Twelve years ago in a certain small village

A small kid was ( around eight ) was running toward his mother with a smile on his face. He was hiding something behind his back and when he got in front of her he showed a small pouch of money.

"Hey mom look. Dad brought me to the city and I managed to earn this much money."

The mother stopped the work she was doing in the kitchen and pat the head of his son.

"That is great honey. Do you know where you will spend it on?" she said with her gentle voice. It seemed like the kid was waiting for her to ask that question as his eyes started sparkling.

"I am going to collect a lot of money and buy you the best gift ever!" The kid said ,his voice full of excitement.

"Oh my. You don't have to go that far Henry. Mommy will be happy as long as you and your sister are happy"

Then someone opened door and shouted

"Honey I'm home"

"Welcome back darling" The woman shouted back as she started to quickly prepare the table for dinner. Henry helped his mother prepare the dinner and went to call his sister. After they all got on the table they began to eat. Upon finishing the dinner Henry went to sleep so he can be ready for the next day.

The next day arrived and he headed in the forest to pick mushrooms and different medical plants in order to sell them on the market while his father was cutting down trees. Upon collecting two full baskets of many berries, plants and mushrooms he went on a one hour walk to the city to sell them. The city he was going to was Protos and he already had a few pharmacists who would happily buy the ingredients from him. He sold off all the things he managed to collect and after that he went to work.

Since Henry was a kid he could not do big jobs and instead was hired by local people to do small and easy jobs such as cleaning or delivery. He worked hard all day and did not earn a lot of money but he was happy with the money he got. After he was ready to go home he decided to buy a brooch for his mother with all the money he collected so he went to the accessory shop. After buying a cheap brooch that resembled his mothers eyes he was ready to go back home and surprise her.

Once he was getting closer to the village he lived in he suddenly started seeing a large amount of smoke appearing in the direction where he was headed. As soon as he realized something happened inside the village he immediately ran as fast as he can to see the most horrific sight of his life. Most of the houses were completely destroyed while the ones that were something more than rubble were in flames. He rushed towards his house and as he was getting closer he saw a lot of mutilated bodies along with some monsters. It seems as if the monsters suddenly went berserk and attacked the village but villagers fought back to some extent. Upon arriving in front of his house what he witnessed was so horrible his tears started going without a sign of calming down. The mother he loved so much along with his father were killed and their bodies were in pieces.

He was about to just fall on the floor and cry until he dies but he heard the cries of his sister. The moment he heard t hem he rushed toward the rubble that was once a home shared by his family and managed to dig up his sister, completely helpless , who started crying tears of joy once she saw her big brother. He picked her up and hugged her with all his might. Once he got her on his back , ready to bring her to the city and find a doctor willing to treat her with little money he had left, he noticed a weird figure.

If was a pale, skinny and long humanoid being with pointy ears and pitch black hair. The being was heading towards the forest while holding something in his hand. Henry knew it the moment he saw him that that man , or whatever he is, is the one who did all of this. He is the one who killed his mother and father. He was the one who destroyed the village. He was the one at fault for everything but he was weak and did not have time to do anything about it. Since he did not wish to keep his little sister waiting he went towards the city and on his way here he met the knight squad. They asked the kids what happened and brought them somewhere safe for the time.

Since there was no survivors but those two kids and they did not want them to end on the streets Henry was appointed as a knight in training. As years passes Henrys talent for swordsmanship shone brightly because of all the effort he put in and his younger sister ,not wanting to be a burden to his brother, decided to study hard and be as much of help for her older brother as she can.

Many years later Henry climbed up to the position of vice commander while his younger sister was enrolled in one of the most famous elite schools aboard. Henry also spent a lot of money and research to find out about the person who killed his village but there was only a small amount of clues. From what he gathered it seems as if he is some kind of elf and the member of Council of Torment but even the intel he got was not confirmed so he kept searching.

One night a member of Council of Torment attacked the city and when he arrived a young man named Melton already killed him. He decided to get some information about it and after thinking about it he decided to join them for the sake of his revenge.
