《The Doll Family》Prologue

A dark figure stood over the corpse of a young girl. Her blackened body covered in stab wounds and burnt to almost a crisp. The figure let out a disappointed sigh as it pulled down its hood showing the face of a young man. A hand ran through his dark brown hair while his golden yet cold eyes stared down at the corpse. He bent down to look at her burnt almost unrecognizable face. His mind flashed to a time not too long ago. He recalled how she put on a disgusting display. Her ugly sobs had disgusted him and her high-pitched screams begging him for mercy annoyed him. So much that he believed his skull would shatter from it. Clicking his tongue he stood to leave her corpse, but not before giving her head a harsh stomp, breaking the skull in the process. He considered it a bit of payback for nearly breaking his with her screaming. He had dealt with quite a bit of loud screaming and ugly crying in his life, but for whatever reason hers had been much more obnoxious than most, she definitely was not the one. Sensing a presence behind him he rose his head but did not turn around.
"Mother, when will I find her?"
"In time.", came the calm reply of his mother. She walked over to him and laid a hand upon his shoulder, not even acknowledging the dead body that lay before both of them. "Trust yourself, you'll know when you find her. Now come dear, no sense in playing with the dead."
"Yes, Mother.", he replied following the older woman back to the small cabin. When they arrived, they opened the door to be greeted by an older man and a young woman standing over the corpses of two adults and two more young girls. The corpses he recognized as the parents of the girl whose skull he had smashed. And the two younger girls, her siblings. They and the cabin reeked of the smell of gasoline.

"So, I suppose it didn't go well?", the young woman with blonde pigtails asked him.
"No.", came his quick response. "She was disgusting and equally obnoxious."
A small chuckle the girl gave. "I never thought my brother would be such a hopeless romantic. Tell me brother dear, why you even bother with all these girls when you know they aren't the ones? Very few last more than a day with you before you grow tired and dispose of them." The boy threw his sister an annoyed glance. "Experience.", came his short response. "Besides, why do you care? Are you that bored that you need to invade my personal life? I rarely ever see you bother with guys." The girl rolled her eyes, "Experience.... sure. And for one I'm your older sister, it's my job to do so. And I don't usually bother with guys because I tend to have better things to do. Unlike a hopeless romantic like yourself."
The boy was about to retort when the older man spoke out, "Let's stop this nonsense. We need to finish things up. We don't have time to get into petty fights right now." The boy held his tongue while glaring at his sister who had a smirk on her face knowing she had gotten the last word in. He watched as his sister moved past him following his mother out of the cabin. Looking towards the older man he asked, "Father, may I?" His father nodded handing him some matches. As his father walked out the boy stood at the doorway. Lighting the match he casually threw it on top of the corpses. Watching the fire quickly grow and spread thanks to the gasoline, he slowly backed out of the cabin and closed the door.

A/N
Hey! It's me from well way after this was first published. Just want to give everyone a fair warning that the updates are very inconsistent here. Not to mention the characters are always under development and I tend to change writing styles here and there. Not to mention everything is off the top of my head so I'm not sure where this story is going. So if you plan on reading ahead prepare for a bumpy road.
