《Troubled // Irondad》21

Peter stumbled his way over to a long bar, flinching when anything or anybody touched him, and leaned onto the counter. A waiter came by and asked if he wanted anything to drink.
"Water," Peter managed to make it audible over the loud noises. Maybe he just needed water and to relax a bit.
When he got the water, he chugged it. Everything just seemed to be getting worse. His senses were going haywire. Why does this have to happen now?
He began feeling nauseous and asked the waiter where the bathroom was. Everything was stressing him out. So many different sounds and smells and lights. 'Maybe I should find Tony,' he thought to himself while trying not to trip.
'No don't that, this is a big night for him,' his mind replied. He finally found the bathroom and just about fell into a stall. Peter quickly slumped over the toilet and puked up any food he ate that day.
His head still pounded from any little noise that was made. The sink water running, the hand dryers, foot steps, it all hurt him. He couldn't help the tears that started falling. The bathroom definitely wasn't a good place to go with his enhanced sense of smell, it made him puke one more time.
He held his arm at his nose when he finished throwing up to try and block any smell out. He also didn't dare open his eyes. If they met the bright bathroom light, it would feel absolutely awful.
"Hey man, you ok?" A random voice rang through Peter's head. He cringed at the sound and grunted from the pain it caused. Peter could feel the man take a step closer. "Do you want me to get someone or...?"
Peter cringed again but replied, "I want my dad." He sat down the floor and turned sideways, still hovering over the toilet just in case.

The man caught a glimpse of Peter's face and knew who he was, "stay here." He then ran out of the bathroom and told one of the guards about what was going on. The guard spoke into his radio to give orders to find Tony Stark.
Peter stayed laying over the toilet with closed eyes. He was trying his best to hold back throwing up again. The pain in his head was almost getting too much to handle, if the rate of his pain kept increasing like it was now it would soon be unbearable.
He just wanted it to stop. More tears streamed down his pale cheeks.
When Tony was alerted about Peter needing his help, he dropped whatever conversation he was having. His immediate thought was a panic attack and if he was alone and freaking out with so much going on that could not be good.
They security guard told Tony where he was said to be and Tony dodged anyone getting in the way from him to the bathroom. Once he entered he made his way down the long hall of stalls, frantically looking in each one.
He finally found Peter in one and sitting on the floor. He didn't seem like he was having a panic attack. Last time when Tony saw him have a panic attack he was clearly flipping out. Now he just seemed in pain.
Peter looked pale and was crying. Tony could see that he threw up at least once. Maybe he was sick?
Peter flinched when there was a soft hand on his shoulder. He should've heard someone coming close to him but his mind was chaotic at the moment.
When he flinched, his eyes opened out of reflex. It felt horrible. He yelped in agony while cover his eyes with his hands.
"Peter what's going on?" Tony's voice boomed in the kid's ears and Peter grunted.
"Please be quiet," Peter whispered so softly, trying not to be rude.

Tony brought his voice down to the same volume Peter used, "come on let's go home."
Peter shook his head. He felt like if he got up his head was going to explode. Tony got up and turned off the lights in the bathroom, thankfully nobody else was in there. He was catching on that it probably had something to do with his senses.
"You can open your eyes. The lights are off," Tony whispered while kneeling back down next to him.
Peter was scared to at first, but he trusted his dad. Slowly, he opened his eyes and met them with Tony's.
"When we get out of here, cover your ears and close your eyes. Also try not to puke in my car it's one of my favorites," Tony spoke softly. That earned a smile from Peter. "Close your eyes."
Peter did as told and Tony pulled out his phone to text Happy. When he was finished, Peter opened his eyes again and stood up slowly. "Happy's waiting for us and we're gonna run ok?"
The kid replied with a nod and began to follow Tony. Tony held one of his arms to direct him through everything while Peter's eyes were closed. Many people tried stopping them, but they rushed out before the actually were stopped.
Tony practically shoved Peter to get in the back seat and jumped in after him. "Happy go home and turn the music off."
Happy was confused but didn't question it right now. Peter kept his ear covered though and just leaned his forehead on Tony's shoulder.
The car ride didn't seem long, probably because Happy was going really fast. But as soon as the car stopped Tony led Peter up to his room.
"Karen lights off," Tony instructed. The room plunged into darkness and Tony almost tripped over Peter's backpack. "Ok just make them really dim Karen."
Now Tony could at least see where he was going. Tony sat Peter down on the bed and told him he could open his eyes. At that, the boy lowered his hands and opened his teary eyes. He felt better now that he was in a dark, quiet room. He took his nice jacket off and set it to the side to make himself more comfortable.
Peter felt bad about making Tony leave something as important as his event. He really had to mess something else up? Good work Peter.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.
Tony sat down on the edge of his bed and realized Peter still had shoes on. "Planning on sleeping with those?"
Peter shook his head no and flung them off, jumping slightly from the sound when they hit the floor.
"Anyways don't be sorry," Tony said with his voice still gentle. "That party was lame and I shook too many wrinkly, clamy hands. I almost joined you in your throw up fest."
Peter laughed softly, forgetting a little about his throbbing head.
"Do you know what happened?" Tony asked, wanting to know exactly what was wrong.
"I think something with my senses. Everything just went crazy. A sensory overload I guess," Peter shrugged.
Tony nodded and looked down as if he were thinking. "I'll make sure no one comes in. Get some sleep kid hopefully you'll feel better tomorrow."
"Can you come to training tomorrow? I wanna show you my webs," Peter asked with a yawn following.
"Yeah sure thing," Tony had a small smile. "Goodnight Peter."
Peter's eyes were already shut when he mumbled back, "Goodnight dad."
Tony put a blanket over him and shut the lights off all the way. When he closed Peter's door behind him, he couldn't help the big smile that found its way to his face.
