《Super Smash Bros Brawl University》Chapter Seventeen: Unjust Life

(A/N) So this chapter kinda rewinds back before everyone got recruited and stuff and it's at Hyrule where Zelda is. Just to let everyone know. Oh and go ahead and play the video in the media. It's a song that kinda gets the depressing vibe going.
Zelda didn't know how long she'd been crying for, but it felt like a long time. She and Link hadn't even been going out very long, but she felt this special connection with him. She felt this fire ignite when they kissed before the break. He was special...she knew that.
She cried because she couldn't be with Link. The one she felt such a special connection with. She cried because her father wanted her to marry some douche. She cried because it all just felt so unfair. She didn't understand. Why. Why did this happen to her?
When she left for break, she was perfectly happy and content with her life. Now, she was so sad. Even a little angry. She shouldn't even be getting this emotional, but she was. She couldn't help the tears that streamed down her face. She couldn't control them. She couldn't control any of it. Not the tears, not the lump in her throat, nor the ache in her chest.
Link was going to fight for her. She knew that. That's why she couldn't stay on the phone with him any longer. It hurt too much.
She refused to see or speak with anyone. Not her father, not her closest servants, not anybody. Her dad could easily get in. All he had to do was get the spare key. He was probably giving her space. If he did come in, she wouldn't talk to him. She'd lay face down on her bed and ignore every word.

Link called. She declined it. She didn't want to discuss the break up. She didn't want to negociate with her father. She didn't even want to hear Link say it was okay. It wasn't. A notification informed her he left a voicemail. She couldn't bring herself to listen to it. She hesitated, but then quickly hit the delete button.
A little later her friends began to call. She ignored those too. Link probably told them. She didn't want to hear them asking her why or trying to convince her to take back her mistake. She couldn't. She had to go through with this break up. As much as it hurt. She lay staring at the ceiling. Every call she just let her phone ring. She never listened to any voicemail or read any of the constant texts.
Couldn't they leave her alone? Didn't they understand this hurt her as much as Link, if not more? With a spurt of anger at her friends, she grabbed her phone and chucked it across the room. It landed on the plush carpet with a soft thud. She let out a frustrated sigh.
Then the sobs started again. Why was she so damn miserable?
(A/N) Short I know. I know what you guys are thinking, Zelda's really dumb to delete the voicemail and ignore all her friends calls and texts, but she's convinced that they want to just talk about the breakup so calm down. ;) Also, a little info, the song in the media is called Unjust Life, thus the title of this chapter. I don't know who it's by, but it's from the Anime show Angel Beats. :) Thanks for reading! :) Please vote, comment, and follow.

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…
