Flowers need sunlight to live

Humans do as well

I guess I haven't been getting enough

Because I feel like I'm dying

Wilting away like a flower

A flower needs water to live

I've been crying so much

Why am I not surviving then?

As the days go by

My petals fall off one by one

My leaves have started to droop

The green fades away with time

I may be just a person

But sometimes I feel like a flower

Not the blooming kind

Just the kind that wilts until it's turned into nothing

Some day I'll grow

I'll find the way for me to thrive not survive

It may take years

But eventually I'll get there

Maybe I'm an annual flower

I go through a rough patch

But with time I'll improve

I might be a flower

But when the storm comes

I'll stay standing

Because I've prepared

And grown with all of the hard times

Just like a flower
