《Re:Serpent, the Struggles of a 'Snake' to Survive and Evolve...》Chapter 1: Developing/Training Period: Part 1

The next day, after I woke up, I practiced on my control over, use over, and (out of amusement and whim) cultivation of mana, which succeeded surprisingly since I really did it as a joke, I mean I CAN cultivate! …Well sort of, as I am not sure how monsters cultivate, so I decided to use my own ‘mana’ and knead it into every fiber of my being, a concept based on the light novels I read and so on, and it worked, strengthening my body, bones, flesh, scales, mind, and etc. to a significant degree. It was possible since I can monitor and regulate my internal energy flow using my profound inhuman senses, which is very useful in sensing and helps me monitor by feeling the effects and changes in and on my body. My own reserves replenish over time, so I have no need to worry, and it is also growing more and more each day.
The second day after that, I practiced internal mana control and experimented with it. When I ‘saw’ myself the first time, I now know that what I did was, by focusing my mana and intentions, I unintentionally ‘project’ my sight outside my physical being, meaning I can now see without moving my body, almost like ‘Clairvoyance’, but I could not hear sounds, so I worked on that problem until I eventually solved it by projecting my sense of sound along with my sight. I even tried it with sense of touch, and now I can project my entire senses out of the shell and observe my surroundings by the end of the ‘day’, before I sleep, yes I sleep inside the egg, which is definitely not normal even for monsters haha.
The third day, my parent usually comes to care for me in every 3 ‘days’ from what I gathered on her habits and timing, I decided to take a good look at my…mother…who is a huge (WAY bigger than me in my egg state) scaly, red, and jade-green serpent with deer-like horns and two undersized clawed four-fingered arms, levitating towards me from a very large, cave tunnel…huh…so I can fly without wings, which is kind of interesting and fun to try out after hatching. I can tell the serpent is my mother based on her…motherly aura which I now can feel at this time. She was wrapping her serpentine body around me unfazed by the lava I am bathed in, with some space in between her and me, pouring in what felt like mana based on the feeling of my own mana, into me. After some time, she was done, she gazed at me with her sky-blue, silver glazed eyes and is now…snuggling me…lovingly like a human mother…

Curious, I decided to examine her...closely...which was a mistake as she almost noticed my watching her. I forgot to practice on hiding my presence, or in this case, my mana’s presence. I do not want reveal my secret, as there is no telling what might happen if they discover that I am human inside, as I might be lynched out of racism, or worse...I successfully hid myself from her completely by canceling out my Clairvoyance, which is a skill I now dubbed, at the last second and focused on killing any aura or presence I might leak, no matter how small by annulling my emotions and thoughts, trying to become ‘nothing’. I did it based on what I learned from my family dojo, connecting my mind, body, and spirit into one, mostly learned through harsh training and meditation. I am safe for now, though I felt an very overwhelming pressure from Mother, as she angrily roared and flew around my crystal cave area, in search for intruders, and then flew out into the same large tunnel she entered from. Peeking and stealthily observing around my environment much more closely, I now noticed that there is only ONE entrance and exit here…which is that huge tunnel mother used.
I did not see the fruits of her wrath at that day, as I was focusing on hiding my entire existence from her and a bit too frightened to follow her with my Clairvoyance, but…from what I can hear, I hear explosions, screams, and pitiful cries from various unknown creatures I did not even know lived here as I was busy focusing on training…may they rest in peace, and uh, sorry. After the noises dimmed down, I decided to lie low…focusing on training my stealth avenue until sleepy time.
