《The All Being》Prologue

In a grand meeting room made of marble and gold, there was a gathering of people who could only be called strange, unusual, or inhuman. One was made of fire, another was a tree, one was a mass of light, and another was a humanoid with green skin, massive muscles, and tusks that could probably kill an elephant.
All of these people had grim expressions as they all looked towards a single person among them. This person seemed to be normal but the longer you looked at him the more you realized he was constantly shifting around in place. Moving by a tiny amount in a random direction at all times.
“Well, what is this prophecy that’s so important?” The tree asked the mostly normal man.
“Be patient, you know I wouldn’t have called everyone if it wasn’t extremely important. Now be patient, we’re missing someone still.” The man replied.
“Wait a second, everyone’s here right? We aren’t missing anyone.” The fire person said.
“We still are missing someone. I’m kind of disappointed you forgot about them.” The mostly normal man said.
Everyone’s expressions twisted as they heard. The green humanoid even said, “Hold on a second, I thought we agreed that we would run everything without them. Why are you going against the agreement?”
The mostly normal man sighed and shook his head, “I wouldn’t call them unless I had no choice. You know I was the person who suggested excluding them.”
As he finished speaking, the doors to the meeting room opened. A small child with dragon wings and a dragon tail walked into the meeting room. As the child entered, every person there held their breath.
Step.
Step.
Step.
“So, why did you disturb me?” The child asked with an obviously displeased tone.
Everyone was silent until the mostly normal man spoke up, “There’s a prophecy that requires all of us to work together to solve.”
The child didn’t look any happier, “So you called me because you can’t deal with it on your own? Tell me the prophecy and I’ll decide if I want to help.”
The mostly normal man felt some slight relief that he wasn’t entirely ignored and said, “The prophecy I saw has an 80% chance of coming true, a 19% chance of us suffering severe losses before the prophecy fails, a 0.5% chance of us dealing with the prophecy with no issues, and a 0.5% chance of the prophecy being completely false.”
Everyone’s expressions only got more grim but the mostly normal man still hadn’t finished speaking, “The prophecy states that there will be a creature that can become any living thing, perfectly copying them, and will destroy the world in its pursuit for an unknown goal.”
Everyone looked as if they had lost all hope, aside from the child that is.
The child merely looked interested and asked, “So, how exactly do you plan on dealing with this prophecy?”
The mostly normal man seemed so ecstatic that he gained the child’s interest.
He explained, “I have an idea that copies parts of those human and dwarven technologies. It is a type of information system that can help the world advance in strength. We can use it to find out who the creature is while also helping the other creatures grow stronger as a backup so we can have more soldiers to help us fight.”
The previously hopeless people gained a small spark of hope as they heard the plan.
The man saw this spark of hope and stated the final part of this plan, “There’s only one small issue. This system would need access to every single god’s authority in order to have enough power and data to function. This authority obviously needs to be given willingly and can’t be revoked. Once you give access to your authority the system would obviously have the same authority as you, meaning that neither of you can affect the other.”

Everyone contemplated as they heard this condition. Some wondered if this was the man’s scheme to gain more authority, some wondered if this was really necessary while some wondered what the others would choose.
Seeing these expressions, the man sighed and said, “To show my sincerity I’ll offer my authority first.”
He held out his open hand and a constantly shifting mass of purple light appeared over it. The rest of the gods recognized this as his authority of space and merely having it take physical form would weaken him.
In his other hand, the man held a crystal with gold lines running through it. He pushed the purple light into the crystal and it was absorbed. The crystal turned purple after the absorption.
After giving this authority away, the man stopped shifting around and looked like a normal human.
After this sacrifice, some of the more skeptical gods chose to trust the man and gave away their authority. The gods that had wondered if this was necessary realized that there was no going back and gave their authority as well. The final group of gods decided to follow the others and gave their authority as well.
The crystal was now shining brightly like a star in the night sky. If placed in the mortal world it would become the most expensive item instantly due to being a top tier godly material and containing almost every authority the gods held over the world.
The only god that hadn’t given their authority was the small child with dragon wings and a dragon tail. He was standing off by the side and simply watched as the other gods gave their authority.
This was the person that every other god was afraid of. The God of Space was even more afraid because if this child didn’t give his authority then while the system could still be created it would be merely at half its possible strength and would most likely be incapable of helping stop the prophecy.
Every god held their breath as the child moved away from the wall and towards the crystal.
Step.
Step.
Step.
His every step made the other gods more and more terrified.
When he arrived at the crystal he inspected it for a short while before holding out his hand.
He summoned his authority and it immediately pushed back the other gods with its sheer power. The crystal remained in place due to the God of Space’s full effort and some help from the crystal.
The child’s authority was massive, around the size of a bus, and was the color of the rainbow, always changing.
To this day no other god had determined what the child’s authority was, they merely knew that it gave the child enough power to be able to erase the entirety of the Godly Realm with a single hand.
Thankfully the child had no such intentions ever and merely wished to be left to his own devices.
The child pushed his authority into the crystal and it quickly grew. From the size of a small rock to the size of a boulder, to the size of a hill, to the size of a mountain, and it didn’t seem to slow down.
Every other god had already backed away due to fear of something dangerous occurring. Nothing happened to the child even though he was the closest. He was wrapped in his authority as it kept the crystal from pushing him and kept strengthening it.
*****
After what seemed like an eternity, the crystal stopped growing. No one could see the child but they assumed he was safe as he was the most powerful of them all.

Then the crystal exploded.
It didn’t send shards flying everywhere, it didn’t even cause damage to the terrain. It just turned into pure light and spread out everywhere, from the Godly Realm to the Mortal Realm to even the depths of the Demon Realm.
When every living being could finally see again after being blinded, they saw a box in front of them. The gods and humanoids in the Mortal Realm and Demon Realm saw a specific box which was called the Introduction,
(A very long explanation for something very similar to most LitRPG systems. If you know what one is and don’t care about specifics you can skip this.)
The System has been established. Now scanning for information…
Information acquired. Now creating a profile…
Profile created. Starting Introduction…
Welcome to the System. I will help you grow stronger in order to prepare you for when the gods will require you. You can earn experience from completing tasks or actions related to your Job, Profession, or Class. This experience is used to level up. Leveling up grants Skill Points used to acquire General Skills and increase the level of General Skills or Personal Skills and Stat Points, which will be explained later. Leveling up Skills makes them more powerful and causes some to have new effects.
Personal Skills can’t be acquired by using Skill Points but are acquired through doing specific actions. Aside from General Skills and Personal Skills there are also Class Skills, Job Skills, and Profession Skills. These Skills are unable to be acquired through actions or Skill Points. The only way to acquire these Skills is by leveling up your Class, Job, or Profession.
A Class is a combat role that gives bonuses to certain aspects of a person in accordance with what their Class is supposed to do. An Archer might gain bonuses to speed or eyesight but won’t gain anything related to defense because an Archer is not supposed to be fighting in melee combat on the frontlines.
A Job is a general non-combat role that someone does and supports the role that they perform. A Job could be something like a Blacksmith or an Enchanter. A Profession is a specialized Job or an advanced Job. A Blacksmith specialized in jewelry would have the Profession of Jeweler. If someone had leveled up Blacksmith enough they might advance into an Arcane Blacksmith who is good at incorporating magic into the items they create.
That is mostly everything for Skills, Jobs, Classes, and Professions. The other important information is Stat Points. A Stat is an aspect of someone that is quantified. These are the aspects that are increased by Classes and can also be increased by using Stat Points. One Stat is Strength which is the quantified amount of how much force someone can use. Someone with high Strength could break an iron sword into two pieces by simply using their hands while someone with lower Strength would be unable to.
Stats can be increased through training in that aspect such as lifting heavy objects repeatedly to increase Strength or using Stat Points to directly increase how much Strength someone has.
This concludes the Introduction. There are many other functions to be explored in this System.
Everybody in the world was reading through this box and understanding what this System was. Everyone except the God of Space who was currently searching through the System using his [System Administrator] privileges.
He kept mumbling a single word, “Why?”
Eventually he couldn’t find what he was looking for and started shouting, “WHY?! WHY AM I NOT THE SYSTEM OWNER!? WHO IS THE SYSTEM OWNER!?”
The other gods were confused and had finished reading so they looked around the System to find out what the God of Space was talking about.
Soon they found that in their [Profile] there was a section called [Titles]. This section had all of the titles they had ever been called by other people seriously. This included their godly titles and a new title that was either [System Moderator] or [System Administrator]. They quickly found out that [System Moderator] was given to the gods who were only Lesser Gods when the System was created while [System Administrator] was given to the gods that were Greater Gods when the System was created.
They determined that [System Owner] should be a higher title than [System Administrator] and most likely corresponded to a higher rank of god than Greater God.
They quickly came to a conclusion and decided to tell the God of Space, “Wouldn’t it have gone to Cyrus? He is the most powerful of us all.”
The God of Space was stunned as he thought about this possibility, ‘Did he find out my plan? No, he wouldn’t have cared if he had found out. So why am I not [System Owner]? Unless… he had his own plan and needed to be the [System Owner]?’
He quickly made up an excuse to go find Cyrus to check his theory, “Follow me, we’re going to go check on Cyrus and make sure he isn’t dead as he was practically inside the System Crystal. We will need his help to stop the prophecy.”
The other gods had no arguments so they followed the God of Space into the meeting room that was now in ruins due to the size of the System Crystal.
They made use of their now weakened authority to remove the rubble quickly and search for Cyrus.
They found no trace of him, whether it be his body or his movement away from the meeting room.
This only deepened the God of Space’s worry, ‘If there’s no trace of him then it’s possible he merged into the System while becoming the [System Owner]. I have no idea what he would be capable of if he did that.’
Luckily or unluckily for the God of Space there was a message that the System spread. This was obviously under the influence of Cyrus as it stated, “I, Cyrus, the Supreme God of the Godly Realm make an announcement. There will be a creature far more powerful than anything ever seen before appearing eventually. The System was created to fight against it but due to some corrupt morals it would’ve been usurped by a few gods and become incapable of strengthening anyone other than those gods as much as it should have.
“In order to protect the Mortal Realm and even the Demon Realm I have taken the ultimate authority of the System and will use it to strengthen all except those in the Godly Realm to the highest strength possible. If you question why I take action against every god rather than just a few let it be known that every bright light has a dark shadow. If you are angry at me for any reason then let it be known I do not care. I have made my sacrifice and the useless gods will make theirs.”
This message was the greatest topic of conversation for years. The churches denounced it and almost went to war against multiple nations for believing it. As time went on however, the message was forgotten and the people adapted to the System more and more.
The gods had lived in fear for a while but they also forgot the prophecy and message, eventually continuing on and adapting.
Perhaps only Cyrus knew when the prophecy would begin. Perhaps only he knew of an event thousands of years later. Perhaps only he knew the name of the creature in the prophecy was The All Being. Perhaps only he could have saved the entire world. But what is the use of ”perhaps”? Cyrus is the System and the System is Cyrus now.
