"Your dad will be okay, Jeongguk."
The words echoed against the wall of Belfort as he was sitting in front of the cabin where his father was kept and the healers and medical was in.
"Mom, I can't just digest the fact that it was any of those teng monsters, dad surely knew how to deal with them and now him petrified because of any of these―" Jeongguk paused for a moment as he took a cautious look around for apparently no reason, "This has to be something else."
"The men who were with him are assuming it's some creature with yellow eyes or something," the woman in her mid forties pointed out, "Whatever it is, I don't care. Just want him fine."
"And as far as I know you Gguk, you will try and go search but―" her eyes were darting into Jeongguk's own, all he could see was the fear and anxiousness, "Don't you dare try something stupid, I am warning you. Can't afford to see you getting hurt, dear."
"I am the mage's son. Jeon Jeongguk is not going to stay cool with this. The people will get a wrong perception of us and I surely don't want dad to wake up and get upset over this." the blond reached out for her hands and held them tightly.
"But what can you possibly do? Go to that deadly forest and search for it? What if the mere sight of it is supposed to ossify? Huh? Promise me, son," she pulled his hands closer to her chest, "You won't go after it. No."
"I can't promise anything," he pulled his hands out of her hold and looked away. Before she could say anything the door to the cabin opened, the healers and medical people walked out with a stoic expression on their faces, "It will take more time than we thought."
"Can I see him?" the younger of them all asked and they nodded, "You can but it's better if you don't."
Ignoring them, Jeongguk pulled himself to his feet and started walking inside. He didn't see father all these time and now that they were allowing, he can't miss the chance.

He knew he will be scared or something like that seeing his condition however didn't expect to see something like this.
"Dad!" he screamed from the top of his lungs watching someone trying to break his father's frozen, stone like hand that had the wand in it.
Whoever it was acknowledged the blond's presence and backed off.
"Who the fuck are you?" Jeongguk asked quickly go for his wand in his jean pocket, "The fuck are you doing?"
The one in the big, black cape with a huge hood that successfully hid his face moved back as Jeongguk took steps forward but before he could catch him, the intruder just ran back to the window from where he came in and jumped out.
The people outside came rushing in because of the screamings while Jeongguk ran to the window and took a look outside to see nothing.

"Hey, Can we cuddle?" Taehyung asked Jimin who showed his middle finger and turned around causing the other to face his back, "Do you expect me to do that after you told my mom that I cut a sorry figure in the examination?"
"Bitch no. You can freeze to ice, I don't care." the cotton candy haired male said causing the other to laugh, "You're such a drama queen, oh Lord. How do you even do that?"
Taehyung pulled himself to his feet and tip toed to the other's bed only to lay beside him and hug him from the back, "You love me, please. I am so cuddle deprived."
"Get a boyfriend for that. It's not my job." Jimin said, annoyed and Taehyung sighed wrapping his hands around the other's waist, "I didn't tell it on purpose, she asked me about it like she knew it but still asked and now what could I have done? Lie and put you in more trouble?"
"She told me 'I know it, Taehyung. Just want to confirm it from you'. Now you tell me where's my fault, huh?" Taehyung explained, "I will block her number okay?"
"Awh, you will?" there Jimin was turning around again to face his best friend who smiled, "Yeah I mean, she doesn't need to know."

The students doubted that they were actually dating in secret because of how they act but the truth was that these two have been together since they were in diapers and the bond they share is just so strong and the comfort they give each other is priceless.
They were the bestest friends.
"Okay, we can cuddle." Jimin smiled and was about to hug him when there was quick knocks on the door.
"It's almost 2 in the morning. Who can that be?" Taehyung asked to no one in particular and sat up. Jimin followed and watched his bestie go and open the door.
"Uh, what brings you here?" Taehyung raised one of his brows at Jeongguk who stood there with his palms pressed on both sides of the door, "Let me in."
Taehyung didn't want to as he sounded so bossy and rude at the moment but considering everything happening in his life, he didn't oppose or start a fight moving aside so that he can get in.
"Close it, Kim. Hurry up." Jeongguk said and the older did what he was told to. He closed the door and walked back only to stare at the other sitting on his empty bed while Taehyung went and sat beside Jimin.
"My dad was attacked. Someone tried to get that wand." Jeongguk blurted out, shocking the other two who now exchanged glances at each other.
"What? Why? How?" Jimin kept on asking the questions as Jeongguk looked down at his Timberland boots his father gifted him last month, "I don't know. If I hadn't made it on time I don't know that intruder might have just broken his hand for the wand."
"Whatever is happening, that wand is the reason. I know it." the blond murmured softly, looking up at the older who sucked in a sharp breath.
"And now I need to find out who's behind all these before they can get to dad again. I can't just risk sitting down idle," he massaged the bridge of his nose and exhaled so loudly, "I need to get to the teng forest first."
"I am getting everything and you're right too but― what do you want from us?" Jimin asked, not figuring out the motive behind all these.
"My friends aren't here at the moment, they all went home for the reunion our families planned together. I was about to go too tonight but all these happened. Now I can't just tell them all these over a phone call, also they can't get back right now either," Jeongguk breathed as he said all of those in one breath.
"What do you propose?"
"I could only think of you two in the whole Belfort―"
Taehyung could literally sense the fluctuation and nervousness in the other's movements. The way he was fiddling with his fingers and stealing glances at them; this isn't the Jeon Jeongguk he knew. He seemed different.
Scared and worried.
"I want you two to accompany me to teng forest." Jeongguk finally said it out loud instead of repeating those words in his mind and like expected, both the boys were more than shocked to hear that.
"I don't wanna die virgin, Jeon Jeongguk, fuck you." Jimin declined it that instant and Jeongguk kind of knew this would happen but also had some hope that they would help him after whatever happened back tonight.
"Uh right. I am sorry. I was stupid to ask you. I am just― uh maybe I need some sleep." Jeongguk ruffled his own hair in frustration and pulled himself to his feet.
He was about to leave when he heard that deep, honey dripping voice speaking after staying silent for all these time.
"Do I get an extra point for helping someone I don't like?"
Jeongguk heard those giggles which he never heard before and turned around to see it was Kim Taehyung standing in front of him while Park Jimin just face palmed getting a clue on what his best friend was planning on.
"Kim, I will give you one of my kidneys if you want," Jeongguk said with the widest smile ever possible.
"I still wouldn't like you, Jeon so no need. An extra point would be fine." Taehyung said and looked over at Jimin,
"Only I will go with him."
