The day was a Saturday and Louis and Ashton had now been talking for five days straight. Neither of them parted with their phone for longer than a minute, afraid that they would reply too late to a text the other sent. To most people that would be considered sad. But Louis thought it was cute.

"Will you please get off your bloody phone and talk to me?" Louis' head snapped up when he felt the impact of a flying cushion on the top of his head.

"Heeey." Louis whined, dropping his phone into his folded legs, picking up the cushion and throwing it back at his roommate. He laughed when it ended up nowhere near her but soon stopped and squinted his eyes at the girl.

"Stop looking at me like that. It's creeping me out. But anyway, who are you too busy texting? You've been ignoring me for the past half an hour. Louis I'm bored." Megan threw her legs of the arm of the sofa chair, placing the back of her hands against her head to add to the dramatic theme.

"For your information, it's Ashton. And we are waiting for Luke. I'm not the one who's running late. Don't moan at me, I've done nothing wrong." Louis' held his hands up for the sign of surrender and Megan just rolled her eyes. However, that was when the door rang.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." The blonde haired girl laughed, sliding back upright in her seat.

Louis jumped up from the sofa, cussing at himself as he hear his phone land of the floor with a lot thud. He bent down, picking up the device, before running towards the front door to the flat. He picked up the phone which was attached to the wall. "We'll be down now!" He shouted down the speaker before he grabbed his shoes and opened the door. He looked back, making sure that Megan was ready to leave and left the flat when he saw that she was right behind him.

"Maybe you should have put your shoes on?" Megan suggested as she watched Louis hoping down the flights of stairs, attempting to put his light blue pair of Vans on.

"Oh shush will you." Louis rolled his eyes, managing to finally put the pair of shoes on.

"You're just too excited to see your lover, am I right? Or am I right?" Again Louis just rolled his eyes as they reached the ground floor of the building. He smiled, his pink covered lips curving up at the corners as he saw two boys standing just outside. Louis turned the lock on the door, opening it and stepping outside, allowing Megan to lock the door.

Ashton and Luke turned at the sound of the door opening. "Hey," Ashton smiled, admiring the brown haired boy in front of him.

"Hi." Louis giggled. Ashton opened his arms, giving Louis permission to hug the older of the boys. Louis only stepped right into the open arms, wrapping his own shorter arms around the taller ones neck.

"I was so right." Louis heard Megan laugh.

"Awh, just look at the cute couple." Luke slung his arm around Megan's shoulders. "Aren't they just adorable?" He looked down at the shorter girl, a grin on his face.

"Cuter than a baby monkey!" Megan laughed scrunching up her face, bringing her hands to Lukes cheeks and squeezing them softly. Luke just laughed, tipping his head back, trying to escape the girls grip.

"Now who's the cute couple aye?" Luke turned to face his two friends, his arm still wrapped around the blonde's shoulders. He glared playfully, at the boy with the long hair.

"You're just jealous Lou here, doesn't pinch you cheeks." Luke threw back. Ashton laughed, pulling out of the embrace only to thread his and Louis' fingers together, entwining their hands.

"Let's just go. I'd prefer to get there before the shops close." Louis chuckled, pulling on Ashton's hand, leading him towards Luke's car.

Twelve shopping bags, three Starbucks coffees and a McDonald's stop later, Louis had decided that he was finally done. "I can't believe someone could need so much stuff." Ashton huffed as he sat himself down in Luke's car. He spread his arms out and widened his legs, resembling a star.

"Well believe it. Lou does this every month, when he's paid." Megan announced from the front seat of the car. The boot of the car was slammed shut and moments later, Luke and Louis were climbing into the car.

"I heard my name." Louis smiled, looked at Ashton.

"Just talking 'bout you, not to you." Megan laughed, watching over the scowl Louis shot at her.

As soon as Luke started the car, all four of the teenagers were soon to be quiet, listening to the songs playing on the radio. Megan was the first to be dropped off, having to meet a friend at some coffee shop. Next was Ashton and Louis. Ashton had asked Louis to go back to his after they were done shopping. Louis agreed, not wanting to be in his shared flat, alone. The pair bid the goodbyes to the driver and exited the car.

"Is it strange that I'm a little scared to go into your house?" Louis let out a forced laugh as he slung his handbag over his shoulder. Ashton just chuckled, picking up the many shopping bags which belongs to Louis.

"Why are you scared?" He asked.

"I'm about to meet your family Ash." Louis stopped his walking, standing still and looking over to Ashton. Ashton carried on the walk up to his front door and looked back at the other.

"You'll be fine Lou, I promise. You don't even have to talk to them if you don't want to. We'll go straight to my room. Okay?" Louis smiled in return, thankful for Ashton's offer. And they did just that. Louis was grateful that Ashton's parents and siblings were not aware of their entrance and he headed right up the stairs. Whereas Ashton went to the kitchen to make his presence known.

Louis sat down on Ashton's bed and let out a puff of air. Ashton's room was a typical teenage boy room. Posters hung on the walls, a TV, a double bed and a lot of mess. Not that Louis minded because, well, his was the exact same. Louis looked over the desk beside Ashton's bed. Placed on top of the wooden furniture were many notes, books and pictures.

Louis stood from the bed, deciding that looking a little wouldn't hurt. He smiled at the pictures. He picked up the one of Ashton and a boy. Both looked very young, no older than four or five. Ashton was dressed in a pair of denim dungarees with a light blue t-shirt beneath it. He laughed to himself as he looked over Ashton's grinning face.

His attention then turned to the person stood beside Ashton. The boy looked very familiar. He scanned the child over and over. Trying to pinpoint where he had seen him before. The unknown boy was wearing a dark blue pair of shorts and a white t-shirt to match the small white sandals on his feet. Louis scrunched his eyebrows, looking up from the picture trying to rummage through his mind. The dark hair and facial features just looked like someone who he knew and he couldn't decide who.

That was when the bedroom door opened and in came Ashton. Louis panicked a little, his eyes widening as he looked to the older boy who still held all of his shopping bags. Ashton looked back at Louis, then to the frame he was holding.

Louis looked back to the picture, "I'm sorry, I-I was just looking." He looked up again to notice that Ashton was just smiling. Relief flushed through him.

"It's fine, I get it. You don't really know that much about me." Ashton chuckled. "There's no harm done." He walking forward, placing the many shopping bags into his bed before walking up behind Louis and looked down to the photograph. "That's Harry."

Louis almost chocked on his own spit. His eyes nearly popping out in recognition. "That's who it was!" Louis whispered to himself.

Ashton was a little confused, not knowing Louis knew his friend. "You know him?" He asked, walking around and sitting on the bed in front of Louis.

Louis placed the photograph back on the table before sitting on the bed beside Ashton. He crossed his legs and turning his body so that he was fulling facing him. "Yeah. He goes to my college." Louis held out that he had the worlds biggest crush on the green eyed boy. Not wanting to bring any unwanted tension to the room.

"'Course. Forgot about that. Yeah, Harry's a good lad. We've been friends for a while. As you could see." Ashton laughed, remembering things that he and Harry had done together. "He tells me everything. He's that kind of friend. Doesn't stop talking about who he thinks is hot and all of that. Typical gay guy he is." Louis grinned to himself, looking down to his hands which rested on his lap. He then found himself thinking if Harry had ever spoke about him. He then shook his head slightly knowing that that would never had happened.

Ashton looked over to Louis. Seeing the grins and then the shake of the head. He smiled sadly, "you like him. Don't you?" Louis froze, raising his head to look at Ashton. He found himself nodding. It was then Ashton's turn to look to his lap, "knew it was too good to be true."

"What d'you mean?" Louis asked in confusion.

"It's not everyday you meet someone that you fit with so well and they actually feel the same way." Louis' slight smile faded and he suddenly felt guilty.

"It's not that I don't like you!" Louis clarified and Ashton looked back up and over to Louis. "It's just- I've liked Harry for years. It's one of those things that never go away. Stupid really. He'll never like me like that. We've never even had a full conversation." Louis shook his head. "I don't know."

"You should speak to him. He's a nice person. Really. And if he does anything to hurt you... Well, I'm sure Megan will put him in his place, she was surely ready to do that to me." Louis laughed, his head rolling back and his hands flying up to cover his face in embarrassment.

Ashton smiled fondly, reaching forward to move Louis hands. "Don't hide, you look beautiful when you laugh." Louis calmed down his laughs and looked over at Ashton who's eyes widened. "I-I'm sorry, that wasn't- I didn't mean to sound creepy- Wow." Louis began laughing again, this time not covering his face and leaning forward.

"It's okay." Louis laughed. "Thank you." Ashton stood from the bed, turning to face Louis.

"No problem," he stretched out one arm, waiting for Louis to take his hand. "Now let's go get a pizza or something."

-

The two boys ended up sharing a large pizza. It was ten o'clock before they knew it and Ashton had persuaded Louis to let him drive him home. "Honestly, Lou. It's fine." Louis groaned.

"But you're already home, why waste gas? I can walk, I'll be fine." Ashton just shook his head, placing Louis' shopping into the boot of his car.

"There is no way I'm letting you walk alone. So I either walk you home, and take twice as long, or you get in the car." Ashton slammed the car boot shut, before turning to Louis who stood on the pavement beside the car. He crossed his arms over his chest and raised an eyebrow at the cross dresser.

"Ugh, fine." Louis dragged out his choice of word before stomping his way- jokingly -to the passenger side of the car and climbing in. Ashton chuckled to himself, spinning on his feet and walking his way around the vehicle, his arms dropping to swing by his side. He pulled his door open, and slid in. Doing up his seatbelt, Ashton looked to Louis.

"Thank you. For letting me take you home." Louis looked over at home and smiled. Ashton took note on how pretty Louis' lipstick looked on him in the light coming from the street lights.

"I'm only letting you because I don't want you to walk and get cold." Ashton shook his head again before turning to the wheel and starting the car. Ready to leave the driveway.

"Thank you." Louis groaned as he took the bags from Ashton's, wondering how on earth he had carried them all up the flights of stairs. He could barley manage to take them from the front door to the couch.

"Right, I guess I'll see you soon." Louis nodded. Walking behind Ashton, following him to the door.

"I'm going to get Luke to take me to band practice." Louis clarified. "You put on quite a show last time." Ashton chucked, turning to face the boy as he reached the exit.

"I'll see you Monday then." Louis, once again, nodded in reply and they bid their farewells. Once Ashton was gone and Louis had slouched himself on the sofa, Megan entered the room.

"So how was the date night?" Louis looked at him roommate as she took a seat next to him.

"Didn't go the exact way I planned." Megan turned to him in confusion. "I kind of confessed to liking Harry. Turns out the two know each other. Small world right?" Louis sighed, swinging his legs up and on to Megan's lap.

"Why don't we have our own date night?" Megan asked. Louis soon agreed and the two friends found them self building their own den. Using chairs and sheets, pillows and blankets; trying to make it as comfy as possible. The two slept huddled together, Louis' laptop quietly playing Disney's Peter Pan in the background.
