A/N: Here's part two! Stuff finally starts spicing up. Not sure when the last part will be since you know. I haven't written it. But I'm pretty sure I have a clear view of the climax and ending so shouldn't be too far away. Hope you enjoy!
Author's POV
By the time Mikey had gotten back to his lodge he found Kiara sitting in the living area with Simon right by her side.
Kiara stood up as soon as she saw him.
"Hey Mikey I got your text. I asked Simon about it and he said he could explain."
Simon then stood up.
"It's an annual hunt my family has. Nothing too big, we just hunt some turkeys and such."
"But I haven't seen any turkeys around", Mikey stated.
"There is a pen of them outside of here."
"But I heard your dad brought some but there weren't any with us."
"My father went out after we got here and bought some."
"How come this wasn't brought up before?"
"You've never been here before, so you would know nothing about it. Besides, it's strictly family members only."
Kiara looked between the two boys. Annoyance and frustration clear on both of their faces.
"Why don't we take a little hike to that koi pond Delilah mentioned earlier. Mikey, would you like to come?"
Figuring it was for the best to drop the subject, Mikey muttered okay.
"You go ahead, I have something I need to do." Simon said, waving them off.
The next day:
Mikey stumbled around the lodge doing his morning routine. He hadn't slept well last night. Too much going through his head. Despite a lack of evidence and everyone telling him nothing was wrong, he couldn't get that nagging suspicion out of his head. He thought back to yesterday. He just knew he had heard something that wasn't meant to be heard. Simon said it was no big deal but why did no one mention it? Later that day he had made Simon show him this apparent pen of turkeys. To which he only found himself embarrassed as Simon without hesitation led them to it. It was just as he said. A pen full of turkeys just outside the grounds. It didn't help that Kiara had been upset with him. Saying that he was paranoid for no reason and he was trying to put some kind of blame on her boyfriend for no real reason. Clara wasn't sympathetic either. She had brushed him off as well, saying just about the same things as Kiara.
Mikey eventually stumbled down to the living area. To which he was greeted with what he considered a disgusting sight. There Kiara and Simon were... kissing. Gentle and light at first but as soon as Mikey came into view Simon opened his eyes and directed them at him. With a smirk he deepened the kiss. Lips moved more roughly against each other. Kiara let out a small squeak from the sudden force but didn't open her eyes. Mikey knew he should've just left but he kept standing there. Eyes of anger locked with smug looking eyes. He continued to watch as Simon deepened the kiss more by inserting his tongue. Kiara decided against it though as her eyes flew open and she reached out her arms in an attempt to push him off. Her attempt failed when he caught them easily and pinned them over her head as he pushed her back down to the couch. Mikey snapped and in a second sprinted towards the two attempting to knock the boy off of her. Mikey knew Simon was physically capable but he didn't realize how physically capable he actually was until he felt a strong force hit him swiftly in his side and knock him back. Mikey flew to the side and knocked into a lamp which fell to the floor with a loud shatter. He sat there in astonishment. There was no way Simon was strong enough to kick him that far and hard, especially in that position. Yet he had seen in with his own two eyes. The way Simon had managed to lift up most of his body and deliver a quick and strong blow to his side with just one kick all while balancing on his hands on an uneven surface such as a couch. Mikey would've expected him to lose his balance and fall to the floor but it seemed he hadn't and instead had managed to pull back his body after hitting him and land back on the couch. All without touching Kiara. Mikey wasn't even sure it was humanly possible to do such a thing. He looked back over to Simon but he wished he hadn't when their eyes met. Simon almost looked like an animal. An animal that was standing over its weak little prey. His eyes looked like that of a wild lion who was about to go in for the final kill. He could even swear they were glowing a bit and that he could hear low growls. It wasn't until the sound of rushing footsteps upstairs could be heard that Simon got off Kiara.

"What in the hell happened here?", Mikey's dad asked.
His wife ran over to help her son up.
"That fucking psychopath kicked me nearly halfway across the room!"
Simon responded in a calm voice, the total opposite of how he had been just mere seconds ago.
"He was about to attack me and my girlfriend. What I did was simply in self defense."
Mikey's mom looked at him,"Well- I mean a bit but it was only be-"
"No excuses Mikey!", his father roared. "I can't believe you. I thought I raised you better than this."
"But-"
"Upstairs now!"
Seeing no way to disagree with his dad he simply lowered his head and quickly walked upstairs but not before catching Simon's smug smile.
"I apologize for my son's behavior. He's been on edge for most of this trip and I'm not sure why."
"It's fine, I'm sure this will all be sorted out by tomorrow."
Mikey's POV
My parents were now making me stay in this room so I could cool off, after they had yelled and lectured me of course. I couldn't believe that he had gotten off with nothing and that no one had questioned what he said. Something weird was going on here, something not right. Nothing seemed to really make any sense. I knew I wasn't crazy.... was I? Maybe Clara was right. Maybe I was just jealous.... I should probably apologize. To Kiara at least, I don't think I would have any dignity left if I had to apologize to Simon.
Walking around the upper floor of the lodge I realized I didn't remember which room was hers. 'Maybe I should do this another time', I thought to myself. That was until I realized there was a door part way open. Well maybe I would try my luck. Lightly kicking the door all the way open with my foot, I stuck my head in to see it wasn't Kiara's room. How could I tell? There wasn't a hoard of stuffed animals on the bed. Instead I noticed a black hoodie on the bed and some wood and tools on a nearby desk. Kiara mentioned how Simon did some wood carving so I wonder if this was his room. Seeing a phone also on the desk I picked it up and turned it on to see a picture of him and Kiara as his lock screen. I rolled my eyes. Yep, this is definitely his room.
Now any other day I would leave as snooping isn't cool. But this wasn't any other day. I was already in trouble, a little peeking here and there couldn't hurt anymore.
Opening drawers and looking through bags I found myself disappointed. It was all just typical stuff.
At this point I started questioning myself. Maybe Simon was a decent guy and I was the jerk? He did kick me across the room, but I was trying to attack him. Whelp, I really had nothing better to do so might as we'll check the closet. Opening it up it was fairly empty. Few more bags and boxes here. I was going to leave when I noticed a peculiar black case snuggly fit between some boxes with a bag on top, as if someone was trying to make sure it wasn't too noticeable. Moving them aside I opened up the box to find some.... odd items.
In the center a white mask with black lips lay. Surrounding it were knives. And on the inside of the lid a paper was taped. Mikey opened the paper only to be horrified. At the top of the paper in big bold letters there was the word "TURKEYS". Just below that there were multiple names and pictures listed, including his own and his parents. And below that there was a list of people labeled "POTENTIAL TURKEYS" that had Clara and her parents listed on it. Next to some of the names on the list there were small notes that said "Claimed by...." with some other names that Mikey recognized as Simon's family members.

Ha! He knew something was up. Wait, not ha. This was serious. He had to get himself, his family, friends, and their families out of here. But how? His parents would never listen. Maybe his friends would? But Clara definitely thought he was crazy and Kiara wasn't any better but maybe....
Forgetting to put certain things back he rushed out of the room.
Kiara's POV
I was pacing around outside. What was with Mikey? We've been best friends for years, he's never acted like this. Usually he was the logical one but he's been acting so paranoid lately. I was also kinda upset at Simon. He said it was in self defense but he didn't need to kick Mikey halfway across the room.
I didn't know what to do. It was like I was having to choose between my best friend and my boyfriend. Maybe I'm overthinking things. Maybe everything will just work itself out?
Speaking of the devil, here comes Mikey running up.
"K-Kiara... I ne- I need to.... tell you something.", he wheezed.
"What?"
"It's important, you need to come with me."
Grabbing my wrist he dragged me back over to our lodge and... into Simon's room. Oh no...
"Mikey, why are we in Simon's room?"
"Okay I finally have proof."
Proof of what?"
"I finally have proof that he isn't a good guy and doesn't have good intentions!"
"Mikey.... Look I really want to believe you, I really do... but- well you've just been acting so odd lately, I can't."
"Come on Kiara please, I promise you that this is both real and important."
Fine, but be quick. He won't like us snoo-"
"What are you doing here?"
"Simon, we-", I started.
Simon ignored and pushed past me.
"I'll ask again. What are you doing here?"
Mikey refused to back down and looked him straight in the eye.
"I'm here to prove that you don't actually have good intentions and that you're not the just great and amazing guy you pretend to be!"
"...What?"
Mikey swung open the closet door and started rummaging through what was there.
"Mikey!". I yelled but he ignored me. I couldn't believe he was doing this.
"What?! Where is it? It was here a minute ago I swear."
"Mikey! Stop just stop! If you don't actually want to be here, if you're just going to falsely accuse my own boyfriend... then just leave!"
Author's POV
Mikey watched as Kiara ran out of the room leaving him alone with Simon.
He stood there awkwardly not sure what to say. He could've sworn that.... but it was....
He turned his head when Simon let out a small chuckle.
"Wow, now that was really entertaining."
I just stared at him. Unsure of how to respond.
"You know, I thought you were going to be nothing but a nuisance this entire trip and admittedly you were but I haven't been this entertained in awhile."
"What are you talking about?"
Simon walked towards Mikey and started to slowly circle around me. Like a predator.
"Your pathetic attempts to expose me of course. Your attempt to hurt me only hurt yourself and your relationship with Kiara. You have no idea how hard it was to not burst with laughter."
"What do you want with Kiara?"
"Why, her and of course."
"No, what do you really want with her? I know you don't have good intentions and that you're not the perfect guy you pretend to be."
"My my, do I detect the venom of jealousy in your voice? Are you mad because Kiara chose me over you?"
"Maybe in the past I was but this is about protecting her. I know you're hiding something, and it's not anything good"
"Protecting her from what? Me? I wouldn't dare hurt my lovely doll. At least not a lot. Believe me I would prefer not to but if I must to make sure she stays mine... well then looks like I don't have a choice."
"I knew it. You're a manipulative psychopath. Just wait till I tell..."
"Who? Who are you going to tell? My precious Kiara? Your parents? That little friend of yours? From what I've seen they've all turned their back on you. You've labeled yourself nothing more than a paranoid jealous little boy who can't control his emotions."
Mikey stood there in silence. He didn't want to admit it but he knew Simon was right. Without any real evidence or proof they wouldn't listen.
"Oh and don't you dare bother to think about telling anyone else. It would only do you harm to alert any of my family that you know such things and with your little displays people have been talking about you. I doubt any of the mindless turkeys we brought along would believe you either."
Mikey continued to stand there. Not able to say a word. Simon smirked in triumph. He gave a short amused laugh.
"Well then if you have nothing more to say...."
"That doesn't mean I shouldn't try. Maybe you're right. Maybe people won't believe me but I'm not going to stand by and let you do this. I'll find a way to get everyone...."
Mikey stopped as he felt a sharp pain to the side of his neck.
"Tch, I was worried about that. I doubt your efforts would get you anywhere at this point but I can't risk it."
Mikey felt his body shut down. His legs wobbled a bit before falling to the floor. He tried to get up but found he could barely move.
"Admittedly, I respect your persistence. Maybe you're tougher than I thought. Annoying but it makes breaking you all the more fun."
Mikey struggled to keep his eyes open. He couldn't go out just yet. Not like this.
"Don't worry about your parents. I'll make sure they join you on the hunting grounds. You'll get to see them one last time at least. Well, if you don't die first that is."
Mikey kept fighting but knew he would lose consciousness soon. He had to keep fighting. He had to warn them, if not then....
"Oh and don't worry about Kiara. She'll be safe with me and my family."
Mikey's body finally went limp as his eyes closed. Simon's smile grew wider. It almost looked deranged. He couldn't wait for nightfall.
