《The Start of a Unusual Life in an Alternate Reality(Soul-AR. You know like solar)》Second First Impression

As we walk out of the dungeon and into the halls of what im gonna assume is a military base, i start questioning the others as to where we are and why they chained me up as if i was charles manson.
Dorian"So any reason as to why i was tied up worse than a gimp at a bdsm convention? I mean thats not exactly a good first impression. Especially when two of your group seemed so eager to cause me bodily harm if i didnt cooperate." I say as im still trying to find my balance after hanging upside down for so long.
Lilith:"Well we found you on the outskirts of the base limits by our barrier. A barrier mind you that is nigh impenetrable except for the vision of the gods." Im gonna save my questions about this world for later, right now i need some exposition as to what the fucks going on.
Dagothur:"Yeah, we're at war so of course we'd have such a reaction about a stranger in the barrier. I mean most of our leaders are here so-" Well that answered a few questions for me.
Aronithia:"Shut up Dagothur! Hes not cleared for that info yet. We still need to question him as to how he got here."
Lilith:" You dont have to worry about that stuff for now Dorian. We should get to know each other first. Dont worry, ill keep your secret for now." She says to me with what i would presume is a saucy wink at the end. Ive never been good at reading signs of interest when it comes in the form of flirting. Im the "unless you tell me how you feel, im oblivious as fuck" type.
Dag(its a pain in the ass to spell out his name each time):"What secret Lilith? You know that your father wont be happy that your keeping secrets." Im gonna go out on a limb and assume her father is the leader of this instillation.

Thia(same with her):"Oooh please tell me. I love secrets." For a grown ass woman, that sounded pretty childish.
Lilith:"Dont worry guys, i wont keep the secret for long." That worries me.
Dorian:"Can you guys not talk as if im not walking next to you? Speaking of walking, where the fuck are we going? Im lost here."
Thia:"Well would you look at that Dag, a man whos not afraid of asking directions."
Dag:" Shut up Thia. We're going to meet the boss."
So after a bunch of turns, that they most likely made to make me lost on purpose, we arrived at a door that looks like the door you would see that leads to the principles office when you get called there for something.
Dorian:'I should invest in an internal mapping skill.' I think is lilith saunters over to the door and knocks. How can you saunter when you dont have legs?
We enter as im trying to figure out the intricacies of how to saunter while you slither.
Dorian:*chuckles*
Lilith:*chuckles then clears throat and whispers to me*"Alright Dorian, its time for you to meet my father. Hes a general so treat him with the respect deserving such honor. Or i wont forgive you."She says with a pout that would be heartbreaking if i didnt already know she doesnt mean it.
We enter the office and i have to say, its a nice office. Hardwood floors, bookshelves along the walls with maps above said shelves. They look to be war maps with borders and armies in different positions for each one. In the middle of the room is a wooden mahogany desk with a computer, and stack of paperwork and a nametag on the desk. The name reads "Gen. Therion Styles". Badass name.

Styles:"Thank you for the compliment." Says a man who, besides the pointed ears and devil tail with a heart looking point at the end, looks like a mid-20's man. Im gonna guess hes a demon of some kind, most likely a incubus.
Dorian:"Your welcome sir, im guessing your daughter got her talent for mind reading from you."
Styles:"Nah not really, thats all from her mother. You know how women are. Even without magic, they can read your mind. Anyway, my name is Therion Styles. Youve already met my daughter Lilith Styles, and my subordinates, corporalls Dagothur Eldritch, and Aronithia Terebith. Im gonna be straight with you Dorian. Whose side are you on?"

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions. But you need to live in the dark to appreciate the light...or at least, the lighter grays 🖤🖤
