Only if Jeongguk's mother didn't go to check on him in the middle of the night and found his room empty and call the Belfort management then they wouldn't have been caught like this. Now they have to be ready for whatever the system decides.
Currently Taehyung was on the medical bed with Jimin by his side who was looking so exhausted because of the lack of sleep, "Jimin, go back and get some rest. I will be alright."
"Are you crazy or what? I can't leave you here, got it?" the cotton candy haired male replies, knitting his brows at the other who sighed and playfully slapped his arms mumbling, "I love you so much, Jimin even if sometimes you are very annoying."
"Fuck off," he frowned in response wanting to punch the other but didn't when he saw that cut of his arm, "You almost died there, didn't you?"
"That arsehole saved me," Taehyung paused for a moment, "But also let's not forget he was the reason I went there in the first place."
"Still not getting why you decided to just help him like you remember right? He is Jeon Jeongguk, not Park Bogum who you would do anything for." the shorter male reminded, rubbing his palms together as he looked over at the nurse sitting at a distance who left a minute after.
The medical room now all empty.
"That was just a middle school crush, Jimin. Don't you bring that up." he sighed, moving ahead only to comfortably lay on the bed. A long sigh leaving his mouth the moment, his head hit the pillow back, "I don't have crushes anymore. Am too old for that."
"Uh huh you are."
"Jimin, I am scared." the brunet mumbled, looking down at his own feet ahead.
"Why?"
"My dad―" he gulped imagining all the possibilities of what his dad might do after he knows that he just helped Jeon Jeongguk (the enemy) and got in trouble for that, "He will be so not happy with me."
"He is never happy dude, you doing anything for him doesn't make him happy. He is such an ungrateful old man I;" a disappointed sigh melted into the air as he glanced at his bestie, "

Jimin opened his mouth to say something but before he could, they heard a voice they both get annoyed at. He looked around to see Jeongguk walking up to them.
"What does he want now?" the cotton candy haired male mumbled, taking a brief glance at his best friend who knitted his brows at the third person.
"Are you feeling okay now?" his sweet voice lingered against the walls of the medical and Taehyung was just enchanted with how low and heavenly that sounded. Jeon Jeongguk can't speak like this to him, no. Never.
"Yeah, was doing good until I saw your ugly face." Taehyung sighed crossing his arms over his chest and a frown displaying on his face, "So better leave?"
"Ugh Jeon, shouldn't have ever said yes to you. Shouldn't have agreed to get there with you. Now I don't know what will say to my parents. My dad will hang me dead." the one on the bed said all of those in a single breath and Jeongguk let out a small sigh as he took seat on the edge of the bed near the other's feet, "They won't know."
"What?"
"I requested her to not drag your parents in this and she agreed when I gave a statement that I won't ever again get to the teng forest," Jeongguk said astonishing the others who just stole looks at each other shocked at how Jeongguk just let go of the matter so easily.
Like he had to chance to pull Taehyung down, drag him with himself in this dirt but he didn't.
"Why would you do that? I mean, you are not supposed to be saving my arse? Huh what do you want?" Taehyung asked rubbings his palm along his arm which wasn't wounded and glared at the one in front getting a hint that he has to do something for the payback for sure. This favour isn't for free.
"For what, Jeon?" Taehyung asked,
"Spill!"
"For helping me," Jeongguk reasoned, "For helping me and also that day for agreeing to keep it a secret. You did lot of things I never expected and getting you in trouble for my problems isn't nice so this is the least I could do."

"You don't know how much of a big deal it was for me," Taehyung genuinely smiled, like one of those smiles he gives to Jimin or anyone he doesn't have rivalry with. Yes, that boxy beautiful smile that could actually cure mental health issues; that smile to the blond one who smiled back, " I hate to say this but maybe you aren't that of a bad human being afterall."
"I am surely better than whatever you think of me, Kim." the younger one giggled at this and they have an eye contact, not those glaring contests they used to have, a one without any feelings attached to it, no hate, no nothing. Just a simple one before they glance over at Jimin who just sweetly smiled.
"Please will you kill me if I say I low-key want you both to date like that would be epic, you know―" the boy couldn't even finish his sentence when he was attacked by Jeongguk's death glares and Taehyung's soft punches on the arm as they both through gritted teeth mumbled "Of course would kill you for that, we can never."
"I would rather date a donkey than date him," Taehyung deadpanned gasping oh so dramatically before he looked away, shrugging his shoulders.
"Yeah whatever," Jeongguk nonchalantly said pulling himself to his feet, all ready to leave the medical, "By the way, you would be happy to know that you ain't seeing me in school for the rest of the week."
"Why? Are you gonna stay with your father these days?" Jimin questioned scratching his skin near his elbow as he was feeling itchy there.
"No, I am suspended," the younger of them all apprised running his fingers through his smooth blond hair locks pushing them backwards revealing his forehead for a moment, "But don't worry, y'all safe."
"Should I be worried that you are plotting something against us? You can't be this nice." Taehyung was very confused on this certain act from this boy and decided to be so convinced about him being a nice person. He was still skeptical.
"Kim, maybe the image you have of me in your head is bad like really bad but you did something for me, doesn't matter it's because you pitied me that very moment but you did do something for me and;" he sucked in a sharp breath, "I can't be just a heartless dickhead and let your family know about this when I am very much aware of how your father actually is with you."
"Consider this as just a payback, yeah?" Jeongguk was kind of upset about how Taehyung thought he didn't have this basic decency in him to keep them safe when he was the reason they were involved. Obviously he knew the older didn't fancy him much but his thoughts about him being just an insensitive person actually isn't something he was okay with however he can't do anything much either so he just said that instead of getting a whole essay on how he got the very basic manners.
"Rest well, dickhead." Jeongguk said, stealing a glance at the wounded one and left the medical with the only two in it.
"I can never actually trust him," the brunet acquainted.
"I guess there's nothing to be worried about, Tae. You helped him, he helped you back. Y'all done. That's it." Jimin explained, and the latter nodded, "Y'know, the way we have been all these years, a night of being nice is just gonna be suspicious, like yeah?"
"Fair enough."
Jeongguk was already walking up the stairs to get his clothes and other stuff to leave the campus as he wasn't allowed to stay here for the rest of the week and he had to go home.
In some way, it was a good thing because his mother would have been alone and needs his presence at the empty house.
All he had in mind was those yellow eyes, he can't actually connect the dots at the moment.
Why would someone attack his father like that? If that was because of the wand, they could have taken it without petrifying.
But then again that stranger who tried to break it off his frozen body.
What is all these about? was what he muttered in the back of his head but found no answer.
But all these mess, he understood one thing clear.
Kim Taehyung wasn't that bad.
