《The Love of a Sparrow (Elmont/JTGS LS)》Over at Last

Sparrow's POV:
I bent over a trough to wash my face, leaning against it. I looked at my reflection, but saw something behind me in the water. I poked up and saw beanstalks growing down.
"Jack!" I yelled to him, getting on Matrix. He looked up and jumped on his horse. We rode off to warn the King.
"Giants." We yelled at the bell ringer as we passed him and he started ringing the bell.
"Run! Giants!" We kept yelling as we ran into the group of guards. By now we were all running for the gates with the giants close behind us. They'd throw stuff at us, such as the blades of a windmill. I stayed behind Jack to make sure he got in safe. He did but barely. Matrix and I jumped and got through just as it was almost closed. My wing was snagged by a giant that was hanging from the drawbridge causing me to be yanked off Matrix and slammed against the bridge. The giant was shot by many arrows and let go of me to try to shield his faces with his arms. I slid to the ground and held my broken wing.
"Sparrow!" I heard an all too familiar voice call out to me. My head snapped up and I saw my love.
"Elmont!" I ran and jumped into his arms. He spun me around as we laughed in happiness.
"I thought I'd lost you." I said, leaning my forehead against his.
"I promised I'd come back to you, didn't I?" He said.
"Elmont!" The king came over.
"Just a moment, your majesty." He said not taking his eyes off me and kissed me. He looked at me lovingly as he shook the kings hand.

"Roderick?"
"Roderick is dead, your majesty." He responded finally looking at the king.
"And the crown?" Isabelle asked.
"I'm afraid the Giants have the crown." His arms tightened around me. We looked over at the sound of a bell and watched the monks bell slam through the top part of a wall and into the statue of king Eric. Some giant grappling hooks started pulling down the draw bridge. Elmont and I started helping on pulling the line to keep the bridge up. The king even started to help too. They must have gotten some more hands to help pull cause the bridge started falling much easier, dragging us across the ground.
"Guardians, get our King and the witcher Queen to safety." Elmont ordered.
"Like hell!" We both yelled back at him and drew our swords.
"Fall back into defensive positions! Fall back, stand strong men!" Elmont yelled. The giants smashed through the gates with three swings of their clubs and entered.
"You smell that brothers? Don't you love it when blood cornels." The one that seemed to be the head giant asked the others and they laughed.
"Let's cut a few of the down to size, shall we?" Elmont yelled to us before we looked to the castle that had a stalk growing out of it. When we turned back, the Giants started dropping their weapons and bowing. I turned around and saw Jack wearing the crown.
"There's something behind me, isn't there?" Elmont asked.
"Absolutely." I said excitedly with my hands clamped together in front of me, almost jumping with happiness as Elmont turned around. Jack came in front of us with Isabelle beside him holding his hand and everyone started cheering for him. Elmont suddenly dipped and kissed me lovingly.

"Let's go rebuild." He said and set me upright before turning to the king.
"Your majesty, I hate to say this but I'm afraid I'm resigning." Elmont said.
"And whys that?" The king asked.
"Because my heart lies elsewhere." He wrapped an arm around me.
"Well at least stay till the castle is rebuilt and I can send men to help rebuild." I looked at the king in shock.
"What?"
"I'm going to help you rebuild. We will have an alliance after all. I'm sure Jack and Isabelle would love for you to be at their wedding. In fact, you should have yours here too." He said.
"Wait, what?" I asked again.
"That marriage law is stupid anyways." I got so excited and happy that I hugged the king. He just laughed and hugged me back. I squeaked in pain and backed away from the king to hold my injured wing that somebody touched.
"And you should get that looked at." Elmont said dragging me to a maester.
