went back to Seattle shortly after leaving the Cullen's in order to collect any belongings left at the motel.

Aurora brought her bags outside as she waited for everyone else. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a lamp pole plastered with papers of all kind. Lost dog, nannies, and...missing teen.

With a gasp she abandoned her bags and walked to the lamp, tearing the paper off of the pole. Her eyes scanned over it.

Forks teen Aurora Lindon has been missing since the end of last year. She was last seen by her foster sister, Samantha Lindon, sitting on the porch. If you see this girl, please don't hesitate to call the number attached.

Aurora choked back a sob. She knew that it might take awhile for them to realize she was gone, as the house was hectic and she tended to leave for days at a time. But they had realized, and they had begun searching for her.

"Aurora?" It was Jane. Aurora didn't respond as her hand dropped to her side and the paper drifted to the ground.

"They're looking for me." She managed to spit out turning to Jane sadly.

"We had to assume they would at some point." Jane reasoned, as the boys exited the motel with their bags. Jane had made Alec carry her stuff.

"I just thought I wouldn't feel as guilty as I do." Aurora said looking to her heels. "I just... can I let them know I'm okay?"

"That would not be wise, Aurora." Alec said approaching his sister and her mate. "They can not know about our kind."

Jane nodded in agreement and laid a hand on Auroras arm comfortingly. "I suppose...you could write to them. Let them know to are okay."

"And what would I say? I went to Italy to stop my friend's vampire boyfriend from killing him self, met my mate, oh by the way, I'm gay, and now I'm a vampire? I'm sure that'll blow over really well." Aurora said, now pacing back and forth.

"Technically, you are free to go, you are eighteen." Demetri cut in. "...you are eighteen, right?"

"He's right. Write them a letter." Jane commanded. "You'll feel better. We can wait."

Aurora approached her old home with her cloak pulled over her head. She didn't want to risk anyone seeing her and trying to get her to stay.

She walked up the steps of the home, knowing it would be the last time. She had spent a good deal of her childhood there, looking after the younger kids as the played. They had given her numerous splinters too, she remembered with a grimace.

The mailbox was one of the tin rectangular kinds that were attached directly to the house. It would have been easier for Aurora if it were the end of the driveway, but alas.

She had put the note in an envelope, carefully writing her foster parents' names in her girlish handwriting. Inside, where her letter and some cash, the rest of the money Aro had allotted for their trip. He wouldn't care, Jane had assured her. He had expected it to be gone by the time they returned.

Aurora figured it was the least she could do to thank them.

Carefully, she opened the mailbox, freezing when it let out a loud creek. No one in the house stirred and she continued, sliding the envelope into the box.

She was happy with what she had written. It would calm them and not incite an investigation that would cost them money, no doubt.

Shutting the box, she descended the steps for the last time. She didn't look back. She had learned early on that it only made the pain worse.

She walked the long path of the driveway, hands in pockets. At the end, four figures stood, cloaked in darkness.

"You alright?" It was Demetri who spoke.

She nodded. "Yeah...I'm alright."
