Third Person POV

The Azur Lane ships looked at the pool of red that was the boys in horror. They have all seen combat before yes however they have never seen blood or carnage.

They have never saw what their war was.

Sheffield: Karl, everyone.....

Enterprise: What have you done Akagi.

Akagi was also in shock, she has only wanted to get her sister back but this. This was to much.

Akagi: Tester, what did you do?

Tester: I only tried out an experiment, now it should be working anytime soon.

Akagi: What do you mean?

The pool of red suddenly started to glow and then a red beam of light appeared from the water.

Hornet: What is that!

Illustrious: The holy light doesn't like this!

Unicorn: Big sister what is happening!

The light than begun to expand and Tester's eyes started to grow wide.

Taster: That is not what it is supposed to do!

Akagi: What!

Meanwhile with the Red Axis Fleet.

Hiryu: What did you do Akagi...

Soryu: What is this red light?

Admiral Hipper: This is bad.

Z1: Do you have any idea what we are going to do?

Back at Azur Lane base.

Z23: I can't believe we can't escape to help our comrades.

Bismarck: We are prisoners of war.

Zuikaku: Do any of you feel like you are slowly getting sucked into something?

Prinz Eugen: What do you mean?

Shokaku: Now that you mention it I do feel it.

Bismarck: Why though?

Then light began to expand and it soon engulfed the entire fleet of both Azur Lane and Red Axis. Back at the base the ships begun to be blinded by an unseen light source as they disappear from the base.

Finally the light began to fade and the ships of both fleets begun to regain their vision.

Cleveland: Ugh where are we?

Z1: Where are we?

Denver: Big sis look!

Admiral Hipper: Its the Azur Lane ships!

Z23: Chessboard?!

Admiral Hipper: Sis!!

Bismarck: Where are we?

Edinburgh: What is happening?

Nagato: This is defiantly something new.

Hood: What is this place?

All the girls looked around and they saw what seems to be a market place but it was being surrounded by buildings with all different architecture. In the entrance is a large sign in many different languages however they all said the same thing.

Enterprise: Welcome to the Shanghai International Settlement.

Zuikaku: I have never heard of this place.

Z1: There is so much people.

Z23: How come they can't see us?

A man suddenly went through Saratoga freaking her out.

Saratoga: A person went through me!

Tirpitz: This is truly bizarre.

Laffey: Look.......John.

The girls all turned their heads to where Laffey was pointing and they saw a young boy sitting near a fountain. He had a his hair slicked back and was wearing a white shirt with khaki pants with a pocket watch in his left pocket.

Hood: He is aristocracy?

Javelin: Look.

They could see a couple of kids playing marbles together near the square. One seem to have a much more relaxed outfit. They also saw anouther boy who was playing shogi and has what seem to be a kimono.

Nagato: Those two kids seem familiar.

Takao: Wait is that Kaito and Johnathan?

Hornet: It seems like it.

Kaito and Johnathan looked up from their respective game and they approached John.

Johnathan: Hey there.

John: Hello.

Kaito: Hello.

Johnathan: You speak english?

Kaito: Yes, I have to as a son of a diplomat from his holiness.

John: Really? I am the son of a diplomat from the King.

Johnathan: Cool, I am just the son of a diplomat.

Kaito: American?

Johnathan: Yeah, and I guess you are Japanese and you are British.

Kaito: Correct.

John: Spot on.

The group continued their conversation when another boy in what seems to be a uniform of the Soviet army is running around with another boy with an Italian Mountaineer hat on.

Atago: I am guessing those are Dimitri and Giovanni.

Vestal: They seem in good health.

Yorktown: How am I here?

The group turned to Yorktown in shock as she was supposed to be in a hospital but she is seen in a wheel chair.

Hornet: Big sis!

Enterprise: Are you ok?!

Yorktown: Better.

Dimirti: Hey look more friends!

Giovanni: Yeah!

The group turned their attention back to the pair of boys who were now running towards the fountain.

John: Ah hello their, where are you from?

Dimitri: Hi, I am Dimitri from the motherland.

Giovanni: Hello, my name is Giovanni.

Johnathan: And how old are you two?

Dimitri: I have 4 years.

Giovanni: I am 5.

Johnathan: I am 6.

Kaito: I am also 4.

John: I have 7 years.

Kaito: That makes you the oldest.

Dimitri: Wow, I always wanted to have friends in foreign countries.

Giovanni: Hey, who is he?

Both the boys and the ships turned to see a young boy leaning against the a different side of the fountain. He had a normal attire however he has a German naval cap on his head.

John: I am guessing he is German.

Dimitri: Lets go talk to him.

Giovanni: Yeah!

Kaito: I am fine with that.

The boys all started to go to the boy when he suddenly raised his head up and gave them a cold stare. This surprised the ships as they never thought some one so young could hate someone else.

Dimitri: Hi there!

Dimitri's friendliness caught the German kid off guard but he still kept a cold gaze on them.

???: You need something?

John: What is your name?

Karl: Karl.....my name is Karl.

Giovanni: How old are you?

Karl: I have 5 years.

Johnathan: Well Karl you want to hang out?

Karl: Sure.

The group started to talk however then something strange happens. The vision of the girls begun to blur almost as if their vision was clouding up.

Enterprise: What is happening!

Then they suddenly found themselves in the same city square however it was clearly a different day as the people that were once there are no longer in their previous places.

Hornet: This almost seems like a history lesson.

They than heard a chorus of laughter and they saw the group of boys again. They all saw that they exchanged hats and objects. Johnathan was trying out Karl's hat while John's pocket watch was being studied by Kaito. Giovanni's hat was in the curious hands of Karl while Dimitri was showing how to properly put on his cap to an awestruck Giovanni. They all seem to be having a blast and continued to laugh together. However they didn't see a shadow moving behind them.

Kaito: This is really interesting.

John: I know right? I have been trying to understand how it works.

Johnathan: Hey guys, did you hear that?

Giovanni: What?

Johnathan: I swore I heard footsteps.

Karl: It could be nothing but we should stay on our guard.

John: Where the heck are our parents in all this?

Dimitri: Meeting, very large meeting happening all day.

Kaito: How do you know?

Giovanni: The fact that almost no foreigners are out right now.

Johnathan: He is right.

Dimitri: Yeah, I am not sure about right now though.

Kaito: It could be running late.

John: Highly doubtful but it could be.

Then suddenly the shadow clapped his hands over Kaito's mouth. John noticed a tug in his pocket watch and quickly turned to Kaito. The ships watched in horror at what is happening.

John: Kaito what is wr-

John stopped when he saw the figure and he quickly punched the man in the face. The man sprawled back and started to get up.

Johnathan: We outnumber him but I say we do a tactical retreat.

Dimitri: I say we rush him.

Karl: I second that.

John: I have to agree with them.

Giovanni: Than what are we waiting for?

The man suddenly drew a knife and started to stand up straight.

Johnathan: You guys trust me?

John: Always.

Karl: Ja.

Dimitri: Da.

Kaito: Hai.

Giovanni: Si.

Johnathan: Alright than.

Suddenly Johnathan grabbed a rock and threw it at the man. The man dodged the rock however he was caught with a roundhouse kick from Kaito. As he staggered back John quickly tackled him and disarmed him. Dimitri quickly followed up with a punch to the groin area while Johnathan grabbed the knife. Giovanni and Karl got behind the man and each kicked the back of his legs. The man collapsed on the ground and Johnathan quickly stabbed him with the knife. The man fell to the ground dead and the boys quickly ran away just in case if there was any one else working with him. The ships were shocked at the brutality of their attack but also their coordination at such a young age.

Hornet: That seems almost impossible.

Enterprise: Yeah.

Then suddenly the area around them changed again and they saw the group at the fountain once again. They all looked really sad and the girls could mostly guess what was happening.

John: So I guess this is goodbye.

Karl: Yeah.

Johnathan: I am not going to lie the last week has been the funnest in my life.

Kaito: Agreed except for that attack.

Johnathan: Yes of course.

Giovanni: I am going to miss new friends.

Dimitri: We might meet each other again one day. You just have to hope.

Giovanni: Yeah!

John: Well I guess I have to be the first to say that I am going to miss you all.

Karl: I am going to miss all of you for sure, you all were my first real friends.

Kaito: May god and the emperor protect you all.

Johnathan: Yeah. And may we all see each other agian.

The entire group gave a last huzzah before doing their goodbyes.

The boys gave each other one final goodbye hug and they each went their own ways.

Yorktown: That was a bit sad.

Hornet: Yeah.

Enterprise: I never knew they all knew each other from such a young age.

Warspite: What happened after this?

Kagato: Somehow I don't want to know.

Takao: Wait what is that.

The girls all turned and saw a sparkle of light. Then the light expanded and they were all blinded for a few seconds however what they found themselves in was nothing less than terrifying. They found themselves in a crowd of people surrounding a small boy. He was holding up a news paper with the word WAR on it.

???: Extra Extra, Italy declared war on Ethiopia!

The they heard another voice and when they turned to it they found themselves on a street with a different street that has a flag similar to the Eagle Union draped down on one of the buildings.

???2: Extra Extra, Japan has invaded China!

Then they turned again to see a street with Cherry Blossoms on the side of the road.

???3: News today, Germany has invaded Czechoslovakia!

They finally turned again to see a large government building at the end of a street with the flag over it being similar to Iron Blood's flag. They saw the city ablaze, people were looting stores and killing other people however they weren't killing everyone.

Z23: What is happening?

Than they heard a ushered voice from behind and they saw a man with a bright yellow star on his left chest running from a group of boys all carrying weapons.

Man: Please stop, I don't have anything!

Boy 1: Shut up you dirty Jew!

Boy 2: This is what you get for ruining the fatherland!

The group than rushed the man and started to beat him senseless. The ship girls were shocked at the brutality.

Enterprise: What are they doing!

Bismarck: This isn't right!

Wales: Why is this happening?!

Queen Elizabeth: Where are the authorities?!

Unicorn: Big sister, why are they hurting him?

Illustrious: I don't know...

???: This way, quickly.

The group turned to see Karl leading 2 families through an alleyway.

Karl: Come on.

Women: Why are you helping us?

Karl: Because I am doing what is right, now come on.

The ships followed Karl to a small parking lot. There they saw 3 bikes and 1 car.

Karl: This is what I was able to steal, please take them to the coast and get out of Europe.

Women: God bless your soul.

Man 2: Thank you young man.

Karl: You can thank me by getting out of here alive, now go.

The 2 families went away and Karl begun to go back into the city. The ships admired his courage however they were shocked at what they saw. Then they heard the sound of bells ringing and they noticed that they were in a different city. There was a huge clock tower and they saw a news boy waving a newspaper with the title in bold letters.

Boy: Extra Extra, night of the broken glass in Germany. Over 90 dead people in the attack.

Their vision began to blur a bit before returning back to normal and they saw a print that they wished they never saw.

Boy: Extra Extra, Germany has invaded Poland, Britain and France had declared war on Germany!
