I just want everyone to know there is no true inspiration to this story. If I am being honest, I wrote it a couple years ago being in a 17 hour car ride. Time after time I went back and edited this story, and now as of 2019, I think it is officially done and fixed. This story was originally written in first person, but I have grown to not like first person myself so I did change it up.

A lot of the dynamics are the same, I simply tried fixing minor errors and added more detail. I hope you all like this story and find it romantic and heartbreaking at the same time. The story is simply about Harry being in a coma, and whilst being in this coma he goes through memories of him and Louis that kind of keep him grounded to life. Louis visits him every day and is heartbroken having to see Harry like this, but he doesn't realize his visits are actually subconsciously giving Harry hope to keep living.

The story can get confusing with the way it oscillates from flash back to present day/reality. I'll try to set like a little note to let you guys know when it switches, but sometimes it kind of flips back and forth in the middle of the scene.

So if the story is written in italics then that is a flashback that Harry is currently experiencing while in his coma, or it's simply Harry's subconscious. Basically, it is not reality. However, if in the middle of the italics the words are normal, then that is reality. Sometimes Harry is in his subconscious and he can hear the outside world but not actually be able to communicate with them. If there is any confusion, just let me know. Look for those font changes.
