《The Bookstore》Chapter 14

"Midoriya why the hell do you keep staring at the manga section? Do your work!" Nishimoto says as he wipes down the nearby bookshelf.
Izuku glares over at him, "Because I'm hoping that those little brats over there aren't gonna take the last couple volumes of the new manga we got today," he says eyeing that one teenager with the horns on his hat.
"Well it's not my fault that you have to wait until your shift is over until you check out your precious book," Nishimoto says with a hint of sarcasm.
"It only happened once!" Izuku cries.
"I'm sorry that you decided to get lost in your book right when Mr Grumpy decided to walk by," He says throwing the dirty rag away, "Plus you should be grateful, at least he didn't fire you."
Izuku rolls his eyes, "It was still kinda funny though, the look on your face when he tapped on your shoulder. The look of horror." Nishimoto says laughing slightly.
"Ugh, it's not like I could hear him coming?" He says checking the time and walking over to the other side of the bookshelf.
When Izuku realized that he only had about 10 minutes until his shift was over he slightly cheered to himself.
"Can you go over to the cash register and ring up that one kid? No one is over there right now," Nishimoto calls, Izuku nods and walks over to Mr. I-like-reading-explicit-content.
"Good afternoon," Izuku greets the kid, the kid puts his books on the counter and Izuku starts checking them out.
When he was finishing up a girl with light blue hair ran up next to the kid, "Kota wait! Can you buy this book for me? Ive been waiting a month for it."
When she put the book on the counter Izuku felt his eye twitch.
That little shit.
Izuku slowly scanned the book with a fake smile, he tried his best not to lose his shit and just grab the book and run out of there.
But no, Izuku was a man, he cant fight a teenage girls for a book.

He watched as the two of them leave with big smiles on their faces.
As soon as they were outside Izuku groaned
Nishimoto went over to pat him on the back.
"WHYYYY I WAS SO CLOSE," Izuku whined putting his head on the counter, "I HAD LIKE 3 MINUTES LEFT AND SHE HAD TO BUY IT. THIS ISN'T FAIR!" Izuku cries into his arms.
Nishimoto just stood there with Izuku in his arms.
"Here," he says nudging something into his arms, Izuku looked down to see a book.
"I knew you were going to lose your shit over this like every other month so I kept one in the back," He said as Izuku grabs the book, "Nishi?"
Oh god he only calls me that when he's going to lose his mind over something I did.
"THANK YOU SO MUCH NISHI, I LOVE YOU," Izuku says grabbing onto him and screaming into his arms.
"Now get out, your shift is over and you're scaring the customers," Nishimoto says pushing him off.
Izuku nodded and paid for the book and walked over to the door after waving bye to his coworkers.
He was walking out when he noticed Kirishima walking up to him, "Hey Kirishima!" He says waving at the other man.
Kirishima smiles at him, "Hey Izuku," he says waving, "I was out patrolling and I wanted to stop by here to invite you to a hangout I'm having with a couple of my friends tomorrow."
"Oh really," Izuku says, "Who's going to be there?"
"Not many people, Bakugou, Kaminari, Ashido, Uraraka, and Asui," Kirishima says, "Anyways we are meeting up at my apartment and were going to order some pizza. It's nothing special, we are just all hanging out."
"I don't think I have anything to do tomorrow so yeah, I'll stop by and chat for a little while," Midoriya says shivering slightly, he reached into his bag and pulled out a scarf and tossed it around his neck.
"You have to patrol right? My apartment is the same way so let's just walk and talk," He says, taking Kirishima's hand before quickly letting go, not wanting people to get the wrong idea.

Sure most times when they hung out they've been usually at cafes or in his room.
Most people always ask if they were dating and stuff like that and when they declined they seemed kind of sad.
Thankfully none of them had taken pictures or stuff like that so it hasn't got on the news yet.
Well up until now.
"Woah! Look, it's Red Riot!" A teenager says pointing at him from across the street, there was another next to him pointing at Izuku and whispering something to the other.
Izuku frowned at the boys and looked away.
"So Kirishima, I always have to check up on you on the whole Kaminari situation," Izuku says cheerfully, "So spill."
Kirishima glares at Izuku and says, "Nothing much to be honest, we mostly just talked and we are friends again."
"Well that's a start," Izuku says smiling.
"Did those kids just take a picture of us?" Kirishima says spinning around after seeing a bright light flash.
"Ugh I think so," Izuku says rolling his eyes, "Whatever, let the media have what they want. If they say some shit about us dating just ignore them."
"Yeah I guess, I don't want them harassing you though," Kirishima says slightly frowning, "And plus dont you already have a boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?" Izuku says out loud trying to think of who he was talking about, "I don't have a boyfriend though."
"What? I thought you and that dude Shindou had a thing going on."
"Yeah no, I guess we talk sometimes and we made out like once but we kinda got interrupted. Just because we did that doesn't make us boyfriends."
"Oh well ok. That's good. The guy's a real tool anyways."
"He's not that bad..."
"Yeah sure, say what you want but you can't change my mind," Kirishima says poking at one of Izuku's curls, "What's in the bag anyways?"
"Oh it's just the newest volume to this manga I really like," Izuku says holding up the bag, Kirishima takes it and looks inside, "Woah you like these books too!" He exclaims.
"Yeah, anyways I'm going to tell you this little brat came in there and got the last friken book, if it weren't for my coworker I would have had to go to another store to get it." Izuku says with a scowl on his face, "The kid had a UA uniform on though, bitch better watch out when she becomes a pro cause I'm gonna throw these hands."
Kirishima didn't say anything, he just watched from the side in horror hoping this doesn't become a villain backstory, "Um alright... What did she look like, I might know them."
"She had really light blue hair, kinda like this drug dealer I knew back in high school. Speaking of him I kinda forgot about him until now. He used to sell drugs, no one knew his name though and he always looked like he was on crack. He would always tell us to just call him Shiggy and never gave us a real name. He was always wearing this black hoodie that looked like he never washed. Anyways back to the girl, she had like this horn and red eyes." Izuku stands there for a minute as Kirishima stared at him in horror, "Now that I think about it she looked really similar to Shiggy, they both had red eyes too. Too bad though, I kinda miss Shiggy, he got arrested for something and I never saw him again. He was a funny guy though."
Kirishima just stood there staring at him like he had four eyes and blinked a couple times, "Shigaraki was a part time drug dealer at some high school? Wow I could have never imagined that."
"Oh you knew Shiggy too?" Izuku exclaims smiling.
"Yeah he was the one dude who kidnapped Bakugou back in high school," Kirishima says, trying not to laugh at the look on Izuku's face.
"What the fuck."
"Anyways we are in your wonderful dorms, I'll come here tomorrow to pick you up," Kirishima says winking.

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
It is about a London lawyer named Gabriel John Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde. The novella's impact is such that it has become a part of the language, with the very phrase "Jekyll and Hyde" coming to mean a person who is vastly different in moral character from one situation to the next.------------I do not own or did not write this story. It is a copy of Original Book that I have uploded to help spread the book to wider audiences. Hope you enjoy.
