《Don't Forget Me-Matthew Espinosa》Chapter 2

Did I really just say that out loud? I mean I was thinking it, but didn't mean to actually say it!
I looked over a McKenna and saw her already looking at me with wide eyes.
Her cheeks then started turning a light shade of rosy red. It was kinda cute.
But then I reminded myself that I can't like Mckenna.
"You should talk."
Wait? Did I just hear him right? Did Matthew Espinosa just stick up for me?! Wow, this day should be recorded in history or something!
He hasn't done anything like that in the past 2 years!
Then that's when I felt it. I felt the blood surge through my body all the way up to my cheeks. No, no. This means I'm blushing, blushing over something Matt said.
This can't mean what I think it means.. Can it?
No. No. No.
I think for a second. Remembering what we once had.
"Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" Matt asked looking into my blue eyes as I looked into his brown ones.
I giggled and responded "Only about a million times."
"Well it's true" he leaned in to kiss me as I leaned in too. Our lips met and all I could feel were sparks.
We both pulled away and he smiled.
Then he grabbed my hand and started pulling me outside.
"Where are we going?" I asked pretty confused.
"You'll see." he responded.
We walked a good 15 minutes until we reached where he was going.
It was A.K.'S Ice Cream Parlor!
The place where we had our first date.
"O MY GOSH MATT!" I exclaimed running in with him.
We ordered our ice cream and waited patiently. When we got our ice cream, we sat down.

As we were eating Matt said "You have something on your face".
"Where?" I asked.
"Right there!" he said shoving ice cream on my face.
"MATT!" I screamed causing everyone to look at us.
He just laughed really hard.
"Love ya babe." He exclaimed running out of the parlor, leaving me to chase him.
I smiled remembering my first love. I was only in seventh grade but it didn't matter.
I loved him.
I shuttered remembering why we broke up.
"Babe, please just come to this party." Matt was on his knees begging me.
"I don't know Matt. You and I both know that there will be alcohol and drugs and who knows what else." I stated trying to get out of this party badly.
"You don't know that. And if there is than we can leave, Ok?" He was still begging.
"Ok." I reluctantly agreed.
He stood back up and kissed me. "I love you so much." He said after he pulled away.
"Mhm." I said running upstairs to get ready.
I got ready pretty fast and we left. We rode our penny boards to where the party was held considering we don't own cars because we are only in 8th and 9th grade. The party was held at Matthew's friend Nate's house.
When we arrived, there were already a ton of people there. We walked inside and the smell of smoke and alcohol was so strong I almost puked. I saw beer bottles laying on the floor and cigarette butts laying scattered around too.
"We're leaving." I said sternly turning to Matt.
"It's not like were gonna drink." He snapped.
I was kind of shocked. My boyfriend wanted to stay at a party with smoking, alcohol, and most likely drugs?

Oh hell no.
"Please baby? Just ten minutes?" He begged.
I figured that since we came all this way we might as well stay 10 minutes.
"Fine. Ten minutes." I replied.
I walked over to the table with drinks and I grabbed a coca cola.
I turned around and Matt was no longer standing where he was before.
Oh great.
I looked around. He was no where to be found.
I decided to wait for 10 minutes to see if he would come back to where I was.
Ten minutes turned into an hour and to say the least I was terrified and furious at the same time.
I decided to start looking again.
I checked the whole first floor and couldn't find him.
I went upstairs.
I walked into the first room. Ew. He definitely wasn't in there.
I walked into the next room. Nope.
Finally I walked into the last room.
There in that room, was the love of my life and Jennifer Waters.
Kissing.
They looked at me. Matt jumped up.
"Babe let me explain!" He started.
"Don't call me babe!" I screamed at him. "Why would you do this to me?!" I asked still screaming.
"I was-" I cut him off.
"Matthew Lee Espinosa. Have you been drinking?" I asked as I smelled the alcohol in his breath.
"Um no?" He answered almost as a question.
"We are done. Don't ever talk to me again. I hate you." I said and ran off.
