It's now been a while. We're now in the middle of the school year. School is almost already about to end! Which is crazy.
But lately, my relationship with my dad hasn't been the best. We don't talk as much, anymore. Our conversations aren't even genuine. And we haven't been spending time together, as much. He's turning more aggressive day by day.
And for school, It's been the same. Robin and I are still friends! I met Finney's sister, and she's really cool! We get along great. And for Robin, I still help him out with math. He comes over to my place, every week!
Sometimes on the weekends, we go together to the Drive-In. And watch movies together.
But as for the bullying, it's still happening. Every single day! Robin thinks the bullying has stopped sense, that's what I told him. But it hasn't! I just don't want to worry him, or get him involved.
Life lately has just been a struggle, if i'm being completely honest.
I finished eating my cereal, and cleaned up. About to go to my room to get ready for bed.
"Dad, I'm gonna get ready go to bed now...." I say, dad watching TV. He gets up, looking at my direction.
‼️
"" He says,
"No. No more, dad! That's enough. Don't you realize what you're doing?! To your own daughter?! ENOUGH! No more." I yell, backing up, clenching onto the kitchen table.
"You still don't know how to defend yourself. "
"Helping? No, you're hurting me! That's not "helping!!" I reply, tearing up.
""
I laugh, wiping away my tears.
"For my future?? Helping me? HELPING ME WITH WHAT?! You say that as if you have a clue to what's gonna happen in my future." I say,
"I do know what's gonna happen in your future. Because, . And yes, helping you. Helping you learn to defend yourself. For later. When you're older."

I smirk,
"And what's that? Bullies? To defend myself from them?"
"No....from " He says, causing me to get confused.
"From you? What? You're gonna be a threat to me, in the future? Is that it, dad??"
"Yes."
Him saying that gave me the chill's. What exactly does he mean by that? That's creepy....
"Now, no more chatting. It's time for your lesson, before going to bed." Dad says, pulling up his sleeve, grabbing the remote.
"No! Wait, NO MORE!!"
••••
"Good night. Sleep well."
"Okay. Goodnight, d-dad." I reply, brushing my teeth. Trying my best to calm myself down from crying. I finished, and began to get my bed ready. I can't. I couldn't hold it in, and began to cry again. Covering my mouth, so dad wouldn't hear.
I sit on the floor, hugging my legs, letting it all out.
My whole body hurt's....I don't know what to do.
WAIT.
I have Robin's phone number!
Maybe if he isn't asleep, yet. I could talk to him on the phone! For a bit, maybe? It's the weekend, so why would he be asleep right now?
I immediately get up, dialing his number 😗I put the phone on my ear, hoping he'll pick up. After a while, he finally picks up the phone.
"Y/N??"
He picked up!
I clear my throat, trying to calm myself down.
"Hey, Robin....."
"Hey? Why you up late? Boutta pull an all-nighter, without me?? WOW...." He say's, making me laugh.
"I'm not. I just called because I wanted to....talk with someone."
"Ohh? You good?"
"Ya! I'm fine. I was just asking if maybe....I don't know."
"Please, tell." I smile,
"If maybe monday, can I come over to your place to do homework? If that's okay? SORRY-"

"Hm? No, ya!! Sure! Sounds like a plan." Robin say's.
"Thanks, Robin."
"For what? Whatever you want, I'm okay with."
"Thanks. Well, I'm gonna go to bed now. It's pretty late."
"LATE?? It's barely twelve! It's not late. But okay okay, sounds good." He says, making me laugh.
"Okay. Night, Robin."
"Good night, N/N." I hang up the phone. Walking to my bed, about to get in. But stop.
Need to start defending yourself, Y/N!
Stand up for yourself!
Those words repeating in my head. I look at my fist, and throw a punch at the air. I do it again, and again. And again. Staying up all night, learning how to throw a punch.

The Shadow Paradigm - Book 1: Project Orb Weaver

But when they encounter the mysterious Shiakar Paradigm Society, a clash of paradigms ensues. Although both groups are aiming to make humanity stand stronger, their ideals and methods could not be further apart. Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple
