"We are almost to the village. It's mainly inhabited by Demi Humans" Y/N stated while walking on the dirt road. Sistine was following behind him, she looked very cautious of the whole surroundings.

"Okay" she whispered, even though Y/N saved her, she had doubts because her first encounter with people in this new world. However, she found herself gradually trusting him, something about Y/N made her feel safe, just like with Glenn in her world.

"Don't mean to rustle your feathers, but them cat ears you have. They real or not?" Y/N asked, he then groaned outloud from the sudden country boy accent. Sistine knew what he was asking.

"They're fake, it's just a headband that I've had for the longest time" she replied while trying to take them off. Unfortunately they weren't coming off,

"You sure they're fake?" Y/N asked again. She sighed in annoyance, but they twitched like they picked up a sound.

"There! There's something coming near us!" Sistine pointed in a direction. Y/N looked at the girl with confusion, but a few creatures came running at them like they were being chased by something. Soon, a large two headed creature was closely behind. The creature stopped in its tracks and looked at Y/N and Sistine.

"The hell is this thing?" Y/N asksd looking at his HUD screen. Nothing was popping up for him, but the creature started to make his way over towards the two. Y/N looked over to Sistine and she started to cower in fear.

"Get behind me" Y/N commanded, the girl nodded in agreement and stood behind him. The creature started run at the two, Y/N remembered a certain item he unlocked.

The Caltrops appeared in his hand. Y/N smirked at the sight,

"Let's test these bad boys out" he said outloud and threw the items. The creature stopped running and it became confused. Y/N noticed that the HUD was showing him the health bar of the creature since it was taken damage.

"You make a wolf look cuddly" Y/N commented while loading his revolver. Two loud noises came into the area, and it caused Sistine to cover her ears and look away.

Y/N looked at the deceased creature, "what the hell is this thing?" He asked while walking up to it. As he got near it, Sistine was very worried for Y/N.

Turns out, the creature was not dead and one of the heads bit Y/N's arm. Sistine eyes went wide eyed at the sight. Y/N dropped the revolver and tried poking at the creature's eyes.

"Ah God dammit!" Y/N yelled in pain. He couldn't reach over to get his other revolver. He only had one plan in mind.

"Sistine!" Y/N yelled while kicking the gun over to her. "Pick that up and cock the hammer back! It's the little thing popping out at the end. Then aim it at this damn thing and pull the trigger!" Y/N commanded while trying to fight off the monster.

Sistine picked up the weapon while her hands were shaking. She didn't know how to use this thing, but she listened to Y/N's command. With both thumbs, she pulled the hammer back. She moved her right pointer finger down to the trigger. She was nervous, beyond belief of what could happen. Y/N was hurt and if she used this weapon on him bu accident, he could die.

"Come on Sistine!" He yelled while hitting the head of the beast. "Aim down the barrel and shoot, I'll be fine!"

"But Y/N, I can't!" Sistine yelled back in doubt.

"Yes you can, I dont have much longer!"

Sistine pulled the gun back up and tried aiming at the monster. She kept seeing the two going back in forth, she wasn't able to focus in on the creature. Y/N saw this and pinned himself to a tree.

"Now!" He yelled. Sistine pulled the trigger. The loud noise caused her to drop the weapon and cover her ears. After a few seconds, Sistine didnt hear a thing. She looked over and saw the unknown creature laying on the ground lifeless, once and for all. She then saw Y/N slowly slide down the tree to sit down. His breathing was very heavy, Sistine came to realization and darted over to him.

"Are you okay? I didn't hit you did I?" She asked. Y/N only shook his head and tried to steady his breathing.

"No, you did good" he said through breaths. "I'll be damned, even though that was all luck, you saved me" he said while undoing his poncho and wrapped his injury up. His health bar was low, but he saw it was slowly regenerating.

Y/N looked over to see his weapon laying on the ground, he asked Sistine to give it to him. However, when she did, the barrel of the gun went over the dead creature and something was sucked into the gun.

A notification popped up on Y/N's screen,

New Ammunition enhancement unlocked: Dog Bite Shot

"Some kind of dog" Y/N said himself. He tried this new enhancement and it surprised both him and Sistine. When Y/N shot, a spiritual version of the creature came out of the barrel and bit the air.

"How about that" Y/N said while struggling to get up. Sistine helped him up to his feet,

"You sure you're okay?" She asked worriedly.

"I'm alright sweetheart" Y/N replied while head patting her with his good hand. He realized his actions and pulled away. Sistine had a blush that was far beyond what she had the night before.

"S- I didnt mean to do that" Y/N apologized, "it's just I've been having these random actions without me having control." He tried explaining.

"I-its okay, we should get going" Sistine whispered while covering her face. Y/N sighed at the sight and scolded himself,

'Just fabulous Y/N, just fabulous'

"Looks like we have about twelve days until the wave" Y/N mumbled to himself. He was waiting on Sistine to get done changing, they found a nearby clothing shop to help her to change out of her school uniform. Y/N tried to get some clothes as well, but it wouldn't allow him to change.

"Great, still going to stick out like a sore thumb" he said. He then continued to think about how he is going to deal with Waves. He doesn't have a partner to help him out. Asking Sistine was out of the question, because who knows when her friends will show up to save her.

Sistine came out of the dressing room, her school uniform was in her left hand. She was kind of weary wearing this outfit, but she wanted Y/N's opinion.

"H-how do I look?" She asked getting his attention. Y/N turned around and looked at her up and down. She wore a light blue top with a coat covering her. She also had on a white skirt, with leggings underneath. She ended up keeping the same shoes she had because nothing at the shop felt comfortable enough.

"You look great" Y/N smiled, Sistine thanked him once again for buying the outfit. Her stomach growled while they were paying for the clothes, so Y/N treated her to a meal.

"So, there are five heros to fight off the Waves of Catastrophe?" Sistine asked while waiting for the food she ordered. Y/N took a drink and proceeded to tell her everything he knew.

"Well they're four cardinal heros to fight the waves off. This fifth hero is only summoned if all hope of lost with the other heros. This hero is ahead of their time, hence why I have a gun and other people don't." Y/N explained, but something lingered in his mind.

"Wait, if you were summoned here, wouldn't you have had to read about this book?"

Sistine nervously laughed at that question, "um about that, Professor Radars told us not to worry about what's going on with the book, just needed to cast the spell"

"Alright, that's the most odd thing I've heard in a while" Y/N replied, he then saw their waiter come with their food.

"Enjoy"

Sistine thanked him, Y/N tipped his hat in gratitude. Something still didn't sit well with him about Sistine's situation.

'That book must be in different worlds somehow because we dont have the school she is talking about, let alone magic.'

Suddenly the restaurants doors flew wide open and multiple guards came rushing in, Y/N paid no attention to who it was, while Sistine started to get nervous.

"Just trust me okay?" Y/N told her, She nodded her head and tried to settle down. A couple of more footsteps came in and they started to get closer to Y/N and Sistine.

"There! He's the one who attacked us with out reason!" A familiar voice said. Sistine shuddered in fear once more hearing that voice and remembering what happened. Y/N sighed, he knew this wasn't going to end good.

"You! Troublemaker" someone yelled, Y/N turned around and looked at the person. Long blonde hair was the first thing Y/N noticed, followed by a maroon clothes with armor covering his body. A spear was on his back and he looked like he could use it any second now.

"So this is the one who caused trouble to our knights" a feminine voice said. Y/N looked to her and saw the red hair and green eyes, she resembled someone Y/N knew. She had an outfit on that made her look like royalty.

'The Spear Hero and Princess'

"Yeah, I'm your huckleberry, what of it?" Y/N replied turning around continuing to eat. He looked at Sistine and she was shaking.

"Settle down, it's going to be okay" he whispered through his mask. Sistine nodded and tried to control herself.

"You have the audacity to attack our knights with weapons not known to them?" The princess asked.

"Damn straight" Y/N replied. He sensed that the Spear hero was about to draw his weapon.

"You will pay for your crimes criminal" he spoke. Y/N scoffed at him,

"What crimes? They're the ones that made them. Ask them for yourselves, I caught them stealing this girl and had her tied up. She was also drugged, they were probably planning on raping her by means" he said. Sistine looked at both the Spear hero and Princess and nodded.

"I don't know what they did to me, but he saved me" she pointed at Y/N.

"Impossible, they wouldn't do such a thing" blondie said. He looked at the two knights and they had sweat coming off their faces.

"Just look at him Motoyasu, it's a criminal. Take him out" the princess whispered. Sistine was able to pick up what she said. She grabbed Y/N's hand and gave him a worried look. Y/N saw this and prepared himself.

The spear guy slowly moved his hands back to grab his weapon, and as quickly as he could, he decided to draw it. However, before he could pull it closer to him, a barrel was touching his forehead. Y/N cocked the hammer back and gave him a deathly glare.

"Don't try me Cinderella" Y/N spat. The Spear hero gulped in fear.

"A g-gun? What's a gun doing in this world" he asked. The other knights drew their swords. The princess looked at Y/N in shock and fear.

"I've got a bullet for each and every last one of y'all. I highly suggest you leave is alone and get out of here, now" Y/N threatened. The knights didn't know what to do, so Y/N looked at the princess and smirked,

"The Queen wouldn't like to hear this, would she? Princess Myne"

Myne went white and cowered in fear,

"So," Y/N started while twirling the other pistol in his other hand, "I'll give you ten seconds to leave or I'll drop you dead in your tracks"

All of the knights left the restaurant immediately, The Spear Hero and Myne slowly backed away, but before they left, Myne shouted,

"You won't get away with this, you criminal"

"Yeah, yeah" Y/N waved his gun, "I've got better things to do than worry about a spoiled brat"

"You shall not talk to her like that, do you know who she is?" Spear hero spat back and was ready fire off an attack. His spear glowed with power, but before he could launch his attack, a wall formed right in front of them, blocking the attack.

"Don't test me" Y/N replied blowing the smoke off the barrel. Both Myne and Motoyasu left the area after hearing this threat. Y/N sighed, he didn't want to act like that, but he had to because of the Princess.

He looked over to Sistine, she ended up getting behind one of the wooden poles that supported the restaurant. Y/N walked over and sat back down to finish his food.

"You alright?" He asked taking a sip of his drink, she didn't answer him. He waited a couple of seconds to ask again, but when he turned his chair to speak to her once more, she tackled him into a hug.

"Thank you" she whispered into his chest. Y/N heard her sniffle, she definitely had been crying.

For a slight moment, Y/N didn't know what to do, but he slowly put one arm around her back and another on her head. He slowly petted her head and gave her a reassuring hug,

"You can trust me darlin, you can trust me"
