《open your heart》chapter twelve

The school year had been going great for George.
His students liked him, his co-workers liked him and he was content with that.
He'd grown closer with Dream over the past two weeks and he was almost certain that Dream liked him back because the consistent touches and flirting was starting to be incredibly obvious.
Life was too well now, something was bound to ruin it all but George didn't care because he was happy in the moment and absolutely nothing was in his way.
After days of reciting lines in the mirror, George was finally ready to confess his true feelings for the blonde. It was time anyways, he wanted Dream to know and his crush was beginning to eat him alive.
Last night, he'd dreamt about the one night stand again. He dreamt on how he tripped out of the bedroom and how the red fury and confusion had been ringing .
He'd have to tell Dream at some point if they ever dated, he deserved to know when he'd been somewhat active just in case he found that unappealing and gross.
Personally, George found it quite gross that he had been so stupid to fall into some guys trap but now that his life was going fine, the dreams were just dreams and Dream was more than a dream. He was his reality.
School had ended hours ago, it was about seven at night when George had picked up the phone at last.
Was it too late? Would Dream be asleep and would he be disturbing him? Probably.
He was going to do it anyway, what could he lose? If anything it would go to voicemail and he could just try again the next day. No big deal.
George's hands seemed to start to shake as he opened their messages and tapped quickly on the call button. It was too late now, it was ringing already.

He put the phone to his ear. His were feet swinging behind him and his free hand was running through his hair, giving it a small ruffle. He wanted Dream to ruffle his hair.
The phone stopped ringing and shuffling could be heard on the other end.
"George? Are you okay?" Dream began, "What's wrong?" He sounds tired and George bites his lip.
He hesitates for a moment, he could hang up right now and not risk his friendship or he could just grow up and tell him before it was too late.
"I- I.." He closed his eyes, his hand like formed into a fist, his nails digging into his palms but at this point it didn't even matter.
"Are you okay?" Dream asked again, more worried now, "Do I need to come over?" He offered.
George didn't even register when he said yes almost immediately and before he knew it, Dream was on his way and the call had ended.
He should've just told him, he'd be even worse in person! This wasn't good, plus he didn't even look good.
George rolled out of bed and changed his shirt quickly, throwing on a hoodie instead of his work shirt. He looked down at his jeans and sighed. He might as well. George also changed his jeans to sweats and hoped he looked okay for Dream's standards.

George didn't have to wait long before there was a loud knock on the door. Startled, he got to his feet and shuffled downstairs.
This was it, he was going to do it. No more holding back and letting his heart ache every time Dream spoke to another teacher. Maybe he had the signs wrong though? Maybe Dream was just being a nice co-worker and he a had gained feelings for no reason.

He could hear rain and see water on his windows so he quickly opened the door and Dream walked inside immediately, soaked in water.
George gasped and went to his side, taking off his coat for him. "You should've told me it was raining! I wouldn't have let you over."
Dream laughed and took his coat, hanging it on the coat rack. "It's okay georgie, I'd get wet for you any-day."
There was silence before George giggled and they both knew exactly how that sounded.
Dream started to apologize but George was in a laughing fit, stepping away, "I'm going to get you towels, wet boy." he winked before walking off. Did he really just do that? Could he actually flirt?
George walked into the bathroom and started to rummage for towels. He wished Dream didn't come over when it was raining, he got his clothes all wet and just so he can be a stereotypical school girl and confess his feelings like an idiot.
It would be fine though, he kept telling himself that. If anything he'd just get rejected and Dream would ask if they could just be friends and he'd be totally okay with that!
At least he hoped he would.
George left the bathroom with the towels and handed them to a shaking Dream who stood in the entrance. He had taken his shoes off and was currently hugging himself.
At the sight of towels, his eyes lit up and he smiled down to George, "You're so sweet Georgie, thank you." He started with drying his hair before moving down to his chest and legs.
George just sighed and instinctively did his finger fidget, tapping each one with his thumb and repeating the opposite way.
Dream seemed to notice because he frowned. "What's wrong? You seemed upset on call earlier."
Shit, did he really?
"Well, I just wanted to tell you something.. But I'm really scared to say it so I just.." He looked down, too embarrassed to meet Dream's eyes.
He flinched as Dream pulled him into a hug, letting George wrap his arms around his torso. It was comforting and it was definitely time, he just hoped it would be okay.
"You can tell me anything, you know that right?" Dream whispered above him, resting his chin on George's soft brown hair.
George could feel tears prick at his eyes, this was becoming too much.
"I really like you, okay?" He started, gripping Dream's shirt with his fists. "And I'm sorry if you don't feel the same, I just think-"
He was cut off by Dream pulling away from the hug so they could look at each other. He was silent as Dream cupped his cheeks and smiled kindly.
"Aw Georgie, I like you too."

If you like stories that start out with physically perfect, demure, wilting-violet female protagonists, this story also isn't for you. If you're looking for harems or murderhoboes or objectification or porn, then you should probably look elsewhere. But if you are a romantic and have the patience to watch two imperfect characters blossom over time, then welcome to my world.

8 113Aurelia Online
"Welcome to the Universe of Aurelia!" These were the words spoken by Zenid Corp when they released info about their new VRMMORPG. They said it would be groundbreaking, mind boggling, and view changing. They said you would see AI in a whole new light. Will these words prove true?Or will Zenid's promise fall flat?.......Who knows. This isn't a story about them it's a story about a laidback, quirky, slightly perverted young man named Derrick Ashport aka Nortaz.Join him as he adventures through space, learns mystery psionics, and tries to build up one of the most deadly and rotten (quite literally) harems ever heard of in a game all while subconsciously trying to avoid his childhood friend!(Cover picture is placeholder. The number and gray thing irritated me)____________________________________________________________________________This is my first story and as such it WILL more than likely lack in most places. I'm more than willing for all criticism and suggestions for how it will go and names for places, people, and items. Also don't worry this isn't some harem focused story story wise though the MC does try to go for it but not until later. And yes he will notice a harem is forming.
