《Seven Facts Of A Hunter》Chapter 14

Sam pulled into the parking lot of an old park. Kids ran across the grassy field and dogs barked happily. Sam smiles wildly and looks at you, only to be met with a look of confusion and disbelief.
"A park?" He laughs
"Yes a park. I come for a run out here every once in a while. It's nice and peaceful, and to be honest we could use some of that right now."
You sigh in agreement and step out of the car, Sam not far behind "How far is this place from HQ?"
"About 2 miles." He replys, looking around.
"Holy crap! You run four miles?!" You exclaim, looking at him wide eyed.
He shugs "Gotta be prepared for a chase."
Shrugging in agreement, you look to your right and see a car a few spaces over that brings back bad memories. You stare for a moment, shuddering when Sam sets his hand on your shoulder to get your attention.
You jump slightly "Are you alright?" He looks at the car.
"Y-yea." You try to assure him "Just caught in a memory."
"Seems like a bad one." He notices.
Smiling nervously, you reply shakilly "Yea, an old uh, friend of mine used to drive a car like that." You gesture to the vehicle.
"Oh, must be weird to see it after two years of traveling the country." He jokes.
"Yea. Come on, lets walk around."
You grab his hand and lead him to the sidewalk, slowing down when your feet hit cement. You unintentionally realize your holding his hand and begin to blush as you begin to pull away, but are stopped when Sam slides his fingers in between yours. Looking up at him surprised, he smiles, not looking at you.

He holds up your hand in his "I never realized how small your hand was compared to mine." Smirking, he glances over to you.
You frown at him "My hands aren't small, yours are big." You mumble angrilly.
"Oh, I'm sorry I have big hands."
"Don't apologize moose, it's to match the rest of your sasquachian body." You growl.
He throws his head back laughing "God, your turning into Crowley. That's where the moose nick name originated from."
"No, I just call you moose because of your moose personality, your size, and your hair."
Standing on your tippy-toes, you use your free hand to slightly ruffle his hair. He laughs along with you and runs his fingers through his hair, somewhat reseting it.. He looks at you, his face lit up happily as he smiles, your face doing the same. You lean against his arm as you walk, still once in a while making a moose joke.
You make it to the public bathrooms, where he sits you down on a nearby bench and says he'll be back in a few minutes. You watch him walk away before pulling out your phone to see 7 texts from Dean. Sighing, you begin to go through them and read them.
Suddenly someone is standing next to you and says something, which makes chills run down your spine "(Y/N) Singer? Is that you?"
You look up to see Nick, a guy who went to school with you for 3 years before being shipped off to boot camp. His hair is still in the boot camp style and his clothes are straight and monotone. He smiles at you, but in his eyes you see the hatred you feel for him being reflected back. He was one of them. Of the guys that...

You put on your best fake smile "Nick! So good to see you!"
His smile fades slightly, his face still pleasant. "What have you been up to? I haven't laid eyes on you in what? 5? 6 years?"
'Wish it was longer.' You think to yourself. "Not much, just traveling around the country in an impala with a couple of my dad's friends."
He opens his mouth to speak, but is stopped when Sam replys "So we're just Bobby's friends now?" He asks cockily smirking and striding over to your side.
"You called me just a 'work friend's earlier." You tell him.
He nods in agrreement "Is this an old high school friend?" Sam asks, gesturing to Nick.
Nodding, you introduce them "Sam this is Nick, Nick this is Sam. One of the guys I've been driving around with for the last two years."
Sam smiles and shakes Nicks hand. Nick looked up at him, rather intimidated even though Nick was about as tall as Dean "N-nice to meet you." He smiles nervously.
"I'll go get us some water." Sam smiles as he walks away, giving you two time to talk.
"Well, he is um... interesting. That's where you have been for the last two years? I have been looking all over for you!" He grabs your shoulders tightly, a memory springing back.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
