"You'll never catch me!" I shouted. "Yeah right!" He said grabbing my arms. I giggle and drop to the ground. I notice a tiny cashew hit the ground. "Oh no, he's back." I say I a more serious tone. "Who?" The boy asked. "Matthew." I say. My small seven year old hands picked up the cashew. I see Matthew in front of us. "What are you doing?" He asked. We both shrugged. "You two live birds, get a room. Oh that's right you both couldn't fit in a room."
"What's that supposed to mean?" The boy asked.
"You need to lose some baby fat."
"Well at least I don't act like a baby."
"Shut up baby." Matthew says, "You need your bottle."
I see a nearby pebble. I quickly grab it and throw it at him. "Go away!" I yell. "Trust me I'll be back."
"What a meanie." I say. The key nods. "Yeah."
Seven years later
"Text me when you get there." I say. "I will I promise."
"You better."
"Bridget?"
"Yeah?"
"I Uh I think I might like you."
"Well I like you too."
"No I mean, not as friends."
"Oh. Uh Gavin, there's something I should say, I don't really know how to say it though."
"Just tell me."
"I think I might love you."
"You know what Bridget?"
"What?"
"I know I love you."
Gavin turns toward me and looks deep in my eyes. I gently touched my face and I feel like the whole world stopped for a second. Just us two. Forever. He leans in to kiss me. It's gentle and quick. But I kiss back.

"GAVIN!" I hear his mom yell.
"It's time for me to go."
"Gavin."I hug him so that I can smell his scent. Maybe I'll always remember it.
"Bye. I'll text you as much as possible."
"Okay. Bye."
BUZZ BUZZ
My alarm goes off and I slam it down. What a weird dream, or flashback of me and Gavin. It's like I was taken back in time. To Matthew bullying us then the last time I would see Gavin again.
Hot, wet tears ran down my cheeks. I wiped them away and forgot about it. I couldn't think of Gavin today. Today would be a good day. Exciting. Adventurous. I look at my kitten calendar. Gavin's birthday. I couldn't be happy today. I think more and more about Gavin and all we had been through. I missed him so much.
I head to my fifth hour class where I have none of my friends in. I do have Matthew though. Great. I whip out my phone because I'm so bored. The teacher noticed. "Bridget may I have your phone. Uh you top Matthew." She says. My face turns red with anger. Gear now no entertainment! The bells rings and we're allowed to go. "Bridget, Matthew, your phones." She hands us each one. "Thanks." We day and whip out of there.
I pull the phone out and go to text messages. Only one problem not my texts. Not my apps. Not my phone. I must've accidentally have taken Matthews. Which means he took mine great! I run around like a chicken with my head cut off looking for him. I couldn't find him. So I be a bad girl and read his messages.

M: yeah I really like this girl at my new school. One problem. I knew her when we were young and I used to bully her.
N: idiot
M: yeah I know I'm a jerk too. If I could go back I would. I always liked her I just bullied her friend because I was jealous. I want to take that all back. I hate myself.
N: don't hate ur self ur alright now. Explain to her how u feel. That stuff really works.
"Uh Bridget I think I have your phone." Matthews voice breaks in.
"Yup. Here." I say giving him his phone.
"Thanks."
"Matthew!"
"Yeah."
"You know. If you ever want to tell me something you can. I'll listen."
"Okay."
I slam the door behind me and throw my backpack on the bed. No homework!!yay! I go to my laptop and start doing stuff in it. I was so bored. I take a look at my phone. Why didn't Matthew want to tell me that he likes me? Why didn't he just say so right then in there? He's confusing. I grab my phone and I see on the home screen something written in my notes. I go there to find...
Oh boy.
To: Matthew
B: I got ur message.
M: good. Now I have to tell u something.
B: what?
M: in person
B: k when
He's so weird. Why didn't he just tell me that when he saw me? Creep.
Suddenly I hear something ping my window. I go to it to find Matthew. "How about now?" He says. "Shh I'll let you in."
"Okay." I run down to the front door and open it to

Two Existentialists | S.R.
"How many existentialists does it take to screw a lightbulb?" Spencer asked with a small laugh. Once again the room was silent. You faintly heard Agent Rossi mutter, "Don't.""2. One to change the light bulb and one to observe how it symbolizes an incandescent beacon of subjectivity in a netherworld of cosmic nothingness," he said. The room was silent still, until you laughed. His eyes looked up at yours in confusion. "Wouldn't they sit in the dark and hope that the bulb decided to light again? An existentialist would never change the bulb. He would allow the darkness to exist," you questioned.-#1 #spencerreid#1 #mgg#1 emilyprentiss
