Cohen's POV:
The teacher said we where having a new student. I put my hoodie over my head because I did not get much sleep last night so I was tired. I didn't notice who walked in besides it was a girl because I could hear her heels on the floor.
Teacher: we have a new student today class. Naya please stand up.
Part of me wished it was Naya from back home. But surely it wasn't. She was back in Florida with her family. Well I was stuck here in California. Then she spoke. She said she'd rather sit and she said her name was Naya. She also said she does Tik Tok and Instagram. Part of me was hopeful but then I remembered almost everybody does Tiktok and Instagram. Then she said something that made it sound like she was famous on there but maybe she's just stuck up.
She didn't sound like Naya. Her voice was deeper more mature. But then again I haven't seen Naya in 5 years.Wow Cohen. You're so head over heels for this girl, that you think every girl named Naya that does Tik Tok Instagram is her.
I looked up. My breath had left my lungs. My soul had left my body. I was like a ghost. I couldnt speak and I was frozen. It was her. It was Naya. My Naya.
I looked down before she could see me. I took into my flight mode and quickly asked to use the restroom. As soon as the teacher said my name I saw Naya's face go into shock aswell. Did she even remember me? I rushed to the bathroom.
Cohen to himself in the bathroom mirror: Get it together Cohen.
Cohen: But Its her. Its really her.
Cohen: what do I say? Do I say anything at all?

Cohen: AHHH Cohen! Ur such a mess.
Cohen: I mean U havent talked to a girl in 5 years>
Cohen: Do I be charming or play it cool. Or just ignore her.
I walked out of the restroom and back to the hall. Then she came out of the door. I quickly turned around but she had already saw me.
Naya: Cohen?
I turned around slowly.
Naya: COHEN!!!
She came and jumped on me into a hug. I had missed this. I had missed her. Everything about her. But she was different. She was an adult now. She had changed her hair color to black. Her voice was deeper. She was more mature too.She did not smell like strawberries anymore. Instead she smelt of some sort of expencive perfume. She was taller and looked older too.
Naya: Cohen what- what are doing here?
Cohen: I could ask you the same thing?
Naya: Well the teacher said I was a student did she not?
Cohen: oh yeh.
Naya: what abt you? when did you get to Cali?
Cohen: 2 years ago.
Naya: wow. U have changed alot.
Cohen: U have too. In a good way ofc.
Naya: thx.
It was awkward. She did not look at me the way she used to before. Now she looked at me like a old friend. Instead of an old boyfriend. Wich part of me enjoyed but the other half did not.
Cohen: sooo Ur famous now huh?
Naya: Ha. sort of:)
Cohen: Tell me abt ur friends in Florida. I saw one of ur friends I think his name was Zachary. On ur social media account.
Naya: Oh. Zach.Yeh. He. well. He isnt my friend.
Cohen: Oh. Im sorry what happened?
Naya: No not like Cohen.......Hes my boyfriend.

All this time......he was her boyfriend. I bet she never even thought about me while I was gone. She moved on. Meanwhile I was head over heels for some girl who only thought of me as a friend. Now I know how she must have felt while I was with Emma.
Cohen: Oh. cool.
Naya: hbu? Do u have a girlfriend? Or are u talking to anyone?
Cohen: Oh no. Im not.
Naya:oh.
It was even more awkward now.
Cohen: so do u have any plans for after school? Yolu can come hang in my doorm if you want.Or I could come to ur doorm?
Naya: Actually, I am hanging out with the Sway boys after school. And I have a house here. Not a doorm.
Cohen: Oh. I guess you really are famous. Hanging out with the most famous tiktok boys. Does anyone else live with you?
Naya: nope. just me lol:)
Cohen: Oh cool. Well I guess I will see you around Naya.
Naya: wait Cohen.
Cohen:yeh?
Naya: do u? Do u wanna come over to the sway house with me?
Cohen: Im not famous Nay. Do u think they will be ok with it?
Naya: eh. Thell be fine. If there not okay then we will leave. No Cohen. Then No Nay.
Cohen: Ok sounds cool.
Naya: Meet me in the parking lot. Ill drive.
Cohen: Ok thx Nay. Bye.

Exponential Mana Regeneration
When the Change occurred, humanity suddenly found itself with superhuman constitutions and the ability to use mana. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)

I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth. Having studied profusely and written many papers published by large firms he was well-respected and accomplished in his field. But that did not prevent him from having his own problems in his personal life. Having chased behind the back of science for so long he had neglected his social life, ending up lonely and without a partner in his early twenties coming out of his studies. He decided that the best way for him to rekindle his social prowess was to retire to teaching high school science in a small town. He never ended up falling in love as he dreamed but he did find surprising contentment from dealing with the troubled raccoons he taught on a daily basis. Finding himself summoned to a strange world by unknown forces he is confronted with harsh issues and the struggles of its people. Meeting many more problem children, he is moved by his sense of duty to help them find their path in this journey through life.
