《Drunk-Dazed (Lee Heeseung x Reader)》Chapter 7: Feelings

—————
Weeks passed, and you and Jay were starting to hang out almost every day now.
You two even started to do a little bit of romantic affection, like kisses on the cheek and pecks on the lips.
But the thing is, you guys aren't dating yet. Jay has asked you to go out with him multiple times, but you rejected him. "I want to take things slow," you always said with a smile. "I'll say yes when I'm ready."
But in reality, you didn't know why you haven't said yes yet. You felt like something was holding you back.
Or someone.
You avoided thinking about the "someone."
Today, you and Jay were on a lunch date at the cafe. You two had just finished the meal when Jay cleared his throat. "Hey, I don't want to rush you or anything, but when are you going to say yes?" he asked.
You sighed. "Jay, I told you many times: I'm not ready yet, but I'll say yes when—"
"You always give me the same excuse. Is something holding you back?" Jay interrupted
He grabbed your hand and squeezed it tight. He looked you in the eye.
"Or is it someone?"
You could see the anger in his eyes. You tried to pull your hand back, but his grip was too strong. "No, there's no one else! I swear!" you pleaded, attempting to release from his tight grip.
Jay finally lets go of your hand and stood up, walking out of the cafe. You ran after him and hugged him from behind. "Please don't be mad," you mumbled into his back. "I do like you, but I'm just not ready to have a boyfriend yet."
You turned Jay around so he could look at you and smiled at him. "But I will say yes pretty soon."

You pecked him on the lips. "You know that I like you back."
A small tint of red appeared on Jay's cheeks. He laughed, "Yeah, I know."
He then grabbed your hand and started the route back to the campus. He was careful not to squeeze it tight this time.
However, part of you was still covered in fear. You thought about it, but then pushed the feelings aside.
It's not a big deal. Jay just has a temper, that's all. You thought.
Don't make him mad anymore.
Heesung laid on his bed, looking up at the ceiling.
A few minutes ago he had kicked one of his drunk-dazed victims out of his room. She begged for her to stay, but Heesung told her to leave.
Something had changed in Heesung. Usually, he spends all Saturday with the girls, but this time he didn't feel like it.
Something was bothering him. Heesung felt like there was a piece missing from his puzzle.
Someone was missing from his life to be exact.
An image of a certain girl appeared in his head, but Heesung pushed it aside. "I need to get some water," he grumbled, standing up and walking into the kitchen.
As he grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge, that same image appeared in his head again. This time it was clearer.
In his head, he could see you grab the water bottle out of the fridge and drink it. He tried to stop you, saying the water was for someone else, but it was too late.
The next scene was with Heesung carrying you into his bed. He was about to strip you down when he saw the look of worry on your face.
He stopped in his tracks and immediately stopped in his tracks. He slipped off his letterman jacket and draped it around your shoulders. You were knocked out cold, and there was nothing else he could do.

Heesung then snapped back into reality and leaned on the counter, trying to catch his breath.
No matter how much he tried, he couldn't get you out of his head. No matter how many nights he spent with other women, all he could picture was you.
Heesung wished he knew why this was happening. He hoped he wasn't catching feelings for you because he wasn't a committed person.
But a tiny part of him knew he was developing feelings for you.

Glitch — Alpha [Swedish] [Svenska]
********* For English readers: (Might as well add this information in English to save the lovely souls looking through our works some time) I probably won't translate this work, but I'm working on another translation within YA, if that's something you'd be interested in. This one's horror/thriller, so.. yeah. Maybe sometime in the future. Otilia works at a daycare when a child disappears. Seconds later, the child reappears, like nothing had happened. She thinks she's worked too much, but when disappearences start to happen all around the globe, she and her boyfriend realize that something has gone really, really wrong. When they get an idea about what could be the cause, no matter how unbelievable, they will do everything in their power to get the information to the right people. This was my first-ever-novel and my first gamelit story (though I had no idea that was a thing/genre at the time). This novel contains a lot of violence and blood and can be uncomfortable to read for some people. There is also some violence from, and off-screen violence to, children.
