《Wake Up 3 ~ Alone (Original Stories by AllTimePhan73)》Chapter 17- Sleep (A)

I tucked Mark in before slowly closing the door, trying not to disturb him. Surprisingly, the Uber driver didn't even take a second glance when he saw me attempting to get an unconscious person into the car. I guess he gets a lot of sleep deprived people from the Hospital.
I returned to my guest room and sat at the desk, taking a moment to breathe.
"You should try to get some sleep too," I heard from behind me. I turned around to see Anti leaning against the dresser.
"I'm fine. I just need to figure out a way to get Ethan out of there," I replied, not even believing myself.
"We both know that's not true. You've barely had any more sleep than Mark. We need to figure things out, but that won't happen if you don't sleep."
Silence filled the room.
"How is Blank?" I asked, changing the topic.
Anti gave me an annoyed look, but answered none the less, "He's getting weaker. He can barely materialize now. He keeps trying to contact Ethan, but he isn't responding. It's using up all of Blank's remaining power. I'm worried."
"Can I see him?" I questioned.
"I'm not sure." He hasn't been coming out of the demon world.
I thought for a second. "Would it be possible to share my energy with him?"
"Maybe. I will have to figure out if that is possible." Anti smiled at me before speaking, "In the mean time, you should get some rest."
I nodded, and just like that, he was gone. The room felt empty and cold. I missed the presence of Anti. Over the past couple of years, I had grown closer to him. We shared our secrets, and he even taught me some self-defense incase I ever needed it.

I laid down and closed my eyes, but all I could see was Ethan's beautiful face filled with tears as he let go of the fence. My hand reached for him, but I missed. That second was the scariest second in my entire life before Mark grabbed a hold of his shirt. I thought that was going to be the end. What would I have done if Mark had missed too? The scene played on repeat in my head like a broken record. As much as I tried to focus on something else, I couldn't get it out of my mind.
Just as I started to slip into a dream, there was a knock on the door. I jumped awake as Mark entered the room.
"Sorry, did I wake you? I didn't mean to."
"No, no, I was just thinking," I lied.
"Oh, well I got a call from the hospital."
"What did they say?" I questioned, worried.
My anxiety was soothed as Mark's lips formed a soft smile. "Ethan moved his hand."

Unspoken is a book filled with poems and songs I've made throughout my life. Each chapter will be either a song or poem. They are similar to what many of you have experienced in life... featuring love, heartbreak, loneliness, etc. These are all the emotions I was never able to let out so I chose to write them out on paper.
