In my mind is a cruel place

I'm glad I did it, become empty, fragile

If this is how life must be lived

I don't care, so be it

Indoors is all I know now

It's consumed all thoughts, all feeling

I like this, feeling nothing

Is peaceful, though so lonely

Incapable of crying, or screaming

Inside, I can't smile either so

If this is the life I must live

I'll miss smiling, laughing

Ill-tempered sometimes

Is better than always being

Insufferable, not able to enjoy

Ice cream or other simple delights so

If this is how I survive

I'd rather be dead than empty
