《Star Wars: Rebirth of the Sith》Chapter 1

It was a cold and dark evening in Coruscant but the night air had a way of calming those who graced it. Jadek San'Ti was a young Jedi Knight who loved Coruscant. He paused to take in the night air as he walked onto the long bridge leading to the Jedi temple. He was born and raised in Coruscant. It was his home. He began training as a Jedi when he was eight. Now at Twenty One he was a fully fledged Jedi Knight. His parents were killed when he was an infant. They were merchants who sold salvage that was dearly sought after. But one day their ship suffered an engine failure on the way back to Coruscant and exploded. That is the story that he was told by his friend and mentor, Jedi Master Na Um Tay. He was then taken in by the Jedi and raised as one of their own as they sensed the force in him and sensed a great potential. His mentor, Master Na, was always very impressed with Jadek. He was very inquisitive and was always asking questions. He had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed learning so much so that he lacked the social aspect of life as he dedicated all his time to meditating and studying the force whilst honing his sauber skills. He had mastered the art of dual wielding light sabers in combat, a feat not easy to learn. He excelled in all aspects of his training and turned out to be one of the best and most competent Jedi Knights the order had seen since the time of Luke Skywalker. However there was a downside to this. He was always sent on the most important missions and as a result was away from Coruscant most of the time so he rarely got the chance to enjoy it. Some of his missions had him away for months where he was to scout continuous operations on Empires Chosen shipyards and construction facilities. It was his job to sabotage these and hinder the progress of his enemies in the name of the Republic.

He continued across the bridge towards the Jedi temple to be briefed on his next mission. When he was summoned by the Elder Council this time it was different. There was an urgency about this. They seemed very uneasy when they contacted him. He still took the time though to enjoy the view of Coruscant from the bridge. Looking down from the bridge on a clear night like this was like looking up into the stars. SIlent and peaceful. "I Best be heading on. The council don't like to be kept waiting" he muttered to himself. He turned from the wall of the bridge and walked up to the huge doors at the entrance to the temple grounds. He motioned at the guards to have them opened.
To the people of Coruscant the Jedi temple was a bastion of hope and it made them feel safe but that wasn't always the way. People used to think that the Jedi were a scourge on the galaxy but each time the Jedi temple was destroyed the Jedi rebuilt it. It was a show of their strength and their resolve and over time people began to have faith in the Jedi once again. Ultimately when the Jedi had assisted the New Republic in the elimination of all major galactic threats the people felt protected again. To many people now the Jedi were living proof that they should never give up on what they believe in.
As Jadek entered the courtyard of the temple he was greeted by EL-7, a protocol droid, who acted as a guide to all those who came to visit the temple. "Master jadek", greeted the droid "The council have been expecting you. They are in the chamber of light. I trust that you know where that is?"
"Thank you EL-7. Yes i know i am headed there now" replied Jadek as he dismissed himself from the droids company and continued into the courtyard. It was a grand spectacle at night. There was a huge fountain in the centre of the courtyard and at night it was lit up in such a way that it looked like an ice sculpture dancing majestically against a starlit canvas. He always found it difficult to take his eyes away from it when he was passing through the courtyard. But, as always, he did and headed into the main hall. Again, the main hall was a grand place. Pillars of marble reached up for what looked like an eternity before they stopped at the ceiling. The walls were filled with tapestries depicting Jedi success stories. Many people thought the Jedi were heroes of the Republic and this room certainly gave that impression. There were statues of ancient Jedi knights throughout the main hall. At the far end of the room was the Chamber of light. It was easily identified by the statue of Luke Skywalker just outside the door ready to greet those who entered the Chamber. Luke Skywalker was a legend among the Jedi and rightly so. All his deeds were very well documented and his stories were told over and over. If he was still here today he would be proud of what the Jedi had accomplished in coalition with the New Republic. It was rumoured that when a Jedi felt troubled Lukes spirit would appear and offer them guidance. Jaded never believed this although he did have an infinite respect for Master Skywalker.

As Jadek entered the Chamber of Light he stopped and faced the statue of Luke as he always did. He put his left hand on the statues right shoulder, bowed his head and said "May you always guide us to the light". As he entered the Chamber jadek pulled back his brown hood revealing a very neat man. Shoulder length black hair and a very tidy beard. He was young but he had the look of someone who was overflowing with experience and skill. Battle hardened and very obedient. He got down on one knee and addressed the council. "Grand Master Hirn, Master Booda, Master Yall. How may i serve the will of the force?" Asked Jadek. Master Booda was a female Twil'ek and was very quiet. Master Yall was the oldest man in the Jedi Order. He was very wise and very respected.
Jadek was still on one knee with his head bowed and would remain there until he was told to rise. Master Hira stood and approached him. He was the most respected Jedi of the current age. He was very polite and well mannered. He was tall and handsome. But his presence commanded respect both from his students and his piers. It almost felt like he commanded the very force in the room around him. "Jadek. Rise my friend! How many times must i tell you that there is no need for such formality." Said Hira as he gestured Jadek up. Jadek stood and replied "and how many times will i continue to show the same formality?". Hira and Jadek exchanged a glance and hugged each other. "It's good to see you back again my friend" said Hira.
"It is good to be back on Coruscant Master although i got a sense from your summons that i wouldn't be here for ver long. You seemed uneasy when you contacted me" said Jadek with concern in his voice.
"Yes Jadek." Said Hira as his calmness began to dissipate. He walked back to his chair and sat down. Looking up at Jadek he said "We will be sending you on your most dangerous and most important mission to date. We are sending you where no Jedi should ever go. But we are sending you because no one is more capable. You are the best."
"You must go to the Forbidden planet of Korriban." Said Master Booda sternly.

Meg The Heavenly Merchant
Updates once a week.(This is a rough draft) Author's Note: This story has grown in ways I did not predict and while it still features a merchant those aspects have gotten less page time than the fighting and romance elements. I have updated the description to represent the story better) For the past fourteen years Meg has dedicated herself to walking the path of a Heavenly Dragon Knight in her favorite videogame, Tattered Realms:Chaos Age. But now the game is shutting down and everyone wants to know what she plans to do for the sequel. Meg isn't sure at first. She knows only that she yearns for the days when she could lose herself in a game without worrying about boss strategies and crushing her rivals. And when her friend suggests playing a merchant her heart is filled with the same wanderlust and inspiration that launched her gaming career in the first place. But if she isn't dominating dungeons and setting records will people still watch her play? And can she really walk away from all the fighting for a quiet life of buying and selling?

This story is rated PG-13+, and may demonstrate some more mature themes over the course of the story. Sixty two years had passed since a near cataclysmic event had taken place, and countless tales from those times and times before have been written into history. History, in of itself, is an excellent teacher to those from many backgrounds, but at the same time, it can teach those with malevolent intent to learn from the mistakes made by collegues and similar historical figures. History can inspire to do good whilist preventing evil, yet at the same time, can inspire evil to become smarter, and more skillful in its ways. An adventurer, accompanied by a protective guardian, had set out on a journey to explore the world of Aequiria, inspired by the thousands of tales formed previously, to forge a tale of their own through iron and strife. . . .
