Chapter 6
Mike: (Why's everything so blurry? I feel so small and weak...Oh, that's right, I've been reincarnated. Wow, being a baby is really different than how most novels portray it to be. I can at least hear things, but if anything my hearing is way more sensitive than it was before. Ah! Is this why babies cry!? When I have kids I'll make sure everyone present for the birth speaks in a low voice... Hey ES, can you hear me? You said I'd still be able to talk to you telepathically.)
ES: Are you alright Mike? I can't see you, but you should have just been born, right?
Mike: (Yeah, my visions starting to clear up. Oh, I can understand what they're saying. It's in english, right?)
ES: Yeah, CE didn't want people complaining about the language being a waste of time, so for tje first reincarnation, everyone gets born into a place where the dominant language is one they are familiar with. There are some exceptions, but that isn't important right now. Anyways, how are your surroundings?
Mike: (They're talking as if they want to get rid of me. Seems they want to abandon me just like in the original storyline. My mom's trying to convince them not to. They say that they'll let me live here until I'm 5. After that, I'm on my own.)
ES: How dare they!?
Mike: (It's alright ES, I can switch forms at any time, right? I'll just do that if push comes to shove. Until then, I'll try to stay in this form as much as possible.)
ES: ...All right, just remember you're not alone, you have a w-wife you can talk to.
Mike: (*chuckle* Yeah, I'm thankful to have such a thoughtful wife as well. Later on I'll come visit you, ok?)

ES: Yeah, see you soon. I'll just watch some shows from your old world. Bye Mike.
Mike: (Bye, love you. Ah, the connection cut off. Now, what to do... might as well enjoy being a baby.)
After Mike stopped talking with ES, he simply enjoyed the warmth of his mother. There was just something about a mother that brought a different feeling of security than when he was with ES…
Mike: (I can't remember what my parents were like, so having one right now is... kinda nice actually. I hope I can protect my mom. My strength feels around... hm...around the strength of a 2 year old child? Eh, close enough. Since I'll be abandoned by the age of 5 I might not even need to go back to my old form. I should also try to gain control of my innocence, but first, I should take a nap. There's just something so relaxing about lying on a mother's chest… Oh yeah, what are the missions I have for this world?)
D.Grayman World Missions
Main: Defeat the Millennium Earl- 30000 Defeat 1 lvl1 Akuma- 10 Defeat 1 lvl2 Akuma- 50 Defeat 1 lvl3 Akuma- 500 Become an Official Exorcist- 5000 Stop the Noah Family from destroying humanity
Mike: (...I kinda saw it coming, but that main quest is gonna be a pain in the ass. The worst part is that even though the mission is at such a high level, it only gives twice the points I got as a starter pack. *sigh* Well, looks like I'll have to farm as much as possible in order to get the points I need. Oh, looks like they're finally deciding on my name! I wonder if it'll be like the original main character of D.grayman. Um... why are they writing down words and putting it in a hat? Hey, I might not be able to see that well, but I swear that paper says "Lilshit" on it! They're not even trying to diguise it! ...They better hope I get a fairly decent name, or else everyone here, except mom, dies the second I turn 5.)

A-hole Uncle: Why should a monster like that even have a proper name!
Mike's Mom: Because that child is mine!
Dumb Aunt: It's lucky enough to not be thrown out on the street, let alone be given an actual name.
Grandfather (?): *sigh* How about this, we leave it up to God whether or not the chill gets a decent name.
Mike's Mom: But-!
Grandfather (?): Don't argue, it'll only make things worse...
After arguing on whether or not the family would keep Mike, everyone in the room came to a consensus that they would let Mike's new name be decided by fate. Though Mike's mom had begged them to let her name him properly, she knew that at least having a chance was better than certainty. And what better way than by lottery? After everyone wrote down a name, including Mike's new mom who wrote "Allen" as her choice, they then put the names in a hat and mixed it up, oblivious to the murderous gaze Mike gave them the entire process. After about a minute of shaking, they had Mike's mother pull a name out of the hat. She seemed quite nervous, and no one could blame her. Though she could call her son by a different name, everyone else would always call him by the name she pulled. What caring mother would want their child to go through that? And so, she prayed to whatever god was watching that they would allow her to pull one of the fairly decent names...
In Another Dimension...
CE: Well, following the original plot, Allen would be picked from the jumble of names... but it would be fun to mess with the man who called my title stupid. Ah, but then again, he did end up looking at me with such reverence... I'll save revenge for later, but it also wouldn't do to give him exactly what he wants... I'll just choose one of the bearable names other than "Allen". Be thankful, boy. Hope the name doesn't mess things up... On second thought, it might be better to make things harder for him, hahahaha!
Back...
Mike: (Oh, she pulled a name out! What is it, what is my name!?)
Mike's Vincent's Mom: ...Oh thank god it's normal. Well then, I guess your name from now on will be "Vincent".
Mike: (...Not Allen? WTH? Where did that name even come from? I was so sure "Allen" would be the only normal name since no one but mom seems to like me because of my left arm. Hey, CE answer me! I thought you would make the plot go as it would normally.)
CE: Sorry, my bad. Still, it's not like it really matters all that much, just deal with it.
Mike: (...I guess it doesn't... I'll just lie about my identity when I meet the exorcists. Still... who knows if not having the same name will affect the plot somehow...*gulp*)
