11/26: wednesdays with Fate

let's begin at the beginning.

that's only appropriate, right?

besides, that's the only rule i like to follow — sometimes.

i also like to believe in Fate — sometimes.

i think Fate had a good night's sleep prior.

Fate was in a good mood that wednesday.

Fate took the form of an auditorium

and an empty seat to my left.

you know how people say we just clicked?

Fate handed me a key and she was a lock.

the moment she sat next to me, she opened with an ear splitting

click.

like the watch on my wrist whose numbers meant nothing,

everyone else ceased to exist.

the matter of the conversation, i don't recall.

what i do remember, though, was her smile.

that eye-crinkling, teeth-flaunting grin

that rang louder than my recent relationship split.

Khiara and i haven't split since that day.

i haven't ceased smiling since that day.

i think i like her — sometimes.
