《Always Knew You'd Come Back - Dunclet and Kladora》The Horrible Truth

"No, no, no, not Violet, what did she do to deserve this?!"
Beatrice sobbed into Bertrand's shirt, obviously very upset. "I thought we swore to get them away, raise them safely, and she still ended up in the clutches of Count Olaf!" Quinten paced around the room in a circle. "Karen, how's that letter coming?"
"Alright. Duncan, are you okay?"
Klaus and Isadora sat frozen on the bed holding Sunny, tear stricken and shocked that one of their own kin would do this. Someone Klaus once considered a friend. Someone that Duncan and Isadora once considered a brother. Someone Violet once considered a lover. But not anymore. Duncan locked himself in the bathroom the moment they arrived, leaving Klaus and Isadora to recount the terrible tale of Violet's kidnapping and Quigley's betrayal to VFD and the family name. "Okay, Quinten, I finished writing the letter. Sign it and then we'll get someone to deliver it." Karen crossed the room to get to the bathroom. She knocked on the door. "Duncan, sweetie? Do you want to talk to me?"
"Oh, honey. It'll be okay, don't cry. I know that Violet wouldn't want you to cry."
Duncan fell asleep, alone as his mother turned out the light.
Karen returned to the living room where the adults were drinking tea. "I know why Duncan's like this now." Bertrand looked up. "Why then, Karen?" She sucked in a breath. "Apparently he has a huge crush, and he asked Violet on the mission to be his girlfriend and she accepted." Beatrice stayed quiet. "She's old enough, isn't she? At least it's not a proposal, Bea." She nodded. "Good point. Well, we do need someone to deliver the letter, so..." Beatrice's gaze slid to Isadora, who had been patiently writing couplets. "Karen?"

Karen looked up. "Oh, Isadora? Well, she trained in martial arts as well as poetry, you know, for self-defence? She should be able to. Isadora? Can you come here for a moment?"
Quigley paced around the room, watching Violet warily to make sure she didn't try to escape. There was a click and the door opened. A tall brunette strutted into the room, tugging a bruised, bloodied girl behind her. "Isadora?"
Isadora had arrived at the kidnapping place. Ringing the doorbell, she began sweating under her disguise but for a different reason. The fifteen-year old in front of her with luscious dark-brown hair pulled in a ponytail and a black bodysuit quickly realised who she was. "Isadora."
"Cassie. Why are you here?"
"I joined VFD. The fire-starting side, of course." She kneed Isadora in the stomach, and a fight ensued. It had taken three tranquilliser darts to take her down, and she had just begun to wake up. "QUIGLEY MICHAEL QUAGMIRE!" She yelled, and thrust a letter at him. "Why the hell is Duncan's yandere ex here?" Quigley shrugged it off. "Oh, she started training the day we kidnapped Violet." Isadora huffed. "Fine. Anyway, mom and dad sent you a letter." He opened the letter, noticing something off. That's funny. Everything Mom and Dad sends me has the family crest. He opened it and started to read.
QUIGLEY MICHAEL QUAGMIRE!
How DARE you kidnap Violet Baudelaire! Why? Tell me why you joined Esme's side of VFD! You used to be honourable. Brave. Courageous. Now, we don't recognise you anymore, scum of the earth. This is unforgivable and a disgrace to the family name. Thanks to you, your sister and brother are both in depression, Duncan's having suicidal thoughts, and your sister, well, she's not doing any better. Self-harm sound familiar to you? Hmm? Klaus's changing, Isadora's sunk into depression because of that, and Sunny and Victoria aren't doing any better. For now, consider yourself disowned. Don't EVER use the family name Quagmire again. Don't try contacting us, or calling us your family. Forget about 'Mom' and 'Dad'. You're not the Quigley we knew anymore.

Furiously,
Karen and Quinten
Quigley tucked the letter in his pocket, quietly thinking to write a response. "Isadora's staying here." He muttered quietly, and tied her to the chair along with Violet. "Perfect." Suddenly, Violet woke up. "Quigley? Who's that?" She gestured to Cassie. "Oh, me. Guess what? I'm Duncan's ex, and his childhood crush. Until he left me for you. Word of warning, I'm telling you now, that I'm a yandere, and a serious one...." She raised the blade of the crystal-handled steel knife toward Violet's arm. There was a flash, and crimson-red blood dripped down her arm, staining her fancy ball gown from the mission. Violet gritted her teeth. "Go on. I'm never renouncing Duncan." Cassie smirked. "Oh, this was never about Duncan. This was about years and years of love for me, all thrown away because of you. So, consider this revenge." She dragged the knife across her cheek, blood dotting her line of vision. All the way down both cheeks. She struggled to keep the tears in. It'll be okay. It's going to be okay.
But she knew, deep down in her heart, that nothing would be okay.
A thin stream of blood leaked down her neck.
