Is it weird

to feel a color? 

for today I feel green 

though I can't explain why 

I suppose it's a feeling 

of trying to express my ways 

my self 

my innermost emotions 

but that sound odd, does it not? 

I simply feel like a color today 

and it happens to be green 

like the dark green of a forest 

and the light shade of the inside

of an avocado 

it is strange, to feel a color 

even stranger to feel green 

but I suppose I have always felt this way 

a forest green 

an avocado lime 

a midnight blue 

all at the same time 

I shall admit, I'm not used to it 

even though I've always felt this 

I think, I guess, I suppose 

but all I know for right now 

is that it is strange 

to feel a color 

and for that color 

to be green
