You laying with the other lionesses of the pride. Sarafina was giving Nala a bath as heard Simba's voice. "Mom!" He called. You smiled slightly. "Hello, Simba dear." You said to him. "Dad and I want to show you something." Simba said. You chuckled your son. "Okay." You said. You got up from your spot saying goodbye to the other lionesses and following your excited son.
"Come on, mom. It's super important." Simba said running around a corner. "Simba, slow down." You said, chuckling. You turned the corner and saw Mufasa behind Simba as Simba held up a leaf with a painted picture of him and his dad. "Look what I made." Simba said smiling. "It's beautiful, Simba dear." You said to him, walking towards Mufasa, nuzzling his mane. "Is he your son or my son?" You asked Mufasa. "He' definitely your son." Mufasa chuckled.

A handful of disclaimers and claims: First, this is fan fiction, set in the “Amaranthine Saga” universe written by Forthright. The story and characters, on the other hand, are wholly my own (fault). I highly encourage you to read the stories from the “Amaranthine Saga” before reading this; the latter half of this story will make a whole lot more sense if you do. Second, this is a relatively short and stand-alone story. The completed story should clock in around 10,000 words, so please do not expect a novel, let alone a series. Third, while this is a romantic story, I’ve never been a fan of the usual romance “misunderstanding” tropes. It follows his struggles with self-worth, and his interpersonal relationships between his family, friends, coworkers and partners. This novella is in it's first draft so if it's a bit rough around the edges that's why. I just want to get some feedback on it as well as what's working.Each chapter can be very stylistically different from each other as a means of separating the different months that each chapter takes place to better put the reader into the headspace of Arthur.

In this story, we get to see the immediate aftermath of the Grimm finale, see some familiar faces, and answer a few questions that were left up in the air with Grimm's end. This tale is based on the Brother's Grimm fairy tale, Jorinda and Joringel (though I recommend reading the real fairy tale after finishing the book). I do not own Grimm or any of the characters. I wrote this story out of respect and longing for my favorite show that has ended. This story contains violence and mild language.
