Ethan hunched over, grabbing his abdomen in pain. The repeated kicks had made it feel as though a rib had broken.
"Please, stay strong Ethan. You have to keep going while we figure out a way to get you out of there!" Blank's words rang through Ethan's mind.
Blank wasn't able to enter the dream-like state, but was still able to speak every so often. It took a lot of energy and power to get the words into Ethan's head, but Blank made sure to check in on Ethan every so often. The problem was Ethan wasn't able to communicate back.
"Don't listen to him, Ethan," Dark whispered, kneels next to Ethan. "He doesn't know only one of us can escape. And I am planning on keeping it that way. Luckily for us, once you are dead, he will be gone as well."
Tears streamed down Ethan's face, a mixture of physical and emotional pain. He had tried everything, from breaking down the invisible wall to fighting back. All of it had failed, and just ended Ethan in more pain.
"You're a pitiful little bitch, Ethan," Dark stated before walking out.
Ethan rolled into a ball, just wanting the torture to end. He wasn't sure how long he had been stuck in the coma. Ethan was able to make it through a couple of hours, but he had never had to deal with days of this. He wanted so much to give in and just let himself go. He didn't care about anyone else anymore. Not even Mark. He knew his death would cause them pain, but he couldn't bring himself to care. All Ethan could think about was disappearing into the darkness for the final time. To his disappointment, this never came. He was stuck with Dark, and he would have to get used to it.
