet her…

Just this girl is annoying enough, a genuine tsundere is a pain…

Sighing at the thought, I looked around and saw Livia sitting quietly on the corner while holding her blue colored bear which I gave her by the way.

As I thought, she’s still too shy huh? Well, no helping it, guess I’ll just accompany her since I also don’t want to jump around.

“Has [Mr. Bluebear] been good?” (Max)

“U-...unn...thank you...” (Livia)

I nodded and sat next to her as we casually talked.

Like that, we simply passed the time, completely oblivious to what’s happening around us.

“Hm...I thought that devilish brat will try to cause a disturbance in this field trip but...” (Jenny)

Jenny looked to the corner where Max and Livia sat and a mischievous smile appeared in her face.

“Ohohohoho, so that’s what’s going on. Fumu, no wonder, no wonder...hehehehe.” (Jenny)

Completely convinced with her deduction, she pulled out her smartphone in order to take a picture of them with blackmail as her goal.

In her mind, if she threatens him that she’ll tell his parents or Livia that he has a crush on her, even that devilish brat will be embarassed and listen to her properly.

And if she controls him, she controls the whole class! Including the trouble children!

It can be said that her plan is foolproof and was quite confident. Only...she simply underestimated Max!

No...this is different!

Taking a glance on the direction of the person glaring at me, I immediately saw at the corner of my eye, Jenny, who was currently about to take a picture in my direction with her smartphone.

Fumu, I see what you’re up to. However, I’m not so easily taken advantage off oh~

Using my senses to the utmost extreme, I figured the timing of when she’s about to take a picture and…

I kissed Livia on the lips…at the same time, the sound of a picture being taken was heard.

“Sure, I don’t mind, but you must promise me that you’ll only kiss me!” (Max)

“Okay.” (Livia)

Jokes aside, to me, having Livia as my girlfriend is completely fine. I think she’s adorable too and I’m more worried of what will happen if she ends up with someone else.

But first, let’s take care of the spectators. I want a long kiss so it would be troublesome if we got too much attention.

Thinking that, I covered Livia’s ears with both hands and told her to close her eyes. To other people, this would look like I am about to kiss her.

“Wha-?” (Jenny)

As expected, Jenny tried to stop us upon seeing my actions but…

*POP*

Using air magic, I popped the balloon castle and made sure the sound came from behind Jenny to divert her attention.

While the rest was in chaos, I gave Livia a full blown french kiss!

Just to be sure, I also hid ourselves with diversion magic so the other people would unconsciously look away from us.

When the balloon castle popped behind her, she inadvertently looked back and see that a large tear appeared, resulting to the balloon castle deflating.

Since it happened near her, she was blamed to be the one who caused it, resulting to her being inspected for any sharp objects.

The result, they found none. So it was concluded that the balloon was simply too old and what occurred was only an accident so she was free.

However, she had lost sight of Max and Livia, causing her to be frantic as wild delusions keep playing out in her head.

“Wha wha wha...what do I do???” (Jenny)

Jenny completely forgot the point that Max and Livia are still kids about 5 years old…

Meanwhile, on another side, Mica was looking at Max and Livia with interest, never once did she move her gaze away!

The reason the diversion magic didn’t work on her is because her attention had been with them before Max used that magic, hence, as long as she didn’t look away, she will be able to see them!

Max didn’t think that there will be anyone who will look at them after the balloon castle popped so he wasn’t on guard at all. Thanks to this, Mica saw everything.

Unconsciously, Mica raised her hand and touched her own lips, seemingly trying to think how the kiss must’ve felt.

“I...want to try too...but they seem to be enjoying themselves...should I ask Geo?” (Mica)

She thought, however, she immediately dispelled such thoughts.

“Geo’s no good, I think Max is better! Okay, I’ll go ask him later.” (Mica)

Regarding why she didn’t consider Geo, actually, ever since they introduced themselves, she was already drawn towards Max.

He described himself to be from another world, to her, that means he is her prince charming! She grew up watching Zero no Tsukaima that her older sister lent her, hence, an idea was planted in her mind.

That is, if you say the opposite of what you want, people will pay more attention to you! And if a boy is from another world, then he is your lover!

Then suddenly, there comes a boy who claimed he was from another world! Naturally, she was drawn into him more than the others!

Also, she can clearly see that Livia was enjoying the kiss so she concluded that Max is good at kissing. Resulting to her ignoring Geo.

“Okay, I need to do my best! Eh? Where did they go?” (Mica)

While pumping herself up, she noticed that the two was suddenly gone...

To those who think that children kissing are disgusting, well, I couldn't care less. Though I myself think it's weird, I also find it amusing. Especially when they have no idea what it meant.

Well...I have to admit though...I did get myself carried away here...I was just typing what pops in my head. I found that situation amusing, ended up writing it. Now I'm too lazy to even bother to change it haha.

So...some people say that I can't write a non-dense harem MC *cough*Den*cough*stupid*cough* so...how's this then? not too dense right? Well whatever.

I'm thinking of making Livia the main heroine...I dunno why, I just do...but it's still harem...
