The first sense that returned to Frodo was his hearing, the sound of twittering birds filling the air and the breeze blowing in the trees. He simply had to open his eyes and see where he was. When he did so, the face of a man he thought dead appeared in front of him.

"Gandalf?" The old wizard smiled and began to laugh, and Frodo soon joined him. The sound must have drawn the attention of others, as two other hobbits soon entered, jumping onto the bed and attacking Frodo with hugs. Merry and Pippin, Frodo was glad to say, had not changed too much. Perhaps they never would, and perhaps that was a good thing.

Gimli came next, exclaiming joyfully to see the hobbit awake and moving again.

Legolas followed him, as elvish as ever, and both elf and hobbit smiled to see each other well.

Aragorn appeared next, looking very different from the ranger he had first met in Bree, and yet still exactly the same. He smiled at Frodo, and the hobbit grinned back at him, glad to see his friend so happy. Then, Aragorn turned back to the door, confusing the young Baggins, and held out his hand. Before Frodo could ask any questions, the hand of a woman slid into that of the king-to-be, and he could merely stare in utter shock as she entered the room.

Miriel smiled widely at him, and his shock turned to joy. He had thought her dead, and learning otherwise made him happier than he could ever remember being. Then, she looked to the door, rolled her eyes, and reached out through the doorway. She pulled another man inside, and his shock and joy multiplied as he saw Boromir looking back at him, smiling rather sheepishly and apologetically.

The Fellowship was reunited, all of them once again in the same room, and Frodo felt at peace.

The courtyard outside the throne room in Minas Tirith was full of people, with nearly no room to move. Aragorn stood on the steps to the hall, Gandalf holding the crown high above the man's head.

"Now come the days of the King!" He called in a loud voice. Gandalf lowered the crown onto Aragorn's head, and speaks in a more reserved tone, really meant for the king himself. "May they be blessed." Aragorn nodded to his old friend, and then turned to the assembled crowd.

"This day does not belong to one man, but to all! Let us together rebuild this world, that we may share in the days of peace." The people cheered and clapped, and then looked up in wonder as pale petals began to fall down upon them, seemingly from nowhere. Though the mischievous look on Gandalf's face gave a hint as to their mysterious origin. Aragorn began to sing, and the people quieted to listen. It was the song of Elendil, in the language of the elves who had come.

"Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta." He walked down into the crowd as he sang, passing friends and allies. Faramir and Eowyn, hands clasped together, bow low, and he returns it with and nod and teasing glance at their hands, happy for them. Eomer, now King of Rohan, steps forward and bows low, receiving a nod and look of gratitude in return. Boromir, now Steward, and Gimli, Lord of Moria, bowed to their friend, and he placed his hands on their shoulders, smiling at them as they stood. He reached the end of the open space, and the elves in attendance moved towards him, Legolas at the front. He placed a hand on his friend's shoulder, and Legolas reciprocated the gesture.

"Hannon le." Legolas smiled at him, and indicated for Aragorn to look to his left. The king did so, and was greeted with Miriel standing in a gown that looked as though it had been woven using the sky at daybreak. Blue, gossamer-like fabric covered her body, and beads of pink and yellow were woven throughout and glistened as she stepped forward. Legolas chuckled at his friend's lovestruck expression.

"Yadan ed, mellonin." Aragorn stepped toward Miriel as if in a daze, taking her hands in his own. Feeling their familiar presence calmed his racing heart as he looked into her eyes. The calm seas to his raging storm, sparkling joyfully as he smiled at her.

"Miriel." He began softly. "I love you with everything I have to give. Will you stay by my side and reign with my as my queen, meleth-nin?" Her smile matched his as she nodded, tears of happiness sparkling in her blue eyes.

"Until the day we depart this life, my love." A ring flashed silver in the light of midday, and the King gathered his love into his arms and kissed her deeply, not caring that they stood before the whole kingdom and her brothers. Cheers erupted, and their friends smiled happily, Elrond clapping as hard as any other in the crowd. The two moved on hand in hand, and finally reached the hobbits. The halflings began to bow, but Aragorn's hand and voice stopped them.

"My friends." They looked up, and saw the kind smiles of their friends. "You bow to no one." Aragorn knelt in unison with the queen-to-be, and the people followed suit.
