《Seven Facts Of A Hunter》Chapter 47

You sit up, vision blurred, ears ringing, head spinning.
A small voice starts echoing in your head, but is too hard to understand to grab your attention. As your vision clears, so does the dizziness. You see bodies sprawled all throughout the gravel driveway. Charlie is laying to your left, Sam to your right, both unconscious.
The voice continues, but has now become clear enough you can hear it "(y/n)! (Y/n)!"
The voice is familiar... Dean... You turn quickly. He is the furthest out. He is leaning against a tree, his arm bleeding profusely. Blood is dripping down his face, his eyes glued to you in pain.
You try to stand, but are hit with a shock of pain when you put weight on your left leg. Your ankle is broken, causing you to cringe.
"D-Dean! Are you ok?!" You call over to him, his reply raspy and weak.
"I'll be fine. Are Charlie and Sammy ok?"
Before you could check Sam, he groans and sits up. "It's Sam, not Sammy."
You look over to Charlie, her chest moving, but nothing else. "She's still unconscious."
"(Y/n)... You changed back..." Sam mutters, a surprised look on his face.
You look down to see you had, in fact, changed back to normal. You look over to see the others had changed back as well, at least what you could assume, since you didn't know them before.
They had also begun waking up, talking amongst themselves. Sam had jumped up to help Dean, helping him stand and practically carrying him to the car.
You are still sitting on the ground when your eyes are drawn to the blaze that was the hide out. It is no longer a building, but a burning inferno, an oven for all of the things inside.

"(Y/n)!" A voice yells behind you, catching your attention "I'd love to stay and roast hot dogs, but we gotta get out of here!" Dean's voice called from the passenger seat of the car.
You try to stand again, careful not to put too much weight on the foot and slide into the back seat. Sam kicks baby into reverse and throws gravel everywhere as they speed backwards.
Your head began to spin again as you begin to get tired "(y/n)! Don't you dare get blood all over my back seat!" Dean called as you fall unconscious, your head falling onto Charlie's shoulder.
********************
You wake up to beeping and bright lights flooding your senses. "Ugh, not this shit again." You groan.
"I know how you feel." A familiar voice calls from beside you.
You turn to see Dean, a small slice of pie sitting on the table in front of him, a pillow underneath his leg and numerous bandages across his arm. The white of the hospital gown contrasting against his tan skin.
"Dean?" You ask, sitting up and noticing you are also in a hospital bed. "How the hell did you manage to get the same room as me? Isn't that like, against some sort of rules..?"
"I told them that we we're family, and may have slipped them a few bucks." Sam chuckled, sitting up from the chair next to Dean and moving over to you.
"I'm pretty sure that is ten kinds of illegal." You laugh as he sits on the edge of the bed.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, a generous yet saddened look on his face.
"Iffy, give me a few minutes and ask again." You sigh, shifting in the bed.
Sam chuckled as a nurse comes in to check on Dean. Of course, he slid on his generic flirty smile, and began talking her up. You and Sam ignored them, jumping into your own conversation.

"So... Now that the bunker is a pile of ashes, where are we gonna go?" A small sigh escapes you, your eyes falling away from his.
"We will just have to go back to the way it was before." He tried to smile reassuringly.
"Hotel hopping? Ugh." You groan with displeasure.
He gently set his hand on top of yours comfortingly, a small smile on his lips. He didn't say anything, just looked over to his brother, who was getting totally blown off by a nurse who looks all to ready to get away from him.

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
