Chapter 1: The Triplets are Born
"What in the Immortal Realm is taking so long? It's been over two hours!" a man cursed as he paced back and forth.
"Relax, my son. Your wife should be giving birth soon. I sensed more than one child in her womb and the first childbirth is always the most excruciating. After all, something beautiful is always born under extreme pain. That beautiful thing is called life," an old man answered.
"Congratulations, my son. You are the father of a girl and two boys," an old woman smiled as she entered from the doors as the father-to-be paced back in forth as if he were walking on hot coal.
"Three?" the two men cried and rushed into the room, the old woman sighing as her husband and son rushed into the room.
They saw blood on the sheets between a pale, sweaty woman who had lost consciousness. The first man sighed as he could feel her breath steadying and knew she would be alright. They turned to see three crying babies, eyes shut tight, as they wailed atop a smaller bed. The blood had been cleaned from their bodies, but their hair was too bloodied to tell what color it was.
"They are arranged in the order of their birth, from left to right. The girl was born first, five minutes before the second child. The last child was born seven minutes after the second as we had to turn him around, inside her womb, as his head was not in front. She lost much blood and will need to stay bedridden much longer than usual," the new grandmother smiled. "Triplets. The Heavens are truly smiling on the Guo Clan. I previously sensed only twins. What a nice little miracle."

"I finally join my brothers and sister as being a grand parent," the old man laughed. "My Guo Clan finally has three more members of the main branch. What will you name them?"
"Perhaps mother can ascertain their potential?" the man asked.
"Strange. Very strange," the grandmother said after lifting her hand and releasing a gentle light on the babies, causing them to enter a blissful sleep.
"They lack any attributes? Is there none they have the possibility to learn?" the old man asked.
"You old coot! You know those are impossible to determine. A practitioner has no affinity until they turn seven. I guarantee that they should be able to become practitioners," the old woman snapped at her husband. "We'll name them Guo Mei, Guo Lin, and Guo Yang."
As the men left, the grandmother tended to her daughter-in-law. She did not notice Guo Yang act abnormally, already attempting to open his eyes. Guo Yang used to be a giant, gold snake with jade eyes and sand colored feathers. Within his chest, a neidan that used to be in his old body was there.
Memories of his past life flashed before it, a giant snake controlling water and earth as if it was a sovereign under the Heavens. Oceans could not hide prey from it. Mountains became the domains of its hunt and terror. By turning water into ice, not even phoenixes could burn it and kill it as they did many other snake magical beasts.
Even the bones and lungs of dragons were crushed and exploded while its body coiled around them. Humans fled before its poisonous jade mists and the baby boy felt the same fear the snake did as it had the option of ascension. After a thousand years, the snake had been reborn a human. At last, it gained a fresh start and hoped its new life would not be as treacherous and dangerous as the last.
Maybe, in this life, he did not have to fear birds. He really, really hated birds.

Those Who Aspired to Become Gods : A darker fairy tale novel ©
" Greetings! I'm Loki.....God of mischief and trickery....Wish to hear the tale of Kayle Shaw, a man forsaken by his own world and transported to another.... by me! Though upon entering into this new world our Hero quickly discovers everything was much less fairy tail like than he imagined. It's a world run by the strong and ruled by the corrupt. The weak live everyday in torment and slavery with no means of escape while the lands are constantly engulfed in war between guilds, kingdoms, and countries. Follow the man who would eventually flip this world on its head. Starting an orphanage and even establishing his own Kingdom of Shieldfriegan known now as the The Shield of the Weak. A man known by so many names he lost track of them all..... Beast from the East, God Slayer, The Divine Chef, and even for a brief time ' Vali the Reaper ' . But alas all this was only the beginning. This tale is the story ...of my champion."PS. If you enjoy an OP MC in an even more OP world, you'll like this. Also I will hopefully clean and redo old chapters in time since my dialogue might not be great. I also enjoy doing other POV's, because half the fun of being OP in a new world is getting to see how everyone reacts about it. *Artwork done by Lenni Olinsson

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.

Every Hateful Instrument
Hail-and-Farewell Vinright is a pirate, ferrying drugs and weapons across the galaxy. Only people with the power can build the stardrives at the core of every ship, and the market for them is controlled by the Imperial government. When Aymon steps too far out of line, his master sends him away to find the pirates who are flooding the galaxy with stardrives, destabilizing the Imperial government and the spacefaring Guild. The Weaver's Wrath
Millennia have passed since the end of the God Wars. Mankind's heroes of these wars, the powerful Luminescents, have since become the rulers of the lands, relying on their ancestors' deeds to fuel their own ambitions. The Church itself has fractured since the death of their Goddess. Now it has shifted its focus to a new power - the descendents of the men and women who had received her blessing in the past - the Luminescents. However, with the death of the Goddess Selene, their own abilities began to lessen in quality with each successive generation, leaving them grasping desperately at whatever they can; money, lands, power. Sevrath was born in a time far different than that of ages past. Much of the continent was under the rule of the powerful Luminescent rulers. The Gods were dead and gone; the age of man had begun.
