"Ethan are you okay?" Mark asked, holding Ethan and stroking his hair to clam him down. Chica came over and snuggled with them.
Ethan composed himself, but let Mark continue to stroke his hair. "I am fine. It was just a flashback. I will be fine."
"Ethan. You shouldn't be going through this alone. We are hear for you. Just talk to us."
Mark hugged Ethan for a while, and they walked back to the kitchen. Sean looked concerned.
"What happened? You two were gone for a long time."
"Ethan had another flashback." Mark explained.
"Oh." Sean walked over and gave Ethan a hug. "I am sorry. I didn't know this all impacted you so much. It makes sense. You went through so much and fought it all by yourself. I don't know how. You are so strong." He stepped back. "I finished breakfast."
Ethan paced back and forth. "What do I do?" He questioned himself. "They are going to figure it out. I now they are. I don't know how to hide it."
"You will figure out how to hide it, or there will be consequences. Don't try me," Ethan heard in a deep voice at the back of his mind.
"I am trying. I don't know what to do." Ethan started crying.
"Ugh. You seriously can't even go one second without turning into a fucking child, can you?"
"I am sorry!" he sat in the corner of his room and cried. He felt himself start to drift off to sleep, but he didn't want to face Dark again. Ethan stood up and started doing exercise to wake himself up.
"What are you doing?" Mark asked, coming into his room.
"Oh- I am just exercising. It helps my ADD. You know."
"Can I join you?"
"Sure." Ethan didn't know why Mark wanted to do exercise with him, but he didn't want to pass up an opportunity to spend time with Mark. "About earlier-" Ethan started.
"It is fine. We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," Mark cut him off.
"Thank you.

Author's note: I love the idea of kingdom-building novels and think the genre has a lot to offer, but I don't think many authors do them very well. Here is my attempt. The novel has a strong focus on politics and kingdom building, with occasional action and a bit of humor. Have fun. Cover was made by MrZombie Updates three times a week. First ever time writing so I'll definitely be listening to any constructive criticism you guys have to offer. I'll even pay attention to straight up criticism if I can see some merit in it. I hope you all enjoy.
